So you're wondering if Opinion Outpost is worth trying out or if it's a waste of time. You're probably sick of all the survey platforms that promise the same things but fail to deliver.
In this review, we're going to take a close look at Opinion Outpost, see how much you can earn, how the platforms works, and if it's something we recommend.

Average Hourly Income:
$3 to 5
Gift Cards or PayPal
Opinion Outpost is not a scam, but it's not a great survey platform. You spend more time filling in your profile and completing qualifier surveys than you do on paid surveys. It's not something I recommend. Continue reading this Opinion Outpost review for a detailed breakdown.
What is Opinion Outpost?
Opinion Outpost is a well-known free survey platform that you can use to earn some money by completing surveys. It works much like any other survey platforms, it's nothing new or unique. It's owned by Dynata, a market research and insights platform.
Is Opinion Outpost Worth It?
In my opinion, Opinion Outpost is not worth it because they demand lots of personal information, you're frequently disqualified from surveys, and it takes a long time to earn points. There are other complaints too, but overall, it's not the best survey platform.
On the other hand, I wouldn't go so far as to say Opinion Outpost is a scam. They do pay members, and they usually unban accounts after they have a chance to review the cases. The support also does reply within a reasonable time frame. It's not a scam, but it's not going to make you rich, either.
Making Money with Opinion Outpost:
Opinion Outpost uses a classic point-redeem system. You earn points by completing surveys and then you redeem those points for either gift cards or PayPal cash.

4 - 5 figures/month online!
Each survey takes around 15 minutes and the reward is between 5 to 50 points. What you need to know is 100 points are equal to $10 - so the average rate for surveys is between fifty cents and five dollars.
From my experience, it's very rare to find a survey that pays five dollars. Most of them pay the point to dollar equivalent of a few cents to a couple of dollars. Here are Opinion Outpost's cashout options:
Cashout via PayPal
The cash option is delivered via PayPal, an online payment processor. The minimum withdrawal is $10 which is equal to 100 points. The threshold is not too high, which is nice. Of course, you have to factor in PayPal fees. Overall, the payment usually arrived a few days after a request is submitted.
Since the minimum cashout is low, a lot of people think Opinion Outposts is worth it.
Gift cards, the most popular way to redeem points. With Opinion Outpost, you can redeem all kinds of gift cards, such as Amazon, ITunes, or Alawar Games (a video game retailer). I felt like they could offer more gift card options.
The good news is the minimum cashout for gift cards is half of the threshold for PayPal cash, instead of 100 points, it's 50 points. It usually doesn't take very long to earn enough to redeem a gift card.
Opinion Outpost offers quarterly prize draws. They claim the prize pool is $10,000 and entry is free. It seems like the more surveys you complete the better your chances of winning the draw. I'm not sure if it's a legitimate draw, I only found one Tweet mentioning a winner back in 2015.
Opinion Outpost Alternatives:
Here are three free Opinion Outpost alternatives:
1. Survey Junkie
Survey Junkie is a decent survey platform. It's one of the most popular, and it almost always has something for you to do to earn a few quick points. They offer cash payments via PayPal once you reach $10.
2. Prolific Academic
Prolific Academic is a more study-based survey platform based in UK. Members are paid to participate in online studies, and you can also complete other tasks for cash. The minimum cashout is 5 pounds, and payments are made every week.
Swagbucks used to be the biggest survey player, but it has died down quite a bit since it's launch. Still, while the survey quality and payments dropped overtime, it can still be a decent way to make some extra income.
4 - InstaGC.com
Another basic micro-task a survey website. The upside is this one has lots of offers to work on.
Common Problems with Opinion Outpost:
After doing extensive research, reading many Opinion Outpost reviews, and trying several surveys, I noticed a pattern of complaints. Be careful.
It seems like one of the most common complaints about Opinion Outpost is that they lock accounts for no reason. There are many cases where people signed-up, take enough surveys to cash-out, and then suddenly they're locked out from the platform, banned with no explanation. It's very frustrating!
In most cases, Opinion Outpost does deal with these cases, and most of the time, the accounts are enabled again. But there are many cases where people's emails and other support messages were left unanswered.
Another issue with Opinion Outpost is the earnings are just so low. For starters, the amount of surveys are limited, and it's not uncommon to have an empty feed. When you do have surveys, they usually only pay a few cents each.
And yet another frustrating aspect of Opinion Outpost is you need to qualify for each survey. What this means is you have to answer a set of multiple choice questions before you can start the actual survey. Bear in mind, you're not paid for the time spent answering these questions.
And if you don't provide the right answers, then you'll be disqualified from the selected survey. What ends up happening is you spend a lot of time working on the platform just to be rejected from surveys. That's a lot of wasted time!
So those are just a few pointers to keep in mind when it comes to Opinion Outpost.
Want to Learn How to Really Make Money Online?
You probably know by now that taking surveys online won't make you rich. If you can find a good platform, then you can easily make a few dollars here and there, but it will never be full-time income.
To make full-time income online, you need to build your own business. There are many different paths that you can take to reach the same goal, but the path I recommend is affiliate marketing because the startup costs are low and it's not very complicated.
But you need to know where to start. You need a plan to follow. And that's where my favorite course, Wealthy Affiliate, comes into the picture. It's a beginner-friendly platform that provides you with the training and tools you need to succeed online.
