Is Survey Compare a scam? Or can you really earn up to $5 for each survey?
In this Survey Compare review you'll learn all about the platform, how it works, how they pay members, the earning potential, and more.
Let's jump in.
Survey Compare Review Summary:
Rating: 10/100
Pros: The website has some tutorials and articles.
The Cons: It's not an actual company. They only link you to other survey sites, instead of delivering their own. You don't make money with them. They don't pay. There's no dashboard, and they send you far too many promotional offers.
The Bottom Line:
Not a company I recommend. Think of it like an article that lists the top survey sites, but you have to register to read that article. Not a useful platform at all.

What is Survey Compare all About?
Survey Compare is about delivering trusted surveys to panelists who want to earn a bit of cash completing them.
They offer multiple ways to make a bit of cash, such as: Test Products, Part Time Jobs, Paid Surveys, Market Research, Mystery Shopping, Typing jobs, and more.
In that regard, they're a bit similar to another survey platform, I-Say Ipsos surveys. Another mystery shopping app is Field Agent, which has other tasks too, such as audits, price-checking and whatnot.
In short, Survey Compare does their best to find and share decent income opportunities. The company has been around since 2010 and they do have a decent track record.
On the other hand, Survey Compare only redirects people to offers, it does not pay members, and there's no account dashboard.
It only sends you to other platforms. This creates some problems, which I'll discuss in the cons section of this review.
First Impressions:
My first impressions of Survey Compare were not great. There's a lot of information and transparency on their homepage, revealing almost everything about the platform in on place. They also make it clear you shouldn't expect to earn a full time income, which is true regarding all survey platforms.
On the surface, it looks like an ordinary survey platform where you can sign up to complete surveys and earn cash. However, this is not the case.
Registering with Survey Compare:
Creating an account is easy. They only want your gender, birth date, and email address. On the other hand, you do have to select which survey companies you want to work with, and they require more information. One of those companies is Global Test Market, a survey panal we already reviewed on this site.
Once you choose the companies (I selected all of them) you have to enter your Name, Address, Town/City, and Postal Code. I don't really like sharing that information unless I absolutely have to, but they require it.
Next, an email confirmation will be sent for every panel you selected. As you can imagine, that can be quite a lot of emails. They'll also send you blasts for their surveys and offers, which I had a hard time unsubscribing to. It also didn't help that most of their email links delivered "404 Page Not Found Errors".

One of the many errors.
One other issue I noticed is after you sign-up, there's no sign-in section on the website. I could only find the sign-up form and nowhere to login to my account. How do I start earning when the email links redirect to errors and there's no sign-in form? Strange!
I believe the website is built only for UK residents, so if you don't live there, it struggles to cope. Other people have reported it works fine for them.
To summarize, my first impressions of Survey Compare were not great. I feel like I took the time to fill in my personal details for no reason because I can't even login or access the site via their emails.
How Does Survey Compare Pay?
Although Survey Compare promises PayPal payments and gift cards, they don't handle the payments.
The survey panels you sign-up to at the beginning are the ones that pay members, and they each have different minimum pay-outs and rates. In short, Survey Compare does not pay.
I feel it's a little dishonest to have PayPal and Amazon logos on their site, and they even answer payment questions saying they pay with PayPal, although they don't.
The truth is Survey Compare doesn't pay at all. It links you to sites that do pay.
Survey Compare Pros:
What did we like?
1. Lots of Information on Homepage
There's a FAQ list, links to other resources, links to top survey panels, recent articles, and a lot of other information. They also have a blog on the site, although it's a little inconsistent.

For example, they have articles about making money online, and then there's an article about cooking meals (see screenshot).
It feels kind of random.

The Cons with Survey Compare
What we didn't like.
1. Not Really a Survey Platform
As mentioned earlier, Survey Compare is not actually a survey platform. It only links other platforms, where the surveys exist.
Why sign up to Survey Compare when you can go to those sites directly? Seems like the purpose of Survey Compare is to have all the best survey platforms in one place. You know, so you could compare them.
2. Too Many Promotion Emails
Survey Compare forces you to register with them first, and when you enter your email address they'll bombard you with new promotional offers. The worst part is it signs you up to multiple sites with one click, so you'll be receiving offers from several sites at a time. Not great. I had to mark them as a spam.
3. No Member's Area. No Login.
To expand on the point mentioned earlier, Survey Compare does not have a member's area. In other words, it really doesn't do much for you. There's no way to log in and track earnings or contact support. The only way you're supposed to complete surveys is by waiting for them to email you.
4. They Don't Pay You.
I find it kind of dishonest to have resources on the site saying they pay members, as well as logos to payment processors, when they don't do any of that. It looks like they're taking to features found on other companies and slapping it on their site, making it look like they offer that too. I didn't like that.
Is Survey Compare a Scam?
Since it's free, and it's more like way to link to other survey companies, I wouldn't say it's a scam. On the other hand, I was expecting it to be a real company that has it's own surveys and offers to complete and earn cash, but that's not the case.
If you thought the same, then you would think it's a scam too. To clarify, Survey Compare acts as a middle man to other survey sites. They don't really have any features of their own. If you need a good survey site, I recommend Survey Junkie, feel free to read our Survey Junkie review for more info.
Here's A Much Better Alternative:
Survey Compare is like one of those funnels that pretend to be a standalone product and then redirect people to another, entirely different, offer. I don't like this marketing practice at all, although it's quite common online.
To summarize this Survey Compare review, there's really nothing to gain from using this company. It's just another site that wants your email address to spam you with offers you have no interest in.
Is there an alternative? If you need to make a bit of cash online, I recommend reading my tutorial on how to make easy money online.
