What is Cash Back Research?
Cash Back Research is mainly a survey website, where members can take surveys for cash.
There are other tasks you can complete too, and it does have an affiliate program which we’ll talk about later on.
But the bulk of your income will come from completing surveys.
On the surface, it looks much like any other survey platform.
Cash Back Research Earning Potential:
Let’s start with the basics. When you first create an account you’ll earn a bonus five dollars.
Then you can earn five cents every time you login for a certain period of time.
So right off the bat you have a little head start towards the pay out, which is nice.
From now on you have to complete surveys. The more surveys you complete, the more you’ll qualify for later on.
What makes Cash Back Research a little different than the other survey sites, is they only show surveys that you’re qualified for.
Which means if you take a bunch of surveys you can qualify for more, and usually the higher paying ones require more qualifications.
In other words you have to keep taking surveys to unlock more.
This also means – more often than not – there aren’t many surveys for you when you’re just getting started.
When compared to other survey websites, Cash Back Research compensation is on the higher-end.
Most surveys go for $0.15 – $0.30 – but there are other higher paying tasks too.
For example, signing up to other companies on a trial basis. This type of marketing is called Pay Per Lead or Cost Per Action.
Previously I wrote an article about the best Pay Per Lead affiliate program, click here to read it.
For instance, sometimes you’ll see offers that request you to create an account on another company, for a compensation.
Sometimes these deals can be decent. I saw some that pay $5-8 for each new registration.
Granted, creating an account with another website can take quite awhile, sometimes over 30 minutes. And there’s always the chance the account won’t register with Cash Back Research and you won’t receive the cash.
The minimum pay out is $30 payable by PayPal or gift cards.
Cash Back Research’s Affiliate Program:
If you already have a website you can choose to promote Cash Back Research as an affiliate to earn some extra income.
The Cash Back Research affiliate program is based on completing actions, not sales.
People sign on for free, but when they complete a survey or other task you receive a small compensation.
On average, the cost per action is around $1.45 which is not too bad.
The payment can be low or high depending on the type of offer your referral completes.

Cash Back Research Downsides:
I noticed you have to fill in a lot of personal details to qualify for certain surveys.
I’m sure you don’t like handing your personal contact details like phone number and email address out to random companies.
Besides that you also need to enter your gender, age, income, educational level, buying habits, and a ton of other details.
In a way it makes it easier for the company to find surveys relevant to you.
But sending all your personal information to companies you don’t know is a bit scary.
One more thing I noticed is it can take up to 30 days to receive your first pay out.
For cash, the process time is around 2 weeks, but for gift cards, it’s four weeks.
Waiting 2 weeks to receive a few dollars? I would rather do something else.
The more important issue, that many other Cash Back Research reviews mention, is in regards to actions not registering on the site.
For example you might finish a super long survey that takes an hour or so to complete, and Cash Back Research never registers the payment.
Of course, when it comes to complete surveys, remember that you’ll have to sign up to a lot of programs with your email.
This means your email inbox will likely be spammed on a regular basis.
Keep that in mind.
What We Liked:
I like how Cash Back Research is relatively straight forward with their website description.
They make it clear taking surveys is not a way to get rich, which is true.
Unlike this scam Bitcoin Millionaire Club that promises you can earn $13.000 in 24 hours!
So they’re honest, and that’s always a plus.
I also like how the payment for surveys is not too bad, at least you can earn a few dollars for each one.
It’s not an amazing opportunity by all means, but it’s in the medium to high payment category.
Another positive point is their customer support seems to be quite active and they’ll try to fix payment issues as soon as possible.
But it can take awhile for them to reply to your support ticket.
I also liked how you receive some cash bonus right off the bat.
Conclusion:
To summarize what is Cash Back Research this is it…
Cash Back Research is one of the better survey websites, but it still has quite a few flaws.
You can make okay pocket money with them but you’ll have to sign up to a lot of other websites too.
It’s quite similar to GG2U.org because they have similar tasks.
And the payments can take up to a month to process.
But when it’s all said and done, I admit the platform works, and it’s definitely not a scam.
Is it the absolutely best survey site, ever? Not to me.
In my opinion, Survey Junkie is much better, read our review here.
