What is Gold Opinions?
Gold Opinions is a rather standard survey platform. Their goal is to link the best and highest paying surveys to people. It's advertised as a way to quickly and easily make extra money from home with no experience required.

But does it really work as promised? We'll get into that in a moment. What you need to know is Gold Opinions is a Clickbank product. It's not an individual platform, like the other survey websites we reviewed in the past.
One thing to keep in mind is Gold Opinions is not free. You would think these platforms that link you to other platforms would be free, but that's not the case here. Overall, Gold Opinions looks like any ordinary survey websites.
How Much Can You Earn?
The problem with Gold Opinions is it's advertised as a survey platform, when in reality it's a middleman. What this means is it doesn't really provide anything unique, instead, it redirects you to actual survey companies where you can earn cash. This is the first reason I think Gold Opinions is a scam.
Most of these survey products do the same, although they don't charge for the information. As far as earnings are concerned, Gold Opinions doesn't pay members. They only redirect you to other offers and companies.
On that note, Gold Opinions says you can earn an average of $10 - 100 dollars for each survey on their website. Can you see the problem? If you read any of our other survey platform reviews, then you probably know most survey sites don't pay nearly that much. You're lucky to earn a few cents to a couple bucks an hour.
This begs the question...
How Much Does Gold Opinions Cost?
On the homepage, you'll see a button labeled "Start Your Trial", and most of the time, you would assume this means a free trial. Not the case here.
Gold Opinion offers a paid trial, it costs $1 to start the trial for a week. When that week is over, then the real membership fee will be added, which comes to $27 a month.
Quick Facts:
- Gold Opinions is a middle man
- Doesn't Pay, Only Links to Other companies
- one dollar trial for 7 days
- $27/month
Why should you pay $27 a month when the survey companies Gold Opinions links you to are free? From what I can see, there's absolutely no reason to pay $27 a month for this product.
As a matter of fact, I just reviewed Grab Points, so you could check them out as well, they don't charge anything to use their platform.
What I Didn't Like:
Right off the bat, there are a few things that I didn't like about this website.
1. Misleading Sales Page:
Besides not being an actual survey company, their income claims are completely blown out of proportion. Here's a screenshot:

Doesn't that seem a little too good to be true? Especially considering Gold Opinions doesn't even pay members.
2. No Reason to Pay for This:
For starters, survey companies should never charge people to join. One sign a survey site is a scam is if it charges you.
These companies make plenty of money in other ways, they don't need to charge members. The one dollar is reasonable, but there's no way this product is worth $27 a month.
The worse part is members have been struggling to cancel their subscription. Another sign Gold Opinions is a scam.

3. Cookie Cutter Clone Site:
After a little digging I noticed Gold Opinions uses the exact same sales page and template as many other products, changing only the name and descriptions.
Guess what? All of these other products also charge one dollar for a free trial, and then $27 a month. They even use the same membership card images. It's crazy!
I feel like whoever is behind these products just keeps throwing out the same type of products out, over and over. I wonder if they're even making any cash.
Don't believe me?
Let's look at some examples:
Below is a screenshot of the Gold Opinions sales page.

Looks like an ordinary sales page, right? Now look at this product about finding high paying writing jobs online...

But wait, there's more! This one is about how to make money from YouTube.

There are several other products with the exact same template out there. Now, I know using the same template is not a sign a product is a scam. Many legitimate marketers use templates for their products because it saves time.
Nevertheless, all of the above products are on Clickbank, they have far too much hype in the sales page, have hired actors, and charge $27 a month. It looks suspicious, to say the least.
To me, this is the clearest sign Gold Opinions is a scam. Just a bunch of low quality, quickly made products without any value.
Is Gold Opinions a Scam?
In my opinion, Gold Opinions is a scam, and you should avoid them. Although they do promise a 60-day refund guarantee, I wouldn't want to test it.
If I want to find survey websites, a simple Google search is enough to find what I need, there's no reason to pay for that information.
What Gold Opinions is from perspective is a internet marketing product that tries to use monthly fees to make money and affiliate marketing to send you to legit survey sites.
Now none of this is wrong. Affiliate marketing is AWESOME and so is selling products online. But the misrepresentation and deceitful marketing is not.
A Much Better Alternative:
As far as survey platforms go, I think Survey Junkie is the best one I tried so far. It's free, and the rates are decent too, although there are not many offers for people who live outside of English-speaking countries.
On the other hand, if you want to make more substantial money online, I recommend learning how to build a simple affiliate marketing website. It doesn't cost much to get started and you can earn a ton of money by building one.

Hey Todd,
This is an informative and educative review on Gold Opinions. I liked your honesty and correct informations that you have given about this platform. Really who would pay 27$ in a survey platform where most of the legit platforms have free membership opportunities. I have learned a lot of things from your article. As it does not work the way it says I will choose other platforms like survey junkie.
Thank you for writing such a helpful review.
Agreed Mahin, paying for a survey site is certainly bold but I can’t see this site lasting too long. One to avoid for sure…
Hi there; I appreciate your review on Gold Opinions Review. It takes people like who are not afraid to expose dishonesty to help the vulnerable from fallen victim to these vultures.
While they could charge a small fee to identify to seekers, some Survey sites twenty-seven dollars is way too much to charge for something free.
DorcasW
Hi DorcasW, thanks for your take on Gold Opinions and agreed, they can charge one if there’s something of value on the site, but that’s not the case.
I saw this online Todd and decided to take a look some time back and – what a load of …… it is
Why should anyone pay $27 per month to join a survey company? I was angry when I found this and you are right, survey junkie is so much better although I don’t recommend this to anyone looking for a great income
You mentioned Affiliate Marketing and this is my no.1 recommendation as over 4 billion people search online looking to buy, learn about good products etc and more and more companies are moving their products online as this is where marketing and sales growth happens and earning a full time living as an Affiliate Marketer is the perfect choice of work from home biz
Thank you
Amen Vicki, you’ve got it down right. Affiliate marketing is an even playing ground and anyone can get involved and make money. That’s what’s cool about plus the fact that when you get an affiliate website established, it can act as a passive income source. That’s pretty awesome in my opinion.
Thanks for your feedback on Gold Opinions!
I honestly wonder what it’s like on the other side of these illegitimate survey sites, like what’s in it for the site owner? Scamming people by hoping they don’t read the fine print or forget to cancel their membership? That’s not even a sustainable business model. I guess that’s why they keep making clone websites offering different “products” when it’s really just the same old, haha.
Survey sites aren’t really something I’d recommend to make money, anyway. Of them all, I’d have to agree that SurveyMonkey is the most legitimate. But, like I said, just not my cup of tea.
Thanks for your input Andre and you are correct. Survey’s don’t make much money. The reality is that in order to make long term income online you need to provide a service or product that provides value to someone.
Sites like Gold Opinions are just quick cash grabs for the creators and it’s too bad for those that participate.
I remember some months ago I purchased a product similar on click bank. I tried to make it work but they wanted me to connect with other websites which I needed to pay a subscription fee. I complained to Clickbank and after some discussion they refunded me the money. It was a scam!
I wonder why Clickbank don’t take down these apps. People are being charges with information that can be found without paying anything.
Thanks for the infomation
Clickbank is known for not screening the affiliate programs they have on their site, so you always got to due your homework when you look at products on Clickbank.
That being said, they always offer money back guarantees so it helps, but nobody likes to waste their time or energy on inferior internet marketing products.
Thanks
I always appreciate a good review, so thank you! I haven’t heard a whole lot about Gold Opinions to be honest so this post is definitely helpful. 20 out of 100 doesn’t sound like a great score. I found your pros amusing, refund guarantee! If that’s the only pro then I am steering clear for sure haha. I will be following your recommended links, so thank you again for an honest review!
You bet Pentrental, thanks for your feedback on Gold Opinions as well.
I figured it probably wasn’t worth the time. It seems there really aren’t any survey sites that pay anything worth the time to do them, and sometimes they let you do part of a survey and then suddenly tell you you’re not qualified. I always thought it might be a good way to earn some extra income as I built up my affiliate marketing site, but I’ve changed my mind, and it appears Gold Opinions is no different. I can’t believe they actually charge money to join, that’s so wrong. I’m glad people like you take the time to review these programs. Hopefully you will save a lot of people a lot of aggravation!
Thanks Babsie, I appreciate your feedback and insight about our Gold Opinions review. At least your on the right path of creating your own affiliate website.
