What is FunX?

FunX is a little different. Their slogan is "Play More, Win More". They call it a mobile esports platform, but it's mostly casino-type games to earn coins. But there are a lot of games to play, that is for sure.
As you might have guessed, the coins can either be used to play more games (and earn more) or redeemed in a number of ways, the most popular of which is PayPal cash. So, right off the bat, FunX is about playing simple games on your phone, such as; scratch-off games, roulette, and many others.
Now they even have a competitive mode where you can challenge friends to random card games to earn coins. It's something different, at least it's entertaining, but you're probably not interested in playing these kind of games, unless there's some sort of financial incentive.
Can You Make Money with FunX?
Getting down to it, FunX does provide users with the option to redeem their winnings in the form of PayPal cash.
Look:
Now, one thing to remember before you jump in is that FunX is a new app, so delays and bugs are to be expected. It was even removed from the Google Play store once, but the developers managed to get it listed again. So keep that in mind while you continue with this section.
To answer the question, yes you can make money with FunX.
The minimum amount of PayPal cash you can request is $5 and you need 3 million coins to reach that amount. I know, that sounds like a lot, and it is, but there's one upside here.
These games are mostly luck-based, and the amount of coins you can earn is random. Obviously, if you win the jack pot on one of the casino games, you'll earn a lot of coins, more than enough to cash out.
Of course, that's the dream of every gambler, and the chances of that happening and incredibly low. Still, there are a lot of games to play, and there's a decent chance of winning something reasonable.
Here's a list of some games:
- Hourly Plays
- Draws
- Slots
- Roulette
- Daily Free Games
- Football
- Baccarat
- Solitaire
- Blackjack
Just to give you an idea, the daily wheel spin usually rewards you with 3,000 coins. So you can see there's a lot of random games to play around with.
The reward for winning is coins, and the amount varies. On a side note, everyone starts with 25,000 free coins, so that's nice.
FunX Daily Rewards:
Besides playing games for rewards, there are some daily activities you can do to earn some extra coins. The most popular is inviting friends. But there are two others, Daily Check Ins, and Earn Everyday.
The Daily Check Ins are self-explanatory; the app rewards you whenever you use it, but it also rewards you when people you refer use it. For you, if you check in 3 days in a row, on the third day you'll earn 50,000 points. Likewise, 60 days in a row and you'll get 1 Million. So FunX points can add up relatively quickly.

The Earn Everyday bonus is like a streak, you earn 2K every time you check in, and the streak can last for up to 413 days. But you'll need to use the app every day or you'll lose the streak.
FunX Tasks:
These are more like little challenges to earn points. For example, if you play roulette 150 times you'll earn 20,000 bonus coins. There are a lot of these, which is nice, such as Spin Slots 20 times (very easy) for 2,000 coins. Keep in mind, these are bonuses, in addition to whatever you earn from the game.
The General Tasks tab has some easy tasks for quick coins. The best paying ones are Take a Survey and Report a Bug, both of which pay 10,000 coins. Smaller and easier ones would be Watch a Video or Enter a Promo Code.
FunX Pros:
Here's what we liked about this app...
1. No Need to Create an Account:
Usually, these apps require all kinds of information for you to make an account. Not the case here. FunX offers login buttons for Facebook and Google, but you can also login as a guest. You can even cash-out as a guest, which is great. In short, it's very easy to start playing and earning coins.
2. Wide Variety of Games:
Remember the list from earlier? Those are all games you can play to win some coins. Some are luck-based, and others are skill-based. For example, solitaire is a skill-based game, while slots is more up to chance.
Nevertheless, there's a lot to play around with, and that means you have better chances of earning coins. At least, you won't get bored.
3. Coin to Currency Converter:
It's nice the app shows you exactly how much money your coins are worth. No need for calculations, it will tell you. For example, 11,269 points is equal to about 32 cents. And you start out with 25,000 so you already have 71 cents. It will also display the total value of the coins in your rewards section.
4. Quick Earnings:
No need to wait around and hope the coins will be added to your account, FunX instantly adds the coins to your account. I clicked around a bit and earned 10,000 coins from a couple games. It's great how you can earn coins so quickly! On the other hand, it's not that much money when it comes down to it.

The Cons with FunX
Now here's what we didn't like...
1. Is It Really Up to Chance:
One of the main problems I have with these kind of games is you have no idea if it's actually chance. I feel like there's no way to know if it's really up to chance or if the game is rigged against you. It could all be scripted, and designed for you to lose all your coins. That's one thing to keep in mind.
2. You Have to Spend Coins to Play Games:
Since most of the games are gambling related, you need to spend your coins to place bets and what not. And as you can imagine, they can run out quite quickly! It's not easy to hold on to your earnings, that's for sure.
So if you win-big and hope to win another by betting a bunch of coins, and you lose, then you don't have anything left. At least it's not real money!
3. Takes Awhile to Process Payments:
Not as long as other platforms, but for $5 PayPal cash it takes up to 7 days or more to process. Sometimes the platform will encounter a bug and delay the payment, so you need to be aware of these things. The good news is there's no transaction fee, that's great.
4. Low Earnings:
Even though there are a lot of ways to make money with FunX the fact remains it just doesn't pay well.
I mean, you can't expect much from a free app, but when you consider you have to spend coins for most games, then I feel the value should be increased a bit.
Still, when compared to some other point-based platforms, the point-to-cash value is not too bad. Not great, but not too bad.
Is FunX a Scam?
After playing around with the app a bit, I can say FunX is not a scam. It's a legitimate app where you can earn coins for playing some random games.
But it's not something I recommend because it's just too unreliable. Plus the earnings are pretty low too.
It's similar to other reward apps we've reviewed like; AppNana, Moocash and Dosh App to name a few.
The Bottom Line with FunX:
So what's the conclusion on FunX? After playing around with this app, to me, it looks like an okay way to earn some extra coins here and there. On the other hand, I know gambling can be a slippery slope, and you lose more often than you win.
There are some comments online from people who said they earned millions of coins from the FunX games, only to lose them in another session. It's kind of random. I won't hurt to sign-in and spin some slots, but you shouldn't expect to earn anything significant from it.
Is There a Reliable Way to Earn Online?
As a matter of fact, there are plenty of reliable ways to make money online, some of which are listed on this page.
I'll narrow it down. In my opinion, building a website designed to make money through affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money online. Granted, it does take time and effort to build, but the rewards are worth the struggle.
If you're wondering what I recommend to learn how to do that, hit the red button below. It links to my favorite online training center where you can learn all there is to building a successful money-making website.
Thanks for taking the time to read this FunX review. Hopefully now you know what is FunX all about. Leave a comment below if you have any questions!
I’m glad to hear that your research showed that Funx is not a scam. But I will refrain from playing it because it would take to long to actually earn some cash. If I spent all day on this app I wouldn’t be able to look into other opportunities that can actually pay me better.
Thanks Mahasin for your feedback on our FunX review. You’re absolutely right, there’s only so much time in the day and you’ve got to decide where you want to spend it. I found it much better to build my own online business rather than play on someone else’s.
Best,
Todd
FunX sounds ok. I like that you can sign in with Facebook and Google, and it seems easy enough to earn coins. There seem to be some nice bonuses. There are many games to choose from. I don’t like gambling though, and it looks as if it is just as easy to lose your coins as win them … I think it can be fun to play those games, but it will probably not make a lot of money. Building a website seems more viable to me, but it is true that it requires work, time, and effort, which will be worth it in the end. The internet is teeming with “quick cash opportunities”, so I always appreciate an honest review like yours, followed by a great suggestion 🙂
Hey Christine,
After reading your comments on FunX, I think you’re perfect for online business. You sound exactly like me. I’m not a big gambler and I think it’s more of a fun activity versus a stable way to make money online. That’s why I love affiliate marketing as an online business, it’s simple and low risk too.
Best,
Todd
Hi Todd,
I had never heard of FunX until I read your review, thanks for taking the time to do a review, I’m sure that a lot if people will benefit from your experience. Anyone looking to make money from a money making app needs to read what you have written especially after I saw that you gave this app a 60 out of 100 meaning that there is a lot of room for improvement in the Funx app.
On the pro side and for anyone who likes to play online games it has something going for it, it doesn’t look like you could lose a lot of money on it but one never knows.
Well done,
Fintan
Thanks Fintan for your feedback on my FunX review. I always try to point out the pros and cons, it’s best to know what you’re getting into so you don’t end up wasting time or money.
Cheers,
Todd
Thank you for sharing your review on Funx. I’ve heard about it but after reading your review I am going to pass on it. Life is too short to rely on playing games or luck. Especially when there are tried and trued ways to make money online. With that being said that app could be fun for a kid or college student.
Good take Pamela except I think college students would be better off for a real online business versus playing games. Now for kids or for fun, FunX works.
Check out this post if you’re a college student looking for alternative ways to make money online.
Thanks,
Todd
Thanks for the great post about one of the best games I have ever played online that’s paying real funx, I got on the app by a friend who introduced it to me some months back and I earn while playing the game for fun, is’t that great? Anyways I have made my cash out once on the app and it was successful so am recommending it for all to play and earn for real.
Right on Rose, thanks for sharing your experience with the FunX app and for confirming the results of what I found while doing this review. Good stuff!
Todd
