Helium10 is heavily marketed on YouTube and other platforms, but what is Helium10.com? Is it a powerful Amazon product research tool? How does it compare to other tools in the industry? In this Helium10 review, I'll do my best to provide you with the information you need to make an educated decision.
What is Helium10.com?
Helium10.com is an all-in-one platform of over a dozen tools Amazon tools, including a training center and even a podcast. It can help you with all kinds of tasks, mostly validating product ideas and opportunities with historical seller data. They also have tools for keyword research, trends, competition, and many others, including a browser extension for Chrome.
Helium10 is very similar to other Amazon research platforms, with a few core differences worth talking about. Deciding which Amazon research platform to use can be tough because they're often expensive.
Helium10 Tools Explained:
As it turns out, lots of people are moving to Helium10 from other tools. What makes Helium10 offers more features and tools than other tools.
With Helium10, you'll gain access to tools in the following categories: product research, keyword research, listings optimizations, business management, analytics, marketing, and many others.
In some cases, each category has 3 or more individual tools, so there's a lot to uncover.
Notable Feature: Landing Page Builder
One of the newest tools to be added to Helium10's suite is a landing page builder. On the platform, they refer to the builder as "Portals". What it allows you to do is create specific landing pages that lead to your product listings on Amazon, a great way to utilize traffic from external sources.
Speaking landing page builders, one of my favorites is Thrive Architect.
Product Research Tools:
The core of Helium10 is focused on product research.
1 - Black Box
Helium10's Black Box tool is the main product research tool, and it's where you'll spend most of your time on the platform. It has a database of over 450 million products.
The tool will breakdown the data into a number of categories, such as estimated monthly sales, weight, reviews, sellers (competition), price, and other information.
2 - Trendster
Are you more visually oriented? Trendster will show you graphs with the data points mentioned above, revealing trends and other useful informations. It can help you track and take advantage of seasonal products, a very useful tool for uncovering marketing and product trends.
3 - Xray
Xray is accessible through the Helium 10 Chrome extension. What Xray does is pull important data from any Amazon page, it's what you'll use to validate ideas.
They even have an evaluation tool that scans for listing optimization suggestions, for example the number of images used, image sizes, title character count, and much more.
Helim10 has three tools for keyword research:
1 - Cerebro
Cerebro is Helium10's competitor analysis tool. It allows you to enter any ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) and find all of the keywords for the listings.
The Cerebro will not only reveal competitor keywords but also show traffic stats and suggestions to optimize your own listings for search engine optimization.
2 - Magnet 2
Magnet 2 is Helium10's keyword research tool. Much like other keyword research tools (our favorite is Jaaxy), it reveals all kinds of keyword data, such as long tail keywords, volume, exact match phrases, and keyword suggestions.
3 - Misspellinator
Another interesting keyword research tool. Misspellinator helps you find commonly misspelled keywords that have high volume. Adding a couple of these keywords to your listings could help you get more views.
There are lots of other tools, but let's move on...

Helium10.com Pricing Options:
As you might expect, a bundle that includes all of those tools won't be cheap. The good news is Helium10 has plenty of pricing options and plans, including a free membership. Here's a breakdown:
- Free (Limited Use for 30 Days)
- Platinum $97/month
- Diamond $197/month
- Elite $397/mo
The free membership includes very basic features and a limited use of their core tools, for example, only 20 uses of Black Box, 50 X-Ray uses, and 2 keyword lookups a day.
As for the price, Helium10 is expensive, but most people agree the investment is worth the cost of entry. For new Amazon sellers, it might be a good idea to go with a cheaper alternative, at least until your budget increases. I will also recommend some alternatives later on!
Bonus Features: Freedom Ticket
Upgrading to a paid subscription (Platinum or higher) will not only unlock unlimited use of the tools, but also access to the training center called Freedom Ticket.
Freedom Ticket is an online FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) video training course that walks you through all the steps necessary to build a successful business on Amazon. It contains 8-weeks of training material, over 60 videos, and lots of real life examples and case studies.
I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it looks similar to Amazing Selling Machine.
Is Helium10 Data Accurate?
Helium 10 is very accurate but the data can vary depending on a number of factors such as competition and category. The data is compiled from lots of sources, and AI estimates are used too, so it's never 100% accurate. Helium 10's data is about 90% accurate.
This video explains more about that:
Helium10.com Too Expensive? Alternatives:
Circling back to the price, if it's a little out of your budget ($97/month + all your other business fees, can be a lot) there are a few cheaper Helium10 alternatives you can look into:
1 - Jungle Scout
Jungle Scout is another tool for Amazon sellers, complete with a web extension, and lots of other features. It's probably the second most used tool, with this one being the first. The price for Jungle Scout starts at $29/month.
2 - IO Scout
IO Scout is an underrated tool that works the same as other Amazon research products. Their live-chat is always on and ready to respond to requests. Subscriptions start from $25/month.
Of course, a Helium 10's free trial. The problem is your searches on the trial are extremely limited (usually 2 a day!) so you won't be able to use it very often.
To be clear, you don't need any Amazon research tool to be successful. They do make your life a lot easier by simplifying a lot many complicated tasks. Whether or not you think that's worth the price is up to you.
Helium 10.com is one of the most popular Amazon research tools, and for good reasons. It has lots of awesome features, tools, training and - basically - everything you need to start. The downside? It's pricey. And there's a lot to learn! It might take you weeks to simply learn how to use that platform and interpret the data.
