BentoFox Review Summary:
Rating: 20/100
Pros: Lots of offers.
The Cons: No cash payments, only gift-cards. Only in U.S, no other countries. Takes a long time to redeem gift cards.
The Bottom Line:
BentoFox is a relatively new platform, but it's not something we recommend. Although they do have lots of offers, their support is quite slow, and it takes ages to receive gift cards. Overall, not something I recommend, at this time.

What is BentoFox?

BentoFox is a free platform where users complete offers and other tasks to earn gift cards. There are wide range of gift cards available, such as Google Play, Amazon, Steam, WalMart, and many others.
Here's the thing:
If you're looking to earn extra money online, I'll cut to the chase. BentoFox doesn't offer cash payouts, at least, not at the moment. The rewards they offer are limited to gift cards only - no PayPal cash or other cash-out methods.
On the other hand, they do offer virtual Visa cards, which are kind of like gift cards, except they can be used anywhere Visa is accepted.
So if you're in dire need of some quick cash, BentoFox is probably not the right platform for you.
Don't let that discourage you, there are still plenty of ways to earn money online.
Earning Gift Cards:
Now that you know BentoFox only offers gift cards, you're probably wondering what it takes to earn them.
Currently, there are four categories to choose from:
- Watch Hideout.tv Videos
- Complete Market Research Surveys
- Watch Smores.tv Vides
- Complete Other Offers
Before we get into the details, there are a couple of things we need to make clear. For starters, BentoFox is owned by Adscendmedia, an ad and market research website.
As you might have guessed, Hideout.tv and Smores.tv are also owned by the same company. In other words, it's a rather large network. Having said that, earning with BentoFox is straightforward.
The platform uses a point-system that you're probably already familiar with. Users can redeem the points in the redeem section for gift cards.
When compared to the gift card value, one point is equal to one cent. For example, a $10 gift card from Amazon will cost 1,000 points, $25 is 2,500, and whatnot.
Watching Videos:

The most popular way to earn is watching videos on Hideout.tv. Even though Hideout.tv and BentoFox belong to the same company, they label each other as partners, and act as individual platforms.
Note: This also applies to Smores.Tv.
Points are earned by selecting video categories and then clicking the start button. From there, the platform will find videos that match your interests, and you earn points based on your total watch-time. Usually, it's around 0.8 points per video.
Market Research Surveys:

Generally, users can earn more points by taking surveys with BentoFox. The way market research surveys work is simple. Companies need consumer feedback, so they pay a little bit to get the information they need.
BentoFox's surveys aren't particularly special. If you're familiar with survey platforms, then you can probably already guess how this one works. You're required to fill out an initial profile questionnaire (Gender, birthdate, etc) and then you can access the main offer wall.
Keep in mind, BentoFox is not available in every country at the moment. In fact, it seems to be limited to United States only, and they strongly discourage using VPN's to bypass the restriction.
The value of each survey varies, the range is usually from 20 to 150 points. When compared to the value mentioned earlier, that's usually $0.20 to $1.5 dollars.
BentoFox Offers:
In the offers section you can find more ways to earn some points. These are the usual offers you are probably used to seeing such as: download an app, sign-up to a free trial, take a survey, play a game, find shopping deals, and whatnot.
The section is divided into several categories:
- Featured
- Free
- Mobile Apps
- Surveys
- Shopping
- Free Trials
- Sign-up
- Others
At least there are a lot of offers to look through. The mobile apps usually offer more, around 700 or so, and the smaller, free, tasks usually pay between 10-20 points.
Now that you have a general idea of what is BentoFox and how you can earn with them, let's move on to the pros and cons.
BentoFox Pros:
1. Lots to Do!
As you can see, there are lots of ways to earn points with Bentofox. It's not limited to only one kind of offer. It's great for people that get bored of the same tedious surveys and tasks.
2. Video Watching is Easy:
And it's not the same repetitive ads over and over. Hideout.tv is kind of like their version of YouTube.
Users can watch various channels, select interests, and browse through all kinds of videos, while earning points.
The pay isn't so great, but you don't really have to do anything besides leave the window and sound on.
The Cons with BentoFox:
1. No Cash Payments:
At the moment, the only way to cash out is via gift cards. Granted, there are plenty of gift cards to choose from, and most of them can be used towards purchases you might need.
In my opinion, the fact that they don't offer cash is a major downside. When you consider the amount of time and hoops you have to jump through to earn the points, it doesn't seem worth it.
2. Redeeming Gift Card Delays:
After a bit of research, it looks like some users are struggling to receive the gift cards they requested. It seems like BentoFox doesn't instantly transfer gift cards, instead, it takes a long time for them to process the request.
The amount of time seems to vary but one user said he waited more than 60 days to receive a $10 gift card. Not fun.
Note: Their Facebook fan page, while relatively new, already has 5 negative reviews, bringing their total rating to 1.8 out of 5.
3. Unreliable Payouts:
Another thing that bothered me is it takes a long time to receive rewards from BentoFox. I would give them the benefit of the doubt if they offered cash. Gift cards shouldn't take months to acquire.
But it seems like BentoFox takes a long time to process gift card requests. It can take anywhere between 2 to 10 weeks.
Is BentoFox a Scam?
BentoFox is new to the scene, and they're still working on smoothing out the edges. I wouldn't say BentoFox is a scam.
But I don't recommend it at this time, mainly because they don't offer cash, and their reward-redeeming process takes a very long time.
Overall, though, Bentofox is not a scam. Eventually, the requests are processed, and you can find quite a lot of payment proof online.
What We Recommend:
Now that you have an idea what is BentoFox, you're probably wondering what method we recommend for making money online.
P.S. Take a look at our full list of recommended products!
You'll never get rich taking surveys, although you can make some money on the side. You also won't get rich watching videos and clicking on ads. But you can get rich if you learn to make a business.
Look, starting an online business is a challenge. Doing it alone is possible, but it will take a lot longer. The best way to start is to follow a proven system, a training course designed for maximum success.
One of the easiest online businesses that you can start, and that can deliver great results, is creating a niche website. Create a website, write articles for traffic, and then monetize those posts with affiliate links or other methods.
It doesn't sound that hard, right? Lots of people have done it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this Bentofox review. Leave a comment if you have any questions or concerns. Until next time.
I’m glad I found this article to save me the time and effort of discovering BentoFox and learning that it is just as unappealing as many others that I’ve used. A few times when I needed some quick cash I attempted using a couple other websites that were similar but had little success and a big amount of time spent.
To top it off, getting paid in only gift cards that take a long time to redeem will upset a lot of people who are new to the site. The amazing one star sounds like a very accurate rating in my opinion.
Hi Tim,
Thanks for the feedback on our BentoFox review, glad it helped. If you need to make fast cash online, selling physical items or services pays pretty quick and better than most task and survey sites.

Awww, this is rather pitiable that the BentoFox platform is not a good one at all. I feel really bad because I was already thinking that we can make something good off it. I guess it will also be one of those offer, tasks or survey platforms where one doesn’t get to make so much and they are not even paid in cash. I am happy I decided to read a review before going ahead to join in. Thanks
Awesome John, glad we could save you some time. Time and money are important, especially if you’re looking to make money online. If you need help getting started online, feel free to go through my Free Internet Marketing Training Course. The price is right š
Sounds like this service might work if you’re in the US, with lots of time on your hands and you don’t need cash, or even gift cards in a hurry. I tried to sign up for a review site a number of years ago and it was horrible. They wanted me to download gaming soft ware and try it out on my computer. I am now on the platform that you recommend and I can attest that it offers excellent training and resources as well as an engaging, supportive community of other like-minded people. Very little that is worthwhile comes about without putting some effort in terms of learning. I suppose that is why these review sites are somewhat popular. They offer an opportunity for people who don’t want to grow.
Right on Deb, good to hear you’re on the right path. There’s nothing better than spending the time to create something of value that repeatedly rewards you.
And that’s what my online business has done for me. Coolest thing in the world. Create work once that pays you time and time again.
Thanks for your feedback on what is Bentofox, much appreciated.
Hello Todd, Thank you for this very informative review of BentoFox. Recently, I’m reading everything about that but I’m still don’t know it works or not. The platform sounds like a great place. You know, everyone wants to make money easily.
Luckily, I realize the truth after reading your article. You review that is very detail and describe it with different pictures that show something inside clearly. What you write really saves me time and saves me money. Thank you so much.
By the way, do you have any suggestions that can earn me legitimately online? I really want to earn money at home because I want to travel and earn money at the same time.
Awesome CT, glad our Bentofox review could be of help. The best two methods in my mind are affiliate marketing or eCommerce by selling on Amazon. I linked my recommended training’s so you can compare the models should you need help.
Thanks
Hello Todd. Thank you for some very good information on this platform. I guess it is true that bentofox is new to the game because it is the first time that I am hearing about them. Unfortunately though, I wouldn’t be joining in because I wouldn’t want to work online only to get gift cards. Those are not going to put food on the table and especially the payment is not reliable. I would rather go for something that I can trust and that is exactly what I am going to do. Thank you for the information.
Awesome Henderson, glad the review could help. Bentofox and similar companies are a nice way to get started with making a bit of pocket change online. Hopefully that inspires some to take the next step to creating an online business. Which is the next logical choice.
Thanks
I knew that BentoFox was fairly new so I decided to check it out. Like you, I found some negative reviews but was wanting to dig a little more, since I know that people will leave reviews mostly when they go through a negative experience. It’s great to see that you’ve at least outlined some good things about the website.
But on second thought, I don’t think it is worth it. I will not be signing up for it, seeing as the earning potential is quite low, like so many of the other survey websites that I have already tried out. What other websites can I use to earn just a little bit more? I would appreciate your help. Thanks.
You bet Reyhana, you can try Survey Junkie. They’ve been a reliable source for many folks looking for some quick cash for task/surveys.
Best,
Todd
