What is Survey Club? Is Survey Club a Scam? Who is Survey Club Research?

One of our readers just asked me these questions to see if these guys are legit.

I’ll do this review of Survey Club and Survey Club Research together because they are basically the same company.

Is Survey Club a scam, legit service, or a good place to make extra money online? Let’s find out.

What is Survey Club/Survey Club Research:

Survey Club Research is a sister company of Survey Club, a company that has been in the online survey industry since 2005.

The supposed goal of Survey Club and Survey Club Research is to help people make extra money online by participating in market research.

They advertise cash for surveys, paid research, and coupons to help you save money.

In order to participate in either program, you must be at least 13 years of age and reside in..

  • United States
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom
  • Australia

Your incentive for taking surveys is to earn cash, free products, points, gift cards, and prizes by simply participating in online surveys.

An image from Survey Club a Scam Review showing their features and coupons.

At first glance, both Survey Club sites look legit.

They’re free to join, professional in appearance, easy to find their contact info, privacy disclosure statements, etc.

What Is Survey Club Really?

What Survey Club and Survey Club Research are is nothing more than of a survey portal.

Now there’s nothing wrong with survey portals, but just so you know, they act as a middle man that puts you in contact with other research companies.

The problem with Survey Club?

They put you in contact with some legit companies, but most are the time you email info is getting sold and you’ll be bombarded with… SPAM, SPAM, SPAM

A screenshot from Survey Club showing there steps and comments on when spam starts.
The Real Process of Working With Survey Club/Survey Club Research

You think you’re getting a bunch of survey offers sent to your mail, but many of them aren’t legitimate.

These affiliate companies and partners of Survey Club will occasionally offer real surveys, but you’ll find that few and far between.

You’ll also find very poor compensation for the amount of time required to take the survey.

What Else?

Most of Survey Club’s partners don’t even appear to be legit research companies at all.

Instead they act as a guise to get your personal information by having you qualify for one of their surveys and then they spam your email with product offers.

Some even require you to give them your credit card in order to take the survey.

Warning: If any survey company requests a credit card in order to work with them, run for the hills.

Many people report taking a survey only to not be compensated and then to have a charge appear on their credit card for something that they have no idea they purchased – That Sucks!

Is Survey Club a Scam?

In my opinion, Survey Club is a scam, and here’s why:

If I’m working with a company that has stated that my personal information will be safe (only to be used to qualify me to take surveys and that in no way will I receive spam by working with Survey Club/ Survey Club Research, their partners or affiliates) and then I get spam email sent to me, then that’s a scam.

Call it bait and switch, a lie, whatever you like.

But it’s deceiving people who are simply looking to make extra money online by taking surveys, and not to be tricked into buying some other product.

Other Negative Info:

You can review Survey Club’s policy at www.surveyclub.com/anti-spam.

Survey Club even states that their affiliate partners and business partners have to comply with the federal CanSpam Act of 2003.

But then when you look into their privacy policy, on the Survey Club Research webpage (www.surveyclubresearch.com/Privacy.aspx), you get completely contradictory information.

The Privacy Section on the Survey Club Research is titled as Clear Voice Surveys Privacy Policy.

Maybe they’re doing business under another company name, seems weird.

Look at the screenshot below.

An image from Survey Club showing their privacy policy refers to them by a different name, Clear Voice Surveys.

Now here’s in section 8 of the Clear Voice/Survey Club Research policy we see a complete clause pardoning them if you get spammed or scammed. Check it out below.

A disclaimer from Survey Club saying they are not responsible for third-party marketing.

Don’t Take My Opinion…

What do past participants say about Survey Club and Survey Club Research? I went online and did a little research using phrases like Survey Club Reviews, Survey Club Complaints/Scams/etc.

And what did I find?

A long list of complaints about survey takers being spammed, some scammed, and most left with disappointment for the little compensation paid for real surveys that were completed.

Here’s a few comments I found in my search.

A negative review for Survey Club.

Do You Still Want To Take Surveys?

If you’re new to my site, you should know that I don’t advocated online tasks like taking surveys, PTC (Pay To Click Sites), or watching videos/commercials, etc.

The reason being is because most of this type of work equates to less than a few dollars/hour.

People get a false buzz that they’re earning money online only to realize that all their clicking and survey taking doesn’t add up to much.

For a legit online task company that also provides paid surveys, I have reviewed and would recommend SurveyJunkie.com. They’ve been around since 2007 and have a good reputation.

What’s Next?

If you really want to make money online, and I mean like full time income, then you should check out the same program that taught me and 1,000’s of other just like you.

All it takes is a strong desire and motivation.

Here’s My Top Recommended Program >>

There are plenty of people who want to make money online, but few realize what it really takes to make it happen.

And unfortunately there is a lot of poor information floating around online.

There are scams out there that deceive people and offer quick cash and little effort to get it. But this does not exist. If you really want to make money online, start with a proper education.

  1. Nice review on Survey Club and Survey Club Research. I often see those get paid surveys offers and I wonder how legit they are. I found few that actually make you pay a fee to get access to more worthy offers. I guess if someone offers you easy money online, think twice before getting involved in such system.

I hate spam! Now I’m smart and have a throw away gmail email for shady offers that I’m curious to check out. Yes, they usually spam you like the world will end tomorrow and they have to get your money NOW. Interesting info on Wealthy Affiliate – I will take a closer look at their offer.

    1. Thanks Magda on your feedback of our Survey Club and Survey Club Research Review. Agreed, spam sucks and so does taking surveys for chump change. You’ve find Wealthy Affiliate a refreshing resource that provides excellent knowledge, support, and guidance to help you create your own online business.

If you’re not afraid to put in the initial work, the reward is a passive income stream that works for you.

Best of luck and if you need more info on Wealthy Affiliate, click here.

      Thanks,

      Todd

  2. Surveys are a way to earn very little money. With a company like Survey Club or Survey Club Research, you’ll get spammed and maybe even suckered into their sales funnel. Good review and stay away from these guys.

    Keep up the good work.

  3. Hi, thank you so much for information, I am mom who doesnt have a job right now and I was hoping to earn some cash online, but now I know it is impossible unless it is real business…..hopefully something will come up.

    1. Hi Anna,

Thanks for your feedback and I can understand you desire to work from home. If you can spend a few months investing in your education and work consistently at something you’re passionate about, you can create a great online business.

I think stay at home Moms have an amazing opportunity to earn online if they have some cool niche ideas. It takes some initial work and the willingness to learn, but you can start generating online sales within a couple of months. Then as you grow your online business, it starts to have a snowball effect. It builds and builds and eventually works for you on a daily basis.

Now that I’ve got my business well established, I make money everyday. Sometimes it’s only $65 to $100/day, other days it’s over $650. It’s awesome and only takes what any other business takes: hard work, willingness to learn, take action on what you learn, and repeat.

If this is you, check out my #1 Training program, they’re free to check out and the monthly cost is practically nothing for what you get.

You can check out what they’ve done for me right here.

      Best,
      Todd

  4. I would like to thank you for all your reviews. I also signed up last week to your recommendation Wealthy Affiliate.

I was so impressed with the training, structure, and help from the WA program. It’s truly inspiring what WA does for people.

I also wanted to thank you for helping me avoid Survey Club and Survey Club Research. I had my suspicions about these companies. Luckily I found your review of them otherwise I wouldn’t have ever found Wealthy Affiliate.

    Thanks a million
    Jan

    1. Hi Jan,

That’s awesome to hear about the feedback of Wealthy Affiliate and the positive influence of this Survey Club/Research review.

You’ll love Wealthy Affiliate the more and more you learn about them. I’m constantly impressed in all the upgrades they’ve made just in the 2 years that I’ve been with them. I always have a place to keep learning, networking, and getting professional feedback and help from the pros there.

Thanks for coming back and leaving your feedback.
      Todd

  5. I have tried a lot of online survey sites in the past, but with very little success and money from the hard work I invested.

The survey club had always come across as a shady program to me, and I really do hate the idea of SPAM because it’s no way to build a business online.

I guess the people who create these kinds of scams are only online to make a quick and easy buck from exploiting people.

Thank You for the review on survey club, and I will certainly stay away from this scam!

    Neil

    1. Thanks Neil for your feedback on our review of survey club and survey club research. And thanks for your feedback and testimony about taking surveys as well as the worthlessness of such endeavors.

      Cheers,

      Todd

  6. Thanks for the review of Survey Club Research. I love your line about this being a bait and switch. That is exactly how I feel about these programs. They tell you that you can earn money for signing up for surveys and then when you do take the survey, you don’t get anything unless you buy the “sponsors” package.

So you have to spend money to make money? It’s just so bogus. Now if you spend some money to get educated, like at Wealthy Affiliate, that’s different.

You should be getting something good in return and not a product you don’t really need and certainly not an email inbox full of spam. These are worthless. Couldn’t agree more.

    1. Hi Jessica,

That’s exactly right. Wealthy Affiliate provides a plethera of education. I’ve been with them for almost 2 years and I still have Webinars and training’s to go through.

It’s completely different going to an educational training center like Wealthy Affiliate versus wasting your time with bogus buy in’s to survey portals like Survey Club.

If you want to work online, you can get started training right here.

      Cheers,

      Todd

  7. Hello Todd, thanks for providing information about Survey Club Research.

I think that it does not a matter of how legit these survey companies are, they are just a waste of time. Spending time and energy to earn very few dollars, is a complete nonsense.

Of course, to these who do not have experience on how these surveys work, it can appeal as source to earn money.

Your survey club review perfectly shows that everybody who want to learn how to earn money online in a legitimate and efficient way, must stay away from these companies.

I do not like that they use your email address in whatever way they want. Our inbox will be flooded with questionable offers and surveys, which take valuable time, but do not pay substancial money. To earn $1 for 15 minutes completing a survey, is a complete nonsense.

Thanks for making this review on Survey Club, because after reading it, people who are looking for real, transparent and legit company, who teaches people how to create real online businesses that earn a substantial income will find Wealthy Affiliate.

    All the best, Nemira.

    1. Thanks Nemira, you are exactly right. At least for those that want to make real money online, can learn about Wealthy Affiliate.

When people enter Wealthy Affiliate they are so impressed that there is a company that provides a structured education that teaches you step by step how to create a successful online business.

Plus, WA has been helping online entrepreneurs for over a decade learn how to becomes successful online.

      Thanks,
      Todd

  8. Great review on survey club, the information provided in your review is really helpful.

I’m glad you revealed survey club and survey club research as a scam. There are so many places that just take your money or rob you of your time and you really get nothing in return. I’m glad you are exposing these types of people.

    Thanks again for the information.

    1. You bet Dylan, and thanks for your feedback on Survey Club and Survey Club Research. Either one is pretty much the same company and not recommended as a good source to make money online.

      Cheers,
      Todd

  9. Thanks so much for the heads-up. There are legitimate survey sites out there (I am a member of one), but I have also been spammed mercilessly following an impulse survey.

I agree – you really need to be careful before providing your personal details, so far better to do your homework and go with a trusted program. Thanks to you, I certainly will not be looking at Survey Club or Survey Club Research for more survey taking opportunities!

    1. You bet Carol, happy to help. In general, for those that want to make money online, I would encourage people to look at putting up a real online business over wasting time with surveys.

I know there are legit survey companies out there, but even with them, the earning potential is less than a couple dollars per hour.

Thanks for your feedback on Survey Club/Survey Club Research.

  10. I was checking into using survey club research and for confirming my original thoughts that survey’s are a waste of time.

I agree with you that the right way to start making money online is by educating ourselves. I have always been wondering how to take advantage of the online world which seems to offer endless opportunities.

There are so many people surfing the net everyday looking to make a buck online, and some of the are spending money on really poor training products.

Thank you your survey club research review and I will have a look at your #1 recommendation. Based on the chart, Wealthy Affiliate seems to offer a lot of great ways to make money online.

    1. Your welcome Juan. Yeah, forget the surveys. If you want to make a little extra money online, Fiverr offers some good micro gigs to check out.

But if you want to create a simple website to make money online, Wealthy Affiliate offers easy to follow classes to help you get the job done.

Thanks for your feedback on Survey Club Research as well.

      Best,

      Todd

  11. Survey Club and Survey Research are horrible companies, I signed up with them and get nothing but spam in my email. Is this what you call affiliate marketing?

    Sally

    1. Hi Sally,

Sorry to hear about your problems with Survey Club/Survey Club Research. This is a bad form of affiliate marketing where they are giving your email to their affiliates who are then spaming you.

To read about good affiliate marketing businesses, check out these posts below. Affiliate marketing is very cool and ethical if used correctly.

  12. Hi Todd,

Thanks for this review highlighting another survey scam. Already I was not a fan of survey sites, but this lot seem to be one of the worst. As far as I can see from your review: you take surveys and don’t get paid, you are spammed to buy different products and your credit card might be charged for something you didn’t know you had bought.

As you point out if you want to spend your time completing surveys, try the well known sites that are legit. However, there are better ways of spending your time.

Your comparison chart shows one of the best opportunities available, Wealthy Affiliate. Rather than spending a few hours a week filling out surveys for a few cents, try building your own business, it’s fun and the potential gains are much greater.

    All the best,
    Peter

    1. Hi Peter,

Boy have you got it figured out. I too am not a friend of menial tasks that waste time. Especially with Survey Club Research, what a risk to even join them.

It’s baffling why more people don’t pursue some kind of hobby or passion that they can turn into a niche website, especially if your goal is to work or make extra money online.

Thanks for your feedback as always Peter and hope you have a great week.
      Todd

  13. I tried Survey Club and Survey Club Research for a couple of weeks and man do I wish I had done a little research and read this review.

My survey offers usually lead to the research company somehow needing my credit card number and my email get’s spammed almost 100 times an hour. About 90% of these spam emails are offers to sell me something.

A complete waste of time, thanks for the review.

    1. You bet Sal, both Survey Club and Survey Club Research are basically an elaborate lead pages to capture your email, then it’s spam city for your personal email.

As advised in this review, if you are going to do surveys and other online tasks, use a dummy email. Better advise, stop doing meaningless tasks that don’t add up to minimum wage and build your own online business.

      Best of luck,
      Todd

  14. I’ve worked with Survey Club and Survey Research and gosh do I wish I wouldn’t have done this. My email get spammed constantly and I’m going to have to delete my account.

The Survey Club/Research websites are such a misrepresentation as to what you can actually earn online. A waste of time.

However, one good thing came of this. I tried your number one make money online educational program, Wealthy Affiliate, using their free starter membership.

I was so impressed with the classes that I have taken so far, the community support, and even the help from the owners that I decided to join the Premium Membership.

I wanted to thank you for your site and honesty, I’m already on track to getting my site built and I am loving everything that I’m learning.

Thanks for the recommendation and I wish you the best in life.
    Shannon

    1. Hi Shannon,
You are quite welcome. I’m glad you’ve seen the light – so to speak. Just keep taking the daily classes and following through with the tasks and you’ll start to see results as you continue to build out your site.

This is what I did, and I’m really happy at what I’ve created, learned, and what I now earn.

Send me a PM in WA with your site, I’d love to check it out. Remember, don’t jump around, stick to the structured program and watch a weekly Webinar.

      Best of luck,
      Todd
