Today we’ll show you how to check your website ranking within Google, Yahoo and Bing.
We’ll also show you how to rank content quickly and in the top spots of search engines.
If you’re a website owner that can benefit from free (organic) traffic that targets a specific niche audience, this post is for you.
Let’s begin.
First Thing to Do: Find a Keyword Tool
To rank content; for FREE, that hits the top position in Google, we need to start with keyword research.
For that, we need to use a proper keyword research tool.
There’s a ton of keyword tools out there, but I like keyword tools that are easy to use and economical.
My favorite tool also tracks progress by measuring your post and page rankings.
The keyword research tool I’m referring to is called Jaaxy.
Jaaxy works like a charm to rank quickly in search engines like Google and YouTube. There are other benefits to using Jaaxy that we’ll discuss later in the post.
How To Check Your Website Ranking:
Check out this short instructional video to see how I use Jaaxy to check my website ranking in seconds.
The concept with ranking is simple; target low competition keyword phrases that are easier to rank and have a decent amount of monthly searches.
You’ll also notice in this video that as you start ranking under your specified “low competition” keyword phrase, you will begin to rank for similar keyword phrases.
The ranking section of this video takes just a few seconds to show. It starts at 1 min 3 seconds.
The rest of the video discusses how to find low-competition keyword phrases and briefly discusses the metrics of the Jaaxy Keyword Search feature.
You can see that with Jaaxy it’s rather easy to check your website ranking in seconds.
Wanna Check Your Website Ranking’s Right Now?
First, go to Jaaxy by clicking this link – GO TO JAAXY
You will be taken to the Jaaxy homepage, I have set the link to open up in a new tab. Then you can follow the directions listed here to check your website ranking.
Once there, sign up for a free trial account and get your 30 free searches.
It looks like this..
No credit card information is required to use the tool, just put in your name, email address, and make up a password.
Once you enter, you will come to the home page which is set on the Keyword Search Tab as shown below.
Click on Site Rank tab on the top, it looks like this..
Put in your information as shown below and in the video.
Step 1:
Place your website URL in the box as shown below.
Step 2:
Put your keywords under the Keyword Box as shown below.
Step 3:
Hit search and see where you stand.
Note: If your post is not in the top 20 pages of Google, you will get a message saying.. NOT FOUND IN SEARCH RESULTS.
This may mean that you need to give your post some time, or that you chose keywords that are too competitive, or even that you may need to go back and review the quality of your content for that particular post.
Other Cool Site Ranking Features from Jaaxy:
Once you’ve initially checked your website ranking for a particular post or page, Jaaxy will save that information.
The next time you check your website ranking for that same article, you can see exactly where you stand and if you’re page or post has moved up or down in it’s rankings.
Jaaxy will show you how many positions your post or page has changed. Hopefully your ranking position is moving up 😉
You can see this feature by looking at the position indicator.
There is a small arrow that points up or down with the exact amount of positions your post or page has changed. It looks like this.
Other Cool Jaaxy Features:
You can use Jaaxy to search the competition of keywords or keyword phrases that you want to use for…
- Domain Names
- Post & Pages
- Related Affiliate Programs
Jaaxy also offers some other great features that help you…
- Build website content.
- Find affiliate programs.
- Access domain name availability and purchase domain names directly.
- Brainstorm content ideas when you’ve got writer’s block.
- And offers a great affiliate program.

Nice post, I used Jaaxy and found it great to check out my post rankings.
Thanks
nice article!
Great Post, thank you Todd for this nice post. It is really very helpful to check the ranking of my website. You have described all things in such a nice way. Please keep posting nice stuff like this.
Thank you,
Steven 🙂

Really enjoyed reading the post, and you provided the steps that were very easy to follow. Anyone can learn how to check their website ranking in seconds.
I actually use Jaaxy myself and find it really useful. One thing that I’m also getting into now is Long Tail Keywords. I feel like there is just so much competition now and that long tails are the way to go because of how vast the internet is with posts/information on a specific topic or niche.
You’ve got it figured out Arif. I wrote a really in depth post about this topic that really gets into long tail keywords as well as appropriate keyword placement and post-posting recommendations to improve your website rankings and get Google to rank your content faster.
Here’s the post..
Thanks,
Todd
I’ve been working online for awhile now and for months I thought I didn’t need a keyword tool like this. I had a free one that I used that did work great but keyword research always took at least an hour for every single post.
Eventually I did look into a premium keyword tool. Jaaxy is actually the one I went with and I was astounded at how much easier it made things!
I was able to check my page rankings, find great keywords and more. One question I have is, about how long does it take your pages to rise up in the rankings? Jaaxy tells you where you’re at, but if you consistently find yourself on pages 3 and 4 is it because you have low quality content or you haven’t been around long enough?
Hi jCamden, thanks for your feedback with using Jaaxy. I had the exact same experience when I switched from a free keyword tool to Jaaxy. The difference was astounding.
Good question and the answer is that it’s hard to rank content to a new site at first. But as you continue to produce quality content, Google will recognize your site and specific niche and start ranking you accordingly.
Remember to try to get at least 5 comments on your site and as many social share that you can. I could tell you a dozen stories about ranking posts. I’ve had to work really hard on some posts to push them up from the 3rd page to the 1st in Google. Other times I rank page one in an hour.
Just keep producing keyword researched quality content and you’ll do great. Focus on helping your niche, target long tail keywords, and you will do great.
Thanks,
Todd
You have so much really useful and helpful information on this page, and it is laid out in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
I had no idea that Jaaxy could be used to check website page and post rankings, and it is certainly something that I shall be using in future.
The other features that you mention will be really useful too.
Thank you so much for spreading word about Jaaxy.
Hi Chrissie,
Good to get your feedback on Jaaxy, it’s my favorite keyword research tool. I love the extra features and especially like to save my related keywords for future posts and ideas.
The only problem I have with using Jaaxy to check your website ranking is that it can be a bit addictive. But it’s a great tool to check website rank, find those low comp keywords, and get the true competition of your keyword phrases.
Best,
Todd
I didn’t know you could check your website ranking so easily with Jaaxy. I totally know Jaaxy but I didn’t know that I can have so many benefits of it, this is really useful for those people that are creating a website and trying to get traffic to it.
I will try these this and several other things you talk about on this website. The site is a really good resource and you are teaching great information here, it will help me so much to progress with my website. Thanks
Alfred, thanks for your feedback on working with Jaxxy. I would just recommend that you take a little time to explore all the various features that they offer.
One thing that I think is really cool, is to be able to store your keyword lists. That way you can do your research at one time, and then come back later and write your targeted keyword posts.
I also use Jaxxy to find domain names that are related to an industry and then I sell them for profit. You can do the same thing too.
Thanks again for your feedback and have a great day,
Tod
Thanks Todd for sharing this method on how to check your website rankings for Google. I see that the article is centered around the Jaaxy software.
I have tried it myself and can attest to its great functionality, but at this point in time I don’t think it’s in my best interest to purchase it since I have some other resources at my disposal; they’re not quite as convenient as Jaaxy but they’re sufficient for me.
Does this method give the position in the SERPs, and if so, couldn’t you just get this information by typing the keyword into Google itself?
Hi Paul, you can get you are SERP position by going through each one of Google’s pages for your specific keyword phrase. But this takes forever unless your ranking in the first page. I did this too when I was new.
I treat my online business serious with every post that I wright. And so I keep a spreadsheet where I list my keyword phrase for every post, the monthly searches for that phrase, the competition (QSR metric), the number of comments I have on each post, and lastly my ranking for each post.
This allows me to keep track of what posts I need to improve on and which posts I need to work harder and getting comments on or socially sharing them to also improve my natural rankings.
Jaaxy costs me $0.50 per day and I use it everyday. so I think of it as a pretty small investment and since I’ve been using it I found it easier to rank quicker. I also buy domain names that I turn for a profit using Jaaxy.
Hope this helps,
Todd
Thanks for the shortcut on how to check your website ranking.
I’m use to doing it the long way which is by manually searching Google for particular keywords, which if you have a growing website, you know how long of a process that can be.
I am going to give Jaaxy a try and I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Hi Jason,
Jaaxy has been the difference maker in my online business (that and the keyword, seo and online business training that I received at Wealthy Affiliate).
What really made me appreciate Jaaxy is when I started seeing my posts rank highly and quickly. It’s so cool to see your chosen keywords rank in page 1, position 1 in Google.
I actually get over 10,000 people to my site per month for free simply by searching stuff online. Jaaxy works great for not only checking your rankings, but getting good rankings.
Let me know if you have any questions about Jaaxy, you can also read all about them by checking out my Jaaxy review.
Thanks,
Todd
Thanks! I recently created a site and there seems to be a few resources out there to help you check your ranking but after signing up to Jaaxy with a free account it seems to be the easiest. Their keyword research tool seems interesting, so I’ll try that out for a while too.
Hi Gideon,
Don’t just try it out, become a Keyword Research Ninja. Meaning learn how to get traffic for free the easy way. Click the link to read my post on how I rank content so quickly.
Also, realize with Jaaxy you can buy domain names as investments once you easily learn how to read Jaaxy’s metrics. For more information, check out our Jaaxy Review.
Thanks,
Todd
Learning how to check your website ranking is very useful information. And you explain the rank checking process step by step so we can understand even if we have no tech knowledge.
I like that you show your readers, not just tell them, you put images for every step. Also I appreciate you explaining why it is important that we check our website’s ranking, so we don’t live in the fog. Job well done.
To your success
Alex
Hi Alex, thanks so much for your feedback and agreed, learning how to check your ranking is great feedback for tracking your website progress.
Using Jaaxy, I’ve been able to take posts that are searched over 3,500 times by Google users and edit and improve on the post to the point that I got it to rank from the 35th position in google to the top 3, sometimes I hit the #1 spot.
It’s very cool and thanks for the feedback on our post. Take care,
Todd
Through my own experience, i can say that Jaaxy is a powerful keyword tool. As an internet marketer, it’s vital to get your content in the eyes of potential visitors, and using the right keywords can make that process much easier.
I’ve used the website ranking tool within Jaaxy as well, which provides a nice snapshot of how pages on your site are performing in Google. They do offer 30 free searches for anyone who joins, which is a nice way to get an inside look before shelling out any money.
Absolutely correct Matthew. Jaaxy is the tool in my pocket that I use daily to get my posts to rank fast. I also use it to find investment domain names. I can research them with Jaaxy for local businesses then sell them for 10 to 50 times the profit to local businesses that don’t have a clue how keyword research works.
Find a low competition and highly searched keyword based domain name, and you’ve got a nice little side business.
But for all my posts, Jaaxy is where I go too.
Thanks for your feedback
I’ve found that learning how to check my website ranking is very useful information – it’s important to know and use your website ranking as a feedback on the efficiency of your website. There’s no risk with the free trial account, so it’s certainly worth checking it out, at least to see how your website is doing, and to get some keyword and keyword phrase suggestions.
Hi Laurie,
I absolutely agree with you. Since I’ve been checking my website ranking, I’ve found that the SEO skills I’ve learned at the Wealthy Affiliate Training Center work really well. But sometimes in the past I’ve forgot to structure my content in a way that allows Google to categorize and rank my posts.
When I check my rank and see that I’m not getting the desired results, I’ll go back and check out my post, improve on it, re-structure it, and then use Google Webmaster Tools to re-crawl it. Almost every time I find that I can get the post to rank higher and that in turn brings more visitors to my online business on a regular basis.
Thanks for your feedback,
Todd
I love Jaaxy! The site rank section is like the most useful thing ever when it comes to affiliate marking. It’s so easy to type in your website and the keyword to see where you’re ranked.
It’s so fun when I refresh a keyword and see the green arrows, meaning my website rank moved up! Woohoo.
Absolutely Gina. Glad to hear your taking advantage of Jaaxy. Not only is it super easy to check your website ranking, it’s the ultimate keyword research tool to help from day one to get those top rankings.
It’s possible the best tool that any one involved with online business could have. Easy to use, great tutorials, and now they have domain names for sale as well that don’t have any up-sells.
Thanks,
Todd
Hi Todd,
I’ve been using Jaaxy for some time now and it is one of the easiest ways to check your website ranking.
But what’s better about Jaaxy is the keyword research feature, the training on how to rank low competition keywords and the brainstorming function.
It makes my job of writing consistent content about my site easy. Sometimes Jaaxy gives me better keyword phrase ideas than I can come up with myself.
If you work online like myself, learning how to check your ranking is the least of one’s concerns, instead you should focus on how to rank content quickly – which Jaaxy does a great job in teaching how to do this as well as making the process more efficient.
Great post!
Vicky
Awesome Vicky, Jaaxy’s one of my top tools to get real rankings really fast as well. Thanks for leaving your feedback and take care.

Hey Vicky,
Thanks for your feedback on Jaaxy and good point, learning how to check your website ranking is fun and shows progress, but it’s not as important as getting consistent rankings by using relevant keyword phrases that are related to your article topic/niche.
Learn how to do this has made all the difference in my online business. Before I started using Jaaxy, I was picking poor keyword phrases. My subject was good, but my keywords weren’t ranking. And whether you have a personal blog or an online business, you need to learn how to write quality content that will rank quickly.
For anyone who is not familiar to using Jaaxy like myself and Vicky, I recommend you check out my review of Jaaxy to see if it would benefit your website or online business.
Thanks again Vicky for your feedback and advice.
Todd
Hey Todd,
I just wanted to thank you for turning me on to Jaaxy. This the best tool I have found to find awesome keyword phrases for my blog. I also like that I can check my rankings from time to time to see how my posts are ranking, but it’s the keyword research that allows me to rank quickly.
Great product, thanks.
Laura
Hi Laura,
Yeah, learning how too check your website ranking with Jaaxy is a breeze, but you’ve got it right on, it’s the low competition keywords that people are searching on a daily basis that allows you to rank quickly, which is what any online business wants.
Thanks for your feedback on Jaaxy,
Todd
Hi Todd,
I’ve been looking at various programs on how to check my site rankings and I gave Jaaxy’s free trial a shot. I must say that I love it, it’s fast and easy to use and I love how it finds related keyword search terms that I can use to build my blog.
I haven’t used the affiliate program finder, but I think that’s a plus as well.
Thanks for turning me on to Jaaxy,
Christa
You bet Christa, good to hear your enjoying Jaaxy. The affiliate program is convenient, but I really get the most out of the keyword competition and the brainstorming function personally.
I just renewed my second year of my Jaaxy membership and pay like $15/mo for the service which is nothing for how often I use it and the effect it’s made on my online business and website rankings.
If you’re a blogger or have any type of online business, Jaaxy is a must have. Go with the yearly membership and save yourself some money.
Todd
Hey Todd, I’ve been looking for a way to check my website ranking and see Jaaxy does much more than that!!, I will take your advice on producing solid keyword quality content on a consistent basis, and now i can actually see where all my articles rank in Google with Jaaxy thanks Todd
Hi Gino,
Happy to help out and good to hear you like Jaaxy. Learning how to check you website ranking is very easy and kind of fun but what’s really great about Jaaxy is using it to find low competition keyword phrases that are easy and quick to use to get your website content ranking for keywords and keyword phrases that people are actually searching on a regular basis.
I used this system to get my website posts ranking right away, in some cases in a matter of hours after writing a post. Not all go that fast and smoothly, but when you’re using a keyword research tool like Jaaxy, you’re just way ahead of your competitors within your respective niche which will ultimately lead to more sales for your website.
Take care,
Todd
This really is a super easy way on how to check your website ranking!
I personally use Jaaxy and have found it to be an awesome keyword research tool, however I am continually amazed of the power it truly has and all of it’s cool features.
I feel like I am only really scratching the surface of what else it can do!
Thanks for this awesome, informative post Todd! 🙂
~John
Hi John,
Thanks for your feedback on Jaaxy as a keyword tool and website rank checker. It is a great platform that’s just too easy to use. One thing I’ve been using it for is to come up with niche website ideas or niche ideas I can put into existing sites. It also checks domain availability which is convenient. But I like to store my keyword phrases related to potential niches to get an idea of the total number of monthly searches as well as the niche competition.
Thanks again John and have a great week,
Todd
Hi Todd,
Thanks for this post. I was trying to figure the easiest way to learn how to check my website rankings and for sure, Jaaxy has got it covered. I went in and used the free 30 searches and was able to see exactly how my posts are ranking on Google in seconds, plus the keyword research tool is awesome.
For the monthly price for my online business, this is easily one of the best tools I will be using from now on.
Thanks,
Mark
Thanks Mark,
Remember, not only does Jaaxy show you how to check your website ranking quickly, it can find affiliate programs, keyword phrases, and site competition just as fast.
If you look in the training section, there are tutorials to help you get the most out of using Jaaxy.
Cheers,
Todd
Very good post, I’ve been researching how to check your rankings for awhile and I signed up for a free account with Jaaxy. Not only does it check you post and website rankings, it’s awesome for coming up with keyword phrases and has made it easy for me to rank my posts based on my keywords that I find on Jaaxy.
Excellent product, 5 stars and thanks for the post.
Kandi
Your welcome Kandi, Jaaxy is an amazing tool for bloggers, website developers, and content creators. I’ve also benefited with Jaaxy not only to rank my website posts but also YouTube Videos. It’s only a matter of time before the world discovers how awesome Jaaxy is for getting traffic to your site or YouTube vids.
Cheers,
Todd
I really like using Jaaxy to find my site rankings. Not only that, but I mainly use it to complete keyword research. I originally came to your post to find out how to find my post rankings and after using Jaaxy with their free searches, I used some of their training courses and learned how to find low competition keyword phrases that I now use to rank my content quickly.
Just wanted to come back to this original post to say thank you and that I really love using Jaaxy. You’ve saved me so much time and headache.
Thanks,
Anna
Awesome Anna, I know how you feel. Before I started using Jaaxy and taking the training program at Wealthy Affiliate, I was clueless about how to get posts and websites to rank. Now, my posts rank super quickly and it’s made all the difference with my online businesses.
Thanks for the awesome feedback on Jaaxy, not just for how to check your website ranking, but on it’s keyword research function as well.
Todd
Hi Todd,
I never know how easy it is to learn how to check your website rankings. I just started using Jaaxy and it’s awesemo.
Thanks for its info. I also notice you can use Jaaxy to check keyword competition. How has that been working for you?
Thanks for the info,
Rouf
Hi Rouf,
Your welcome for the post. I too didn’t have a clue on how to write posts that rank on page one of Google until I started using Jaaxy. Now I use it before I write any posts and the results are awesome. I have over 50% of my posts on Page One of Google, and another 25% on Page Two of Google. So it works like a charm.
The key is to choose low competition keyword phrases that people are already searching online. Check out this post to learn more.
Learn how to check your website ranking’s is a breeze when using Jaaxy, it’s also gives you great feedback on how your writing content, as well as how well your website is performing.
Have a great day and thanks for your feedback.
Cheers,
Todd
Hey Todd,
I love Jaaxy, it’s the best keyword tool out there. It’s so easy to use and it’s fast. I also like the fact that I don’t have to download anything to my computer.
My main love for Jaaxy is that it saves my information and I can always come back where I left off 🙂
Hi Evelyn,
Thanks so much for your feedback on working with Jaaxy. I totally agree, it’s makes life much easier when you have access to all their tools. It’s easy to investigate content ideas, niche website ideas, find domain names quickly, and gives excellent results for rankings and keyword competition.
Thanks again Evelyn and have a great day,
Todd
Hi Todd,
Checking your ranking with Jaaxy seems like a great idea, so easy and time saving. I use Jaaxy for keyword research but not to check my rankings, so thanks for the reminder.
The keyword research part of Jaaxy is really incredible, you receive all the information you need to find those low competition keywords for your articles.
Really enjoyed your video, it contains some good pointers for picking keywords and shows how easy it is to check your rankings with Jaaxy. Great work!
In the end Jaaxy is much more than a simple keyword tool.
Thanks for the info,
Peter
Hi Peter,
You are right about Jaaxy, it’s much more than a tool to check your website ranking. It’s incredible as a keyword research tool. I just started using it with pay per click campaigns and it has saved me a ton of money.
You can also use it to find domain names for investment purposes and use the affiliate program finder to save time by going directly to the affiliate programs you want to market.
I would agree that the biggest and most helpful feature of Jaaxy is the keyword research function. I use it for each and every post I write and since I started using it, my rankings for my targeted keywords ranks very quickly. The other day I had a post on the second page of Google 2 days after publishing the post.
Anyways, thanks for your feedback on Jaaxy Peter and I’m glad your checking your site rankings now. It will guide you on which posts you should focus on with your marketing efforts.
Best,
Todd
Hello, Todd
AWESOME! I always wondered how to effectively check my website rankings in a quick and easy way. Jaaxy looks cool and definitely the tool to get the job done! Up until now, I used to do it the long and manual way through the Google search engine, but not anymore 🙂
Yes, I too have watched my rankings move up and down which I find very frustrating and annoying at times!
Thanks ever so much for the great tip and I will continue to create quality content along with the right keyword research using your recommendation (the Jaaxy keyword tool).
I look forward to reading more posts from you 🙂
Neil
Hi Neil,
I hear ya. I used to do the same thing too when checking my site ranking. What a time waster. Jaaxy is loaded with cool features and it just takes a little time to see how you can implement them into your own business.
The other day I was checking a post that I was hoping to rank for over a month. But I couldn’t get in the top 20. So I did a little investigation on my keyword phrase and realized I really wasn’t addressing my keyword phrase as much as I should. I eliminated about 2,000 words and rewrote the article based more on what my users would want when searching for my keyword phrase.
Two days later, the article was on the 10th page of Google. Yeah!
There also is some excellent training in the Jaaxy website on how to find niche website ideas. Once I do some investigation, I’ll let you know what I find out.
Cheers,
Todd
Hey Todd,
That’s a great video walk-through. As you know, I have been struggling a bit with page ranking and don’t really know if my content is getting out there. I took your advice and sign-up for a membership with Jaaxy and now I am able to navigate better by knowing what keywords to use and improve on the pages that I am not doing so well.
Thanks!
Hi Cathy,
Thanks so much for the feedback on the video. Yes, I feel very happy using Jaaxy. it has so man features to use for internet marketers or online content writers.
As a matter of fact I was checking my site rank for a particular post that I couldn’t get ranked. The post had plenty of comments and social shares, but I couldn’t get it to rank.
And there was only 167 competing pages. So pretty low competition. I went into the article and made it more relevant to the keyword phrase and the next day, BOOM! It ranked on the 10th page.
If you want to see the article and keyword phrase, it’s right here…Guide Making Money Online.
Have a great week and talk soon,
Todd
