What is Drop Shipping?
We've written about drop shipping on multiple occasions on this website. If you want to take a look at our recommended eCommerce courses, take a look at this page >>
For those of you who are new, drop shipping is a type of eCommerce business where you get another company to deal with the shipping and handling issues.
In some cases, the product manufacturer will do this for you, but most of the time you'll need a separate company to store, ship, and manage your inventory (Logistics basically).
In other words, you don't have to manage the inventory, which is one of the most frustrating aspects of eCommerce.
Moving on...
What is Drop Ship Lifestyle?
Drop Ship Lifestyle is an online course dedicated to teaching drop shipping and eCommerce strategies to build a successful online business.
The main course is called Drop Ship Lifestyle Blueprint Course, but there are a couple other bonus courses thrown in, such as eCommerce Design Course, Ad-words for eCommerce, and what not.
What the course boils down to is basically learning how to create a website with Shopify to drop ship items to customers overseas. Of course, there's a lot more to it than that, but that's the basic idea.
Is the Drop Ship Lifestyle Blueprint Course expensive, you ask?
Yes, It is Expensive:

Note: The prices change from to time, and there used to be three memberships, but now there are only two. Chances are, this will change with time. The latest version is DSL v7.0.
I know what you're thinking:
"That's a lot of money!" And I agree. Drop Ship Lifestyle is very expensive, and definitely not for everyone. If you're struggling financially, I do not recommend spending thousands of dollars on a course.
Even, in the best case scenario, the course does work, it will take a few months to see any results from your new business. I believe this is why a lot of people are labeling Drop Ship Lifestyle a scam.
The main course of Drop Ship Lifestyle Blueprint Course, DSL 7.0 is included in both packages, but there are a few extra features in the Ultimate package. For example, one year of free coaching and a custom website, plus a couple other bonuses.
Interestingly enough, for the Premium package, to learn more about it you need to enter your email address. For the other one, you need to fill in a short survey with information about your eCommerce experience.
So you can't even view the check-out page without filling in your contact details. I thought that was a little strange. You can bet they'll be sending you promotional emails as soon as you click submit.

Keep in mind, most people prefer the Premium package, as it's not too expensive, and provides access to the main course, albeit without the extra features.
If you're not ready to grab the course yet, but you want to know a bit more about what is inside, continue reading this Drop Ship Lifestyle review:
Is Anton Kraly a Real Person?
When it comes to online courses, it's always a good idea to check and see if the person behind the course is legitimate.

In the case of Drop Ship Lifestyle, Anton Kraly seems to be the real deal, though we don't have much proof of the "successful" businesses he started before Drop Ship Lifestyle.
Regardless, he has a YouTube channel that is relatively active, a Facebook page, and a personal website. He's also got a few other courses to his name, such as Membership Site Masters, and a couple others.
Logically, if he was a scammer, he wouldn't have his face and information public for everyone to find. He would use a persona or a fake name, like so many scammers out there.
Let's move on training section of this Drop Ship Lifestyle review.
Drop Ship Lifestyle Review: Modules:
I admit, the training modules were not bad, and I think there is a lot of value inside. Most of the lessons are in video format, and there are other downloadable files as well.
As usual, the training is split into several modules; seven, to be exact. The first three modules are dedicated to niche selection, market research, and creating a website. Each module, besides the introduction and Get Drop Shippers, has over 10 lessons, with over an hour of content to consume.

The remaining four are about finding drop shippers, optimizing conversions, traffic, and outsourcing the simple tasks.
In the course, the longest modules are Module 3: Create Your Website (14 Lessons), and Module 6: Get Traffic (11 Lessons). The other modules are relatively short, ranging from an hour and a half to two hours of content.
Although I like the videos, I felt some of them were quite short, and don't provide nearly enough information to get started from scratch.
For example, there's only one 10 minute video on the subject of content creation, one of the most important factors of a website. There are entire books and websites dedicated to this subject, so I feel like there should be at least a few more videos in there.
If you need help on the subject, check out this post... 10 Easy Writing Tips to Writing Quality Content >>
The Focus of Drop Ship Lifestyle:
As you might have guessed, the entire system focuses on using Shopify, an online-store creator for your website.
Overall, it's a very useful tool, and many website owners use it, it's one of our recommended tools. What you need to know is the tool is not free, so that's another expense. Read our guide on how to get started with Shopify.
You'll be setting up a website, installing the Shopify service, and using ads to send people to the store. Having said that, the bottom line is Drop Ship Lifestyle's training is not bad, but nothing too amazing either.

Drop Ship Lifestyle Pros:
Here's what I liked...
1. Great Training and Video Product Quality:
As I said before, the training is decent, and you can certainly learn a lot about drop shipping and building an eCommerce business. The modules walk you though the whole process, from creating a website to finding suppliers in your target niche.
2. Real Person, No Stock Images:
Usually these courses use fake names and stock images for testimonials, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. It looks like the owner is a real person, and the testimonials are from real people, too.
3. Lifetime Access:
Although expensive, the membership will last a lifetime, or at least, as long as the company is active. There are advantages to lifetime access products, such as no pressure to follow the course before your subscription expires. But for the price, I think it's still too expensive compared to similar products in the eCommerce industry.
4. Access to Private Community:
You can access the private Facebook group as well as the Fast Business forum. There are a lot of other features too, such as the Supplier Directory, and a course dedicated to doing business abroad.
Overall, some great features inside, but most courses have a private community, and you can even find some public ones dedicated to the subject.
For example, Wealthy Affiliate has plenty of networking features, such as live-chat, forums, and private messages. Plus it's taught 1,000's of people how to create their own profitable online business on a shoe string budget.
Here's a cool success post of people from all over the world having success online, the only thing they have in common is using Wealthy Affiliate's training.
Affiliate marketing success stories!
~ real people, real work
4 - 5 figures/month online!
The bottom line, as mentioned earlier, is Drop Ship Lifestyle is a good course.
But...
The Cons with Drop Ship Lifestyle:
Here's what we didn't like:
1. Crazy Expensive!
Now, in my opinion, this is the most important downside. Drop Ship Lifestyle is very expensive, and, as we know, the results in this business can vary dramatically.
And there are a lot of other expenses too, that are conveniently left out of the total price. For instance, you'll need to buy a hosting account, a domain name, Shopify membership, and spend money on ads.
When it comes down to it, a lot of money is needed to get in on the ground floor, and while some people think it's well-worth it, I disagree. I feel like there are much better options out there, and cheaper ones, at that.
On the subject of price, I feel like the value you receive is not worth the price you have to pay for it. I felt the videos and modules were a bit short; more like an introduction to eCommerce.
2. Not Much SEO Advice:
Search Engine Optimization is rather complicated, and the Drop Ship Lifestyle only dedicates a couple short videos to it (under 20 minutes each).
Click this post to learn the basics of... How to Optimize (SEO) Your Website >>
From the looks of it, the strategy recommends the "Faster" marketing methods, such as social media and paid ads. While I agree those methods are better for fast results, they're also more expensive, at least when it comes to ads.
In short, if you're looking for a course that shows you how to optimize your website for long-steam, stable, and steady traffic, Drop Ship Lifestyle is probably not the best course for you.
3. Challenging to Get Started:
eCommerce is a tricky business. I know some people who make great money from their eCommerce businesses, but it's not easy to get started.
There's a lot of work involved, and you'll need a lot of money for expenses. For example, shipping fees, product orders, refunds, customer support, and much more. The failure rate for this type of business is high. But you can certainly minimize your risks with the right training.
My recommended drop shipping course teaches you to drop ship on Amazon and it's Amazing. They even have promotions from time to time where they'll give you $500 to get started with ads plus a 6 month guarantee where they'll buy back your inventory if you're not seeing success.
But in regards to drop shipping in general, make sure you know what you're getting into. In other words, it may not be the best online business for some people. I'll mention what I recommend in the next section.
Is Drop Ship Lifestyle a Scam?
I'm sure you have read some of the Drop Ship Lifestyle reviews that label the course a scam, and Anton a liar and cheater.
Drop Ship Lifestyle is definitely not a scam. It is a legitimate course that helps beginners make sense of the eCommerce world. Honestly, if it was a little cheaper, I would recommend it without a second thought.
On that note, a lot of reviews are saying Drop Ship Lifestyle is a Multi-level marketing company, and that is not the case.
But I can't justify spending thousands of dollars on this course, and then having to spend even more for the tools needed.
What Do I Recommend?
There are a lot of online business models that work, and what it comes down to is finding one that works the best for you.
Personally, I have found affiliate marketing works best for beginners because it's easy to start, and there are a lot of different ways to promote products.
One course you can check out, my recommended course, that teaches you how to build a website for affiliate marketing purposes, is Wealthy Affiliate. Plus comes with 10 free lessons so no pressure to join.
Wealthy Affiliate is awesome because, unlike Drop Ship Lifestyle, it's inexpensive, and it not only includes the training material but also hosting, a website management services, a keyword research tool, an amazing community and all the education you need to run your own successful online business. Trust me, I know.
The best part is you can check it out for free with a Starter account.
The Bottom Line with Drop Ship Lifestyle:
So what this Drop Ship Lifestyle review boils down to it the course is decent but too expensive, and a little short in comparison with a similar company like Amazing Selling Machine.
If you're looking to start out in the eCommerce world, take a look at my recommended eCommerce products. Keep in mind, eCommerce can be tricky, and if you don't feel up for the challenge, the affiliate marketing model is an easier alternative.
In which case, Wealthy Affiliate would be the product for you. Leave a comment if you have any questions about my Drop Ship Lifestyle review, and if you join Wealthy Affiliate, don't forget to send my a private message to let me know how I can help you.
Hope to see you inside!
Hey Riaz,
I do think drop shipping is a great avenue for beginners, but not every beginner. First you need to have some money. I’d say at least 10K to 15K that you can lose/risk. So that’s money for proper training like Amazing Selling Machine plus enough money for your first product orders and marketing campaigns.
If you don’t have that money, you can certainly get a loan and so forth. It’s no different than going to college, right. Well, except it would cost less money than going to college.
But what’s a $10,000 investment if you can create an online dropshipping business that creates 5 – 10K of profit per month. Even if it was only an extra $1,000 that wouldn’t take too long to pay for your education. Shoot, most college grads in the States end up with 50K to 100K of debt and they can only get an average paying job.
At least with this you’re building your own online business vs. working for someone else.
Hope that helps,
Todd
Thank you for your review on Drop Ship Lifestyle. Personally I agree with you, I think the course is too expensive for what it is offering. It may not be a scam but there are better places online where you could learn the things you needed to know about drop shipping to be successful. Even Youtube offers many tutorials on drop shipping all for free (though you have to be sure to find a good one). And there are many excellent blogs about eCommerce as well.
Great points SailingAway. You can find free information online for most any topic including drop shipping or affiliate marketing. However, I think there is great value in following a structured program.
I think most people need this type of direction to get their business off and running. Otherwise it’s a lot of trial and error. I know this cause I started out in eCommerce by drop shipping on Amazon.
But agreed, for the product the price didn’t match up in my mind. For the ultimate training for eCommerce and drop shipping, go with the gents at Amazing Selling Machine.
There the best program for the dollar. Plus they have so much support and other guarantee’s within their program to make them the obvious choice.
Drop ship lifestyle seems to be a very nice platform where lot and lots can be learnt but I’ll say its really not for everyone, its members are selectively reach out to because of it expensiveness and this price is not on the benefit in price of newbies whoa re just trying to start the online business thing. Really interesting pros here and a standard holding course it is but its really hard to start up because of additional expense. But the best part of it is its not a scam and money can be made from oy by those who can afford it. Thanks for sharing, I really love it.
You bet Jones and thanks for your feedback on my Drop Ship Lifestyle review, much appreciated. I agree, after working online for over 5 years now I’d say that most new marketers don’t have $1,000’s of dollars that they can throw at new training programs. That’s one main reason I like Wealthy Affiliate’s online business training center so much. It’s the most economical way to build an online business.
Cheers,
Todd
Hey Todd, awesome article. I love your perspective on all of the businesses that you do your reviews on, its an eye opener and yeah, that is very expensive the dropshipping lifestyle. I was sort of thinking of going that route when it came to my business and really trying to evolve it but the problem was that the expense was often higher than I could afford. But, your info came in handy all the same so thanks for that.
You bet RJ and thanks for your feedback on the review. Cheers
I must confess this is a really great idea. I have heared alot about the ecommerce market and how one earn some cool money from it, during that process Drop shop lifestyle was suggested to me and that’s why I made a search on its review and I got here. I love the idea. But $3000 is a whole lot. I’ll rather go with the suggestion you have which is Wealthy affiliate. Bit we all know a bit of broad knowledge would help a lot. Any link you’ll suggest that I learn more about Wealthy affiliate from?
You bet Dane, check out my extensive Wealthy Affiliate review to get all the details on their programs including the pros and cons.
Cheers,
Todd
Hi! Thanks for the review! That course IS crazy expensive! Oh, my word. Of course, it is a lifetime membership, but still. I’m glad to see it isn’t another scam though with REAL photos. And it’s also fairly expensive usually to start in eCommerce by buying inventory or supplies, and such, too, right? I definitely agree that affiliate marketing is a better choice for beginners or people with limited resources to start out at first.
You got it down Selenity. I started out online by drop shipping on Amazon and it’s an great concept and wonderful business idea, but it’s not for everyone.
First, know that you can make money faster and usually much more with eCommerce vs. affiliate marketing. But you can also lose money much faster. You can have issues with shipping or worse, your products don’t sell.
So affiliate marketing is the lest amount of risk and also can generate income in a relatively short period of time, but can build momentum with time and build a massive online business or you can later branch out to include eCommerce on your affiliate marketing website. So they can intertwine within one online business/website.
Hope that helps and thanks for your feedback on Drop Ship Lifestyle.
Thank you for bringing to light that Drop Ship Lifestyle is not for beginners. With a price tag like that I can see why. I’m to see though that it has some decent ratings at least. Lot’s of times with such a steep price comes a suspect product. I’ve heard some things about drop shipping, but I must admit my knowledge is limited though I’m always for ways to capitalize online. I think I’ll refer back to your post when I have a little more knowledge about drop shipping. Thanks for the info here!
You’re welcome Pentrental. Stick with affiliate marketing and work on building traffic to your site. Once you get traffic, you can add an eCommerce product that benefits your niche audience. You can simple find a supplier and have a relationship where you can take orders on your site and then fulfill them through your drop-shipper. So yes, it’s another great steam of online income.
Best,
Todd
One of the things that has soured me a little on drop shipping is, at least when you start, most of the products are shipped form overseas and the delivery time can be long, plus I found that many of the items were not of quality construction. I even bought a few of the items I wanted to sell and I was not impressed and wouldn’t be happy selling them to other people.
I guess I am in the affiliate business for the long haul because I can promote great quality products and they can be delivered within days.
Thank you for the great review though.
Great points Rick. Sounds like you had an issue with quality control. You’ve got to really check out your suppliers and usually develop a long term relationship with them. But yeah, that’s one of the great benefits to affiliate marketing, you can promote the highest quality products and never have any risk of owning or shipping them.
Cheers,
Todd
Thank you. Nice website and I like your pop-up buttons. It sounds like a good course but it has really high start up costs. The nice thing about Wealthy Affiliate is the low start-up cost. Remember, it takes time to get traffic to your website, and to get sales going. Sometimes you have to keep trying for many months, even a year! Before your first sale comes in. Thats because Google does phases of user testing with new URL’s. So keep writing because one day your website will get ranked higher on google and you’ll get traffic and sales!
Hey C, thanks for your feedback on working online as well as my Drop Ship Lifestyle review. Although I’d say it shouldn’t take you a year to see a sale. Gosh, I think if it takes you that long you’re doing something wrong. It took me 3 weeks for my first sale online but everyone is different.
You definitely have the right mentality down of not giving up, I think too many new students give up too soon.

Great review Todd!
I’ve always been curious about how Dropshipping works and Dropship Lifestyle seems very interesting but that heavy price tag is really something else! $3k for the basic package, how would that help beginners when we’re still new to the game? I was wondering, do you think dropshipping is a great opportunity for beginners to get into?
