Luckily for you, there are loads of free online marketing courses out there, and you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars to learn the basics.
In this article I’ll share some of my favorite free online marketing resources with you.
Before we begin, if you landed on this article because you’re looking for a way to start a business completely for free, I think that’s the wrong mindset.
There Will Always Be Expenses…
Regardless of what business model you chose, there will always be some unavoidable expenses.
You can try to avoid these expenses by using the cheapest services and tools out there, but cheap tools don’t always provide the features you need.
There are some things in life that you shouldn’t cheap out on.
In my opinion, if you are serious about building a business, I wouldn’t cheap out on the tools needed to get it done.
But when it comes to learning how to build a profitable website, there are plenty of free marketing resources out there.
So without further delay, let’s dive in.
Recommended Free Online Marketing Courses:
This is one of the most common questions I see at online forums regarding internet businesses; “Where Do I Start?“
For me, the best place to start is somewhere that can not only provide you with solid training material but also has a community who can support you.
Below I’ll list some free resources that will make it super easy for you to get started.
1. Our Email Series:
In our email series we walk you through most of the beginner steps to build a profitable online business.
You can hit the button below to sign-up for free.

I highly recommend checking it out.
But if you don’t want to…
2. Wealthy Affiliate:
Wealthy Affiliate is my favorite online business product because it’s an all-in-one deal for everything related to building an online business.
They have hosting options, a website builder, a community, tools, and so much more.
If it wasn’t for Wealthy Affiliate, I would have never made this website in the first place, and I would still be struggling to make money online.
You can sign up for free and take their free training course.
3. Internet Marketing Websites:
There are thousands of blogs that talk about making money online. Some of them are useless… but there are a lot of decent ones out there.
Below is a list of some we recommend.
And a ton of others!
When it comes to online business, it’s important to be in-the-know to know what does and doesn’t work.
It’s an ever-changing landscape.
Does internet marketing even work? Read this post.
4. Google Primer:
Google Primer is a new free app where you can learn various skills with flash cards.
Read the full review of Google Primer here.
I think it’s a cool way to build a foundation of knowledge while you are away from your computer.
5. Hub Spot Academy:
Hub Spot offers free certification courses that will keep you up to speed on various online sales tactics, an incredible free resource!
You can learn more about Hub Spot right here.
Besides their official academy material, the website’s blog itself is really interesting and worth checking out as well.
6. Google’s PPC Guide:
Did you know Google offers it’s own guide for Ad-Words? It will teach you how to create and run successful ad campaigns.
You can find more information here.
Not only do you learn how to create ads, but also track and improve conversions, a really useful skill to know!
7. YouTube:
There are tons of YouTube channels dedicated to online marketing and other topics related to building an online business.
Be careful though. YouTube can be a black hole. You start off watching videos that interest you and before you know it you’re watching something completely unrelated.
I recommend doing a few quick searches for topics you want to learn more about and watch the first videos you find.
You’ll be surprised what you can learn!
8. Udemy:
From time to time teachers offer free classes on Udemy and they’re definitely worth taking a look at.
Udemy in general has a lot of good classes, though most of them can be quite expensive, every now and then there are really good deals.
In fact, most of the time there are a bunch of classes for less than ten dollars.
Worth looking into!
And you can also sign up as a teacher to offer classes as well, a free way to make some extra cash.
In Closing:
In my opinion, it’s worth spending some money on a good internet marketing course, as long as you’re sure it will benefit you.
But you don’t have to spend money right off the bat, especially if you’re broke.
And the resources mentioned in this article should point you in the right direction.
You could build a really nice foundation of knowledge from free courses alone.
Also online forums like Warrior Forum are a great place to look for advice.
Word of advice. When you start learning how to build an online business, its best to take action as soon as possible.
Don’t get stuck in a learning loop!

Hey Daizy, I’d go with the training course that taught me, Wealthy Affiliate.
It’s easily the best value and education online. It should be expensive, but it’s not.
I’m still a member there as well because they have some great tools that I use daily and I continue my education with their weekly webinars.
Cheers

These are some great resources for actually connecting to some good and free internet marketing training. I’ve took the Wealthy Affiliate training program to start my online business.

I also like Solo Build It.

Thanks for the feedback, both programs are solid but I’d say WA is the more newbie friendly of the two.
Cheers
