Wondering what is eCom Success Academy? Need to know more about the product and if it will really teach you how to build an online eCommerce business?
Continue reading this eCom Success Academy review to learn the truth!
Today, I decided to take a look at this product and see if its worth the hype.
What is eCom Success Academy?
eCom Success Academy (or ESA) is a course by Adrian Morrison, a social media marketing expert, entrepreneur, and talk-show host.
The product is an all-in-one course that teaches you how to build an online e-commerce business without having to spend upfront cash.
When it comes to building an e-commerce business, most people are worried that they’ll need to spend thousands of dollars on inventory and storage.
That doesn’t have to be the case!
Immediately, I like how Adrian attaches his real name to this product.
He is not using a persona and you can actually find evidence of what his claims are online.
Note: This product focuses on e-commerce business, not affiliate marketing via niche websites. It is a different business model.
Besides the unique course, there’s also a lot of other guides and tips within the member’s area.
Basically, it is like a college-level education for online business.
I have to admit, there is a lot of material packed into this course; it will take a long time to go through it all.

The Idea Behind eCom Success Academy:
The point of eCom Success Academy is simple; build an eCommerce business with as little startup cost as possible.
It teaches how to…
- Pick a Product
- Locate a Supplier
- Find a Platform to Sell the Product
- Minimize Investment Costs
- Send Traffic to Your Platform
- Outsource Tasks for Maximum Efficiency
Adrian Morrison claims to be earning over $20,000 a day with this method alone!
Sound a little fishy?
I doubt anyone will come close to this amount, even if they do have millions of dollars to invest.
But on paper, the idea seems decent.
Most successful e-commerce businesses are built on the same foundation.
We talked about starting an eCommerce businesses before on this website, and it is possible to earn huge income from an e-commerce business.
But there are also a lot of rules and regulations you need to know about.
What I Like about eCom Success Academy:
I already mentioned one point I liked about this course, the fact Adrian Morrison is a real person.
When people ask, “What is eCommerce Success Academy” it is easy to find information about the creator.
He even has a website in his name (something rare these days) where you can find more information about him, his courses, and his life goals.
Besides that, the training material is excellent and does a good job at walking inexperienced people through the steps of building a eCommerce business.
I also liked how there is a private forum where members can interact with one another and share advice.
The lay-out of the member’s area is also quite nice and neat – easy to find the modules you need.
The main recommended traffic source is Facebook ads, and they’re supposed to work like a charm.
Another thing worth mentioning is this courses is officially endorsed by Shopify: our recommend eCommerce platform.
In short, there are quite a few things I liked about this course.
Overall, its a pretty high-value product and you can tell the creators put a lot of time into designing the website and training material.
On The Other Hand…
There are two downsides I noticed to eCom Success Academy, right off the bat.
One is the price.
For the full membership you need to pay $2940!
And does that mean you won’t have to spend any other funds?
No.
Considering how the recommended source of traffic is Facebook ads, expect to throw a lot more cash into this system.
Facebook ads can be expensive.
And as I noticed, their effectiveness drops on a daily basis.
It seems like ads are getting more expensive while the quality of clicks is getting lower!
You’ll also need at least a basic website so you need to spend even more cash on that.
So the price for the product itself is quite high but there are many other additional fees you’ll need to pay to fully setup the system.
Granted, if you do manage to setup a proper eCommerce store, it won’t be long before the sales come in.
You might earn back what you spent – and then some – but there’s really no guarantee.
It is a risk.
This type of product is best suited for already-successful entrepreneurs or business owners who want to expand their businesses and can afford the cost.
It is not for people who are getting started for the first time and don’t have a large budget.
So if you can afford to spend over $2,000 on a course and you have time to go through all the material, I say go ahead and buy this course.
If not, there are much cheaper alternatives.
You might not even have to buy anything as there is plenty of free training material online.

eCom Success Academy
$2940 - Expensive!Pros
- Adrian Morrison is a real person. Not a Persona.
- Great Training Material. Walks You Through Building a eCommerce Business
- Private Forum for Members to Discuss Strategies
Cons
- Expensive.
- Facebook Ads and The Other Recommended Traffic is Expensive Too (Additional Costs)
- It's a Gamble. No Guarantees You'll Make Money.
I have always been interested in the eCommerce business model. I would love to try it out one day when I have the disposable income for it. If you are committed then I think that this could work out. Nonetheless, I think that this is an expensive startup cost for a risk that I know next to nothing about.
Good points Austin. This is what makes affiliate marketing and niche websites so attractive. You don’t need much money, but you’ve got to give it a bit of time.
eCommerce has a higher earning potential and you can make pretty good money if you’ve got a hot product, but there is a lot time and money to risk.
I bought 1000 total iPhone 5 cases last year, I couldn’t sell the last 200 of them, there’s about 2K down the drain.
Anyways, thanks for the feedback on our eCom Success Academy review.
Hi,
E commerce in my opinion is for intermediate to advanced marketers who have already had success with other businesses. I’m not saying it can’t be done as a beginner but it’s going to take longer and you will lose more money.
Also I’ve been hearing everywhere that Facebook ads are the best choice for this business. It’s quite expensive and sometimes the ads get banned for no reason.
I’m currently starting out with affiliate marketing and once i have money coming in i will definitely try e commerce though.
i will definitely get some experience with ppc even if i don’t make any money with it. May even try eCom Success Academy. Thanks for the review.
That’s a great plan and one that I didn’t do. I went the reverse. Regardeless you can do great at affiliate marketing or eCommerce if you’re focused on creating success.
For affiliate marketing, go with our free training course.
For eCommerce, check out Power Seller Skip McGragth.
Best,
Todd
I’ve always been interested in eCommerce and I think that if I go that route, I would look into eCom Success Academy for further training.
Right now I’m new to internet marketing and working to get started with affiliate marketing but I’m not set on where to get my training.
Who do you think I should look into?
Yeah, eCommerce will require more upfront costs than creating a niche affiliate site or blog.
I would recommend you go with our Free Internet Marketing Training eCourse.
That way you can see if this is really the right kind of business plus I give our favorite referrals depending on what stage in the game you’re in.
Thanks
Thanks for a great read! I have been involved with many forms of e-commerce over the years, primarily on existing websites with built in traffic like eBay and Etsy.
I had branched out in the past few years to utilize Shopify but will admit it is much harder to make sales when you are 100% responsible for driving traffic to your site.
I had never heard of the eCom success academy prior to reading your post, and I appreciate your honesty about the program, particularly the cost it entails.
I can’t help but wonder if once you reach enough sales to afford the course, do you really need the information that it contains?
Hey Jennifer, thanks for your feedback. There’s a handful of products our there for eCommerce and I feel going through a course these days is a great way to avoid mistakes, money, and time.
I put together a profitable eCommerce business on Amazon and eBay and used a couple of handy tools, one was power seller Skip McGraths books and the other was Terapeak.
I think if you’re building a eCommerce platform using Shopify, then having the right kind of training will make all the difference.
And learning how to drive traffic is critical for success if you’re not piggy backing off of giants like Amazon and eBay.
Thanks for your post. It is valuable information for me to get while I consider the best way to learn about social media marketing and e-commerce in general. This program seems appealing, especially if it is, indeed, equivalent to college level education. I appreciate that! Thanks for posting such a thorough review on eCom Success Academy. 🙂
You bet Randene, happy to help and thanks for your feedback. eCommerce can be the most profitable type of online business so you want to make sure you get started on the right path.
I am a complete newbie to ecommerce, so eCom Success Academy with over $2000 for starter membership is too risky and way too high for me. I will have to go with something cheaper like selling on Amazon and using Terapeak to find products. I thought Terapeak was for searching products to sell on Ebay. I didn’t know that it could be used for Amazon too. Whichever one, I will still stick to one of the cheaper alternatives.
Hi Carol, I would say that if price is a concern and eCommerce is the direction you want to take, the most economical program out there is Skip’s Amazon Seller Book.
He’s got all the info that bigger and more costly programs like the Amazing Selling Machine offer for a couple hundred dollars.
If online business is what you’re looking for, join our Free eCourse on Internet Marketing, this would be my best recommendation to beginners on a tight budget.
Thanks,
Todd
Wholly smokes! $2950 is a LOT of money to start with Ecom Success Academy! I could never do that price tag, and would not without a long trial period to see if it worked. Too me this would be a HUGE risk and I think using that money to gamble or do the stock market would get me better returns. I am glad this information gets out on the internet, so that others can know to steer clear!
Hey Matt’s Mom,
I know this can be a bit steep for most people, but there are several other programs that teach eCommerce businesses that charge 5K for their training, so it’s all based one’s perspective.
You also have to realize that eCommerce has the highest payout potential but is much more risky than internet marketing, blogging, email/affiliate marketing.
At the same time, one can pay 50K or more for a year of college and end up with nothing to show for it, so it’s all dependent on what online business model you want to work with and what type of dedication you have.
Thanks for your feedback,
Todd
