The CB Cash Code Review: Legitimate Course or Scam?

July 5, 2019 by Todd

cb cash code review

Have you heard about CB Cash Code and looking for more information? In this CB Cash Code review we'll go over what's inside the course, and whether it's worth your cash and time.

CB Cash Code Review Summary:

Rating: 40/100

Pros: No need for a website, 60 day refund window.

The Cons: Depends on ads, not much value. Very small course.

Price: $37

The Bottom Line: Inside CB Cash Code you'll get 4 short eBooks that cover the basics of affiliate marketing and creating ads. Overall, a very short course that I don't recommend. I feel like there should be more value inside.

If you're looking to make money online, I've found it takes proper training, ongoing support and helps to have all the tools in one place. For that, take a peak at my recommended training course below, or continue with this CB Cash Code review.

What is CB Cash Code?

Logo of cb cash code with bold title the clickbank cash code

CB Cash Code (or ClickBank Cash Code) is a small course that teaches people how to make money promoting ClickBank products as an affiliate.

Not to be confused with CB Passive Income.

Their sales page says you can expect to earn $8,122 a day from ClickBank. As you might suspect, that's nowhere near the truth.

Before we take a look inside, after digging around online, I couldn't find the person responsible for this product. There's no name attached to it. When the owner prefers to keep his identity secret, you can bet the quality isn't the best.

Another point to keep in mind is the product used to be hosted on Clickbank, but now it's on ClickBetter, a similar platform for product creators and affiliates.

The problem with ClickBetter is it seems to accept any and all products with no vetting so you can rest assured there are a lot of scams on there.

Let's take a look inside and see what CB Cash Code is really about.

What is Inside CB Cash Code:

After watching the sales video, you're probably expecting to gain access to a full-scale course. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

CB Cash Code is a collection of short eBooks.

The Books:

  1. Introduction
  2. The CB Cash Code Main Guide - 41 pages
  3. ClickBank Cash Pro - 41 pages
  4. Book Plus - 19 pages
  5. ClickBank Cash Code Secret Method - 15 pages

Let's take a closer look at the main guide.

Is CB Cash Code a Scam?

A lot people have been asking me if the CB Cash Code is a scam, and my answer is CB Cash Code is not a scam. They do offer a product, and it has some value, but it's not the absolute best quality training out there.

It's also a collection of eBooks, no media at all, so that might be a deal breaker for some. According to ClickBetter, you can request a refund within 60 days.

The CB Cash Code Main Guide:

The CB Cash Code Main Guide is a 41 page eBook that introduces readers the concept of making money as an affiliate marketer.

Review of first 4 chapters for the cb cash code main guide

The first few chapters cover the basics of affiliate marketing and how to setup a ClickBank account. Next, it goes on to explain how to read the numbers and affiliate metrics (initial sales, commissions, gravity, etc.) and set up a payment method. Then there are a few chapters dedicated to finding the perfect product to promote.

At the way end of the book, there are some traffic strategies. They divide the strategies into two categories: outbound and inbound marketing. Outbound marketing is actively searching for leads.

Meanwhile, inbound is the standard marketing method - creating systems that send leads to you - via search engines and what not.

Oddly enough, the section on traffic strategies is very short, and they recommend some broad strategies like email marketing and search engines.

No specific tips or steps given.

If you do need help building free traffic to ANY online business, check out my free targeted traffic eBook. This is my exact blueprint to build free, targeted, traffic that's ready to buy.

Moving on the next book...

The CB Cash Code PRO

This 41-page book (Part 2) builds on what we learned in the previous one, with more advice on generating traffic.

Part 2 of the cb cash code review detailing traffic and advertising topics

Once again, the book introduces the basics of certain concepts, such as the various types of ads (Pay Per View, Display Adverting, and Email Marketing) as well as some methods to avoid.

The book's recommended approach is to buy ads with Bing or Yahoo because those companies are cheaper than Google and Facebook. The idea is interesting to say the least, and there's a chance it could work. I found it a bit similar to the strategies recommended in The Super Affiliate System.

Then they walk you through how to create an account with Bing and start your first ad campaign, designing the advertisement and what not.

Chapter 4 is about finding the right keywords. They walk you through how to use Google's Keyword Planner Tool to come up with some potential keywords. The point here is not to write articles about the keywords, but to add them to your Bing ad-campaign.

The rest of the book shows you how to make a squeeze page and setup a email marketing series. All in all, the material isn't bad.

I'll mention my concerns in the cons section below.

CB Cash Code Pros:

Here's what we liked.

1. No Need for a Website:

CB Cash Code shows you how to send people directly to your affiliate links through ad-campaigns. There's no need for a website. This might be good news for people who are less technically inclined.

2. 60 Day Money Back:

As mentioned earlier, ClickBetter does offer a 60-day money back guarantee window, so it's easy to get a refund.

3. Interesting Take on Ads:

The concept of using ads from Yahoo or Bing to send people directly to an affiliate link is cool, but I don't think it will work based on my past experience. It's definitely cheaper to advertise on Bing over Google Adwords and so the idea is worth looking into. The strategy is similar to what Commission Hero teaches.

In general I've found that the most success with pay per click advertising is in getting people to sign up/opt-in to your email marketing system. This is typically done in exchange for a freebie of some sort.

I never found that the direct sales approach of sending someone directly to an affiliate sales page via PPC advertising worked. You get some sales, but the advertising costs are typically greater than the total sales. At least in my experience.

The Cons with CB Cash Code:

What could be improved:

1. Very Short, for The Price:

For $37 you'll get a few eBooks, most of which don't have much value. The first two are 41-pages, meanwhile the others are less than 15 pages. That's quite short for an eBook.

I skimmed through all of the books in just 30 minutes or so. In other words, it's a very short course, and I feel like there should be something more inside, at least some training videos.

2. Ads are Expensive:

Although they do recommend Bing and Yahoo for ads because they're cheaper than Google, those companies are expensive too. What they don't tell you is you have to keep paying for the ads in order to get traffic and produce sales, otherwise there's no other source of traffic (i.e. YouTube videos, organic rankings in search engines, social medial sharing).

It's not unusual for people to forget they have ads running and end up with a massive bill to deal with. The bottom line is ads are expensive, so make sure you have the budget to work with.

3. Very Little Specific Advice:

The only specific advice inside the books is about how to create profiles with ClickBank and Bing - that's it. It provides a general overview of some concepts, but it leaves the rest to you.

For example, it recommends creating a squeeze page with an email series, but it doesn't show you how to do any of that.

I got the impression the eBooks were quickly written and packaged because the information inside is quite basic and vague.

The Bottom Line:

Overall, I don't recommend CB Cash Code. It's not a scam, but I feel like it lacks value and would leave me frustrated if I was a new marketer. If they included some videos or more specific information, it would be a decent course.

I doubt they will, as this feels like one of those quickly made products for some fast cash. We don't even know who the owner is, but I bet they have a lot of similar products under their belt like CB Cash Code.

I am an avid believer that you can never have too much training and the sad thing for me with products like this (I did some research myself before commenting) is that there is just so much poor quality stuff out there or at the very least, so much out there that just doesn’t provide the value.  Most of them are built on sound theories but just seem to put just enough out there to try and make some money.

I will always promote good quality training products but when there is so much out there for free, I agree with you that it is really hard to justify the $37 outlay for something like this; The thing is I guess that there is money to be made with these types of products it is just a shame that people have to pay for them to start with before they realize there is better out there.  Thanks for the post – I will continue my searching…

Great feedback Paul and thanks for commenting on my CB Cash Code review. I agree with you it’s tough to promote a product like this or even wanted to take something like this knowing that it’s incomplete and will leave you needing to pay for more training.

That’s why after years of looking at online training products and programs I strongly encourage people to check out wealthy affiliate at the minimum. They’ve been around for over 14 years and who helped thousands of people create legitimate online businesses and really provide a lot of value.

Thanks again have a nice day,
      Todd

Hello, I  hear a little bit about ClickBank but didn’t know anything about CB Cash Code  ( looks like ClickBanks’ full name)   or CashBetter.  Your post saves me time ( who wants to waste time and money?) also, discovered that CB Cash Code has only two stars and no owner. Why is the owner hiding? In my opinion, if the owner hides, the quality of the product isn’t right.

Thank you for your advice and excellent review.

Isn’t that interesting!  I have actually heard of this and heard people rave about it.  Thank you very much for giving a clear, concise review of what is actually involved and the pitfalls therein.  I surely would never spend money on such poor quality training and then spend further money continually on ads.  What an extremely poor set up.

I did find the constant WA advertising to be rather pushy and in-your-face but over all this review is excellently written and lets the reader know exactly what is offered – which turns out to be not much at all.

I completely agree that with a few google searches, all of the material in the no-name authored e-books could be easily found.  With no step-by-step tutorials, this platform has very little value.

Thank you for the warning and the honest appraisal!

You bet Feochadan and thank for your honest feedback on the CB Cash Code review. Sorry, not trying to over-push WA or anyone, but I do want to make it clear to those that are looking for help starting an affiliate marketing business online or any online business for that matter should start with WA.

      Thanks

Great article Todd.  It just goes to show that not all businesses are scams.  In today’s world of nay-sayers, it seems like we all get caught up sometimes in the negativity that we are exposed to everyday.  At least CB Cash Code offers something in return for their asking price.  It might be a good introduction for those with absoutely no experience, but I agree it is not the best option out there.  Not by a long shot.  You are definitely on point with Wealthy Affiliate.  Best option available.

Right on Mike. WA is a straight shot with all the tools, training and support you need in one place. I just get frustrated with training that’s second best or lacking. The focus should be on the student. We’ve all been a student in some way or another so we know we want the best training and value for the most economical price tag.

      Cheers

I think this type of program is for newbies only as experienced marketers like can just type in Google to search for information that will teach us the ins and outs of making money with Clickbank or any other affiliate network. Why would I pay $37 for ebooks when I can get the same information searching online for free?

Then, another thing… If they are advising their students to use paid ads, that’s a potential money pit! I’ve been through programs that don’t require their students to create a website or blog but instead to just use paid ads. It was horrible for me, I lot a substantial amount of money paying for solo ads!

Amen Gomer and well stated. You’re not the only one. Most new marketers that are taught to get direct sales from linking the ad to the affiliate’s landing page is a way to make quick sales. Sure you can make a few, but in most every case I’ve seen, that hasn’t worked out that way.

The best way is to use PPC to get someone to optin to your email marketing system and then establish a relationship via your emails, later adding in your affiliate offers.

Thanks for the feedback and good advise!

I too would get frustrated if I had to go through multiple eBooks with no help if I ever get lost.

Wealthy Affiliate, on the other hand, provides training with video tutorials. The free traffic here is great with a give and take. If you put something in, you will get something out.

Thank you for this wonderful review of warning people of cb cash code and helping them find their way to a better program.

    All the best.

All the best to you too Aabidah and thanks for your honest take on WA. You are 100% correct. WA is the real deal, but it’s what you make out of their training that counts.

The nice thing is that for those out there that are sincere about building an online business have a home to go to finally. It’s Wealthy Affiliate and it’s the real deal.

      Thanks

Hi Todd, thank you for taking time to share this review of the CB Cash Code.   You saved me time, money and some disappointment.   Although I read your review to the end, I appreciated the summary you had at the beginning.   I found myself wanting to know why you gave the CB Cash Code course only two stars.

I must agree with you, I do not trust a course or an ebook if it does not tell us who wrote the book.   When I don’t know that, I wonder if I can find the same information on wikipedia or a dozen other people’s websites as a free book.

When we don’t know who wrote the book, how are we supposed to know if they are even credible?     Based on your review, I think I’ll pass on this one.

Thanks Sondra and I think that’s a pretty good rule. Who’s not going to put their name on an info product and expect people to buy it.

You surely will help out many people from throwing away their good money! Thanks for the education and giving people advice.
