Wondering what is Google Primer and if you can really use it to learn a new skill? Continue reading this article to learn more about it.
If you – like most people – are looking for a way to learn something new for free, there’s a cool new app that caught my attention called Google Primer.
What is Google Primer?
Google Primer (a.k.a. yourprimer.com) is an education app that simplifies the basics of various skills into flash cards that are easy to digest, similar to how you teach children to read.
I thought the app was pretty interesting and I have been playing around with it on my phone.
There are lessons on a wide range of skills, spanning from cooking to online business, and it only takes a few minutes to complete each lesson.
Speaking of Lessons.. Grab Our Free Training Series:
Surprisingly, it’s completely free, it’s on the Apple and Android stores.
But there are a couple of things that you should know…
What I Didn’t Like about Google Primer:
Google Primer is a free app that is still being developed, still there are a few things that you should know.
For one, there aren’t many topics available.
Take a look at the screenshot below.
The numbers on the right hand side represent the total lessons within that category.
As you can see, there aren’t many; there are only four lessons in the social media category.
My main issue with this tool is the lack of lessons.
For this tool to really make a difference, there needs to be more lessons, and it’s something the Primer team said they’ll be working on in the near future.
What I Loved about Google Primer:
Flashcards. Seriously, who doesn’t like flash cards?
The flash card style of teaching is highly recommended for all sorts of industries – and it really works.
It’s one of the easiest ways to memorize information.
So the lessons in Google Primer are made of flash cards, and when you are done with one, swipe down to go to the next one.
You can also go back and forward to previous cards be tapping on the screen as well.
When you reach the end of the lesson you’ll be given a little quiz to review your understanding of the subject.
And in the account tab you can see how many new skills you learned and the total number of lessons you completed.
When you complete a certain number of lessons in one category a new skill will be added to your account.
Who’s Google Primer For?
Everyone can benefit a bit from Google Primer’s lessons but I feel the lessons are more for beginners, at least, the lessons about online business.
It doesn’t really provide you with step to step tutorials.
Google Primer’s lessons will give you a rough crash course on various topics but you will need more training if you really want to learn those skills.
At least, to a point where you can start marketing them and earning money from them.
I do feel like the tool has potential and it can really take off if more lessons are added.
And more detailed lessons at that.
Hopefully now you know what is Google Primer, but you probably want to know where you can go to find more information about building an online business.
Contrary to what you might think, there’s no need to spend thousands of dollars on training courses.
Most of the information you need is out there, somewhere, for free.
But finding it (and making sense of it) can be difficult.
You can hit the button below to join our favorite training course where they walk you through step by step training on how to build a successful online business.
Or you can keep trying to do it on your own. Some people succeed. Most feel overwhelmed.
There are so many courses, videos, books, and articles out there, it can all be rather complicated.
When I first started working online, I spent so much time going through courses and consuming material.
I had so much information floating around in my brain I didn’t know what to do with it.
I found a way to learn and build an online business, one day at a time. It’s one of the coolest things a person can do in my opinion.
To Summarize: What is Google Primer?
So Google Primer is a decent free educational app and I like their teaching style. I feel it has a lot of potential.
On the other hand, it lacks lessons, and each lesson is quite short.
It’s completely free though so there is nothing to lose. Just don’t expect a lot.
Hopefully, in the future, they’ll add more lessons and add more content to the lessons and I’ll update this review when they do.
Still, it’s a cool little app to keep an eye on. Maybe you can learn something new while you’re on the subway or bored.
Thanks for taking the time to read this Google Primer review.
I hope you learned something new!
