Parallel Profits Review Summary:
Rating: 80/100
Pros: Good course on how to start a search engine marketing agency. Potential to make a lot of cash. In-house team to complete the work for you.
The Cons: Very competitive. Expensive.
The Bottom Line:
Overall, not a bad course if you want to learn how to create a SEM agency. On the other hand, it's expensive, and requires a lot of constant work on your part. Instead, I prefer a more passive income approach. If you wanna learn more about that, you can find my recommended program below.

What is Parallel Profits?

Parallel Profits is a online business course by Steven Clayton and Aidan Booth. What makes this course special is it's not another course dedicated to teaching beginners how to make profitable websites. Instead, the focus is on offering and selling a service, basic SEO services to be exact.
Personally, I find this approach quite interesting because offering a service can be incredibly profitable, and that's money in your hand. It's fast cash, assuming you can deliver the desired results, of course.
Note: At the time of this writing, Parallel Profits has temporarily closed it's doors to the public but there is a waiting list. I believe the doors will open again soon, in which case I'll do my best to update the review accordingly.
Nevertheless, the idea behind Parallel Profits is to offer a service to small business owners and scale from there, eventually creating a franchise. The whole service is designed to have a 70% profit margin.
We'll talk more about that in the next section.
Parallel Profits Training Material:
Parallel Profits provides about 8 weeks worth of video training material. The material is divided into 8 modules. On top of that, there are weekly webinars with live Q&A sessions, as well as exclusive access to Facebook support groups.

The first couple of modules are more introductory in nature, describing the course to come, and the business overview. The third module is dedicated to legal advice, such as how to register your business as an LLC and what not. Very useful for beginners.
From there on it's all about generating leads through a wide variety of marketing methods and closing clients. The ultimate goal is to secure a few high-paying clients on a monthly retainer, so you can have a constant flow of cash coming in.
How Does it Work?
For those of you wondering is Parallel Profits a scam, this section is for you:
Parallel Profits teaches you how to essentially create your own marketing agency to offer simple search engine optimization services.

As we mentioned before, there is a team you can outsource the work to within the member's area, and they cost a fraction of what most new employees would cost.
In most cases, outsourcing the simple tasks to the team will eat about 30% of your income. The main part you have to worry about is forming an official business entity and communicating with clients.
There is training to walk you through how to do all that and more. Overall, a simple and powerful concept.
SEM Agencies:
The training teaches you how to put together a search engine optimization service you can sell to business owners. These type of businesses are called Search Engine Marketing agencies, or SEM for short.
This particular business model is nothing extraordinary. Essentially it's what most marketing agencies do.
But Parallel Profits provides a closer look at the back-end systems, such as billing clients, services & pricing, franchises, accounting, scaling, customer reporting, lead generation, and a whole lot more.
That's the core money-making idea of Parallel Profits.
Parallel Profits Price:
Overall I like the principle Parallel Profits teaches, but you should be aware of the price. Currently, the course can be bought for $2,497 in total, a rather steep amount. There's the possibility of earning that back from one client, although there are no guarantees.
Generally, if you're tight on cash, this is not something I recommend because the price is quite high. Personally, I know that I can put together my own SEM Agency locally based on the training I've taking and it costs me less than $1/day.
Nevertheless, Parallel Profits does simplify a lot of the work, such as allowing you to use their personal team to manage tasks, instead of hiring third parties. There are also payment installation plans.
Parallel Profits Pros:
1. Great Service-Based Business Model:
I do admit, the core idea behind the service is smart and a lot of local businesses need help with search engine optimization.
On the other hand, I do feel like these type of businesses are becoming more and more common, so they competition is increasing at a rapid pace. Still, I think there's still a decent amount of money to be made in this industry.
2. Great Training - Especially Legal Advice:
The training videos and tutorials are quality, but I particularly found the sections about legal advice the most helpful. They will walk you through the easiest ways to set up business accounts, register as an LLC, and a whole lot more. This is very important if you plan to offer a long term service online.
3. In-House Team Works for You:
Not for free, mind you. You do need to pay the in-house team, but it's a lot easier and cheaper than finding your own professionals to work under you.
The way it works is when you secure a client, a portion of that income is used to hire the in-house team to complete the tasks.
Of course, the service is optional, and you can save money by completing the tasks on your own, but that's more work. I thought it was nice to have a place to dump your extra tasks.
4. Easy to Get Started:
Whenever someone asks me what is the fastest way to make money online, I always mention either sell something you own or start offering a service. When you offer a service, that's hard cash right in your hand. And if you ask for an upfront deposit, that's even better.
Parallel Profits teaches you how to build your own personal marketing agency, which can lead to excellent results, and it's not terribly hard to start.
But you'll have to deal with invoices, taxes, customer support, and all the other complications involved with being the owner of a small business.
It has to be legal, after all.
5. Limited Entry:
As I said before, the doors to Parallel Profits are currently closed, and although some people might say this is a downside, I can see the logic.
When these kind of programs are flooded with people looking to make fast cash, the quality of the community drops significantly and things start to fall apart.
In my opinion, it makes sense to limit the amount of people who can join because it's easier to manage the community and services. Less money on their part, sure, but I think it pays off in the long run.
The Cons:
What we think could use improvement with Parallel Profits.
1. Very Expensive:
Yes, I know there's a good chance you can make the investment back after securing a few clients. Nevertheless, most people don't have the cash to test the waters. If the price was a little bit lower, I would have no complaints.

2. SEM Agencies Have a Bad Reputation:
Are you tired of all those link exchange emails? SEM Agencies tend to havea bad reputation these days because most of the marketers for those companies resort to spam-like tactics to find clients.
Tactics such as: cold calling random numbers, mass-emailing every email address found online, relentlessly messaging people on Facebook, and what not.
Not to mention most of the agencies fail to deliver any results, and Google is cracking down on these services. Buying backlinks, a service most SEM agencies offer, is a dangerous game because Google can quickly catch on and penalize your site for it.

Yes, these are simple search engine marketing services that most local businesses need, but they're also the same services everyone else is offering too. And if you deliver the same result as every other marketer, why should someone hire you?
Maybe that's why they chose to limit the amount of people who can attend.
Is Parallel Profits a Scam?
Does that mean the product is a scam and not worth your time? Not necessarily. My personal opinion is Parallel Profits is a decent course, albeit a bit expensive, but does provide plenty of value and insight.
If you follow their steps to the detail I'm sure you can see a profit.
At the same time, my favorite training program has dedicated training to building a Local SEO/SEM business. Plus the core of their training is teaching people how to rank websites organically.
If you can do that, and convince local businesses that you can do it for them. Then you can create your own SEM agency easily. The great thing about this training is I can attest it works. This site you're on right now, Learn To Grow Wealth Online, makes full time income off of free traffic every single day.
Here's one webinar in a 4 week series that you can watch and get enough information to begin any online business, SEM included.
An Alternative:
Although Parallel Profits is not a scam and I believe it's a decent course, it's not something I totally recommend.
The reason for this is because the course is not really passive income. You have to continuously search for clients and use their lead-gen system to bring in more sales. My ultimate goal is to have a website that brings in money completely on auto-pilot, with little or no maintenance required.
Creating something like that is easier said than done, but there is a course that teaches you how to do it. The course I'm talking about is Wealthy Affiliate and you can click the link below to check it out.
Their Starter membership is free, and Premium is only a fraction of what Parallel Profits charges. You can cancel and get a refund at anytime too. Check it out.
