What is Heysphere?
Heysphere, most commonly known as Zwerl or simply Sphere, is a software and mobile app company that was founded in November 2015 by Nick D'Aloisio and Tomas Halgas.
Nick D'Aloisio is the 17 year old kid who sold an app to Yahoo for a whopping $30 million dollars on March 2013. His new app, Heysphere, is both a site and a mobile app that allows users to ask questions and get instant answers from “industry experts”.
The app has experts in topics that include dating, fashion, cooking, health, travel, movies, and sports. They also have experts that are ready to answer your questions in academic topics such as math, literature, science, trigonometry, computer science, programming, and coding.
It’s cool. But the question still stands.
Is Heysphere legit?
Heysphere Experts:
To get a more accurate review about the money-making opportunity of Heysphere, I decided to join their pool of experts and see if I’ll qualify.
After you sign up, you will have the freedom to choose which topics you want to be an “expert” in.
After taking some of the assessments…

Thanks to Google, I am now an expert in music, dating, and basketball!
That’s 3 things I barely do or have interest in which casts a huge shadow of doubt around the legitimacy of their experts.
But who am I to say they’re not? Maybe they are experts after all.

~ real people, real work
4 - 5 figures/month online!
Once you pass the assessment for a given topic, you will get a tag on your profile. This will allow you to get chat requests relevant to the topic that you are expert in.
Now that they consider me an expert in these topics, I can now start earning.
Let’s see if the pay is worth it.
How To Earn with Heysphere?
For a start, you just have to wait for a chat to come in for you to start earning. You earn a maximum amount per chat that you participate in. The rate per minute is $0.1 with a maximum of 10 minutes per chat. So roughly, $1 for a 10-minute chat.
That’s not bad as long as there is a steady volume of chats coming in right?
But that’s a big IF.
They have an AI algorithm that they call ExpertRanking to ensure that each chat request is answered by the most suitable expert and it all depends on an experts Reputation Level.
Did you know that you can take your skills and become an expert in any niche and make great money online? If not, read this short post to see how niche marketing works.
Reputation Level and Badges:
To earn badges and increase your reputation level, you have to answer user questions as effectively as possible. This is something you should aim for if you want to get chat requests on a consistent basis.
The more you answer chat requests and get votes from users, the more your reputation score increases. Which means you will get a higher chance of getting selected by the algorithm when a chat request comes in.
As your reputation level increases, your earnings increase as well.

For you to earn $3.00 per chat, your reputation level needs to hit the 1 million mark.
To be honest, that’ll be a little hard to achieve.
With all the experts currently at their employ, the chances you have at receiving a chat request at the higher level is extremely slim.
I have basically stared at the monitor for an hour and not a single chat came in.
That’s an hour of my time that I can never get back.
So let’s say you get a chat request, will you automatically get paid for it?
No. Why? Read on.
The Heysphere Voting System:
With Heysphere, the increase in your reputation level depends on two things.
- The number of chat requests you successfully answer.
- If the user votes for your answer.
Basically, someone will ask a question and a number of experts will be available to answer. After the experts' answers, the system will then give users an opportunity to vote for the best expert or choose to vote for no one. If a user voted “no one”, that means that their question wasn’t answered, in short, you won’t get paid.
You won’t get paid if:
- The user you chatted with voted for “no one” at the end of the chat, you won’t get paid.
- If they didn’t vote for another expert or chose the option “I don’t know”.
- Upon receiving a chat, the user didn’t type in any message and didn’t leave a vote.
- You were part of a chat for less than 30 seconds.
- Or you have not received a vote from a user or an expert.
In short, getting a chat and answering it doesn’t automatically mean that you’ll earn money from that chat. It still depends on the votes.
Heysphere Bonuses:
Community Bonus:
This is given to experts who keep the community alive and interesting by asking questions.
Weird right?
For each calendar day that you ask a question, a 4% community bonus will be added on top of your earnings. The more you ask questions, the bigger it gets. The maximum bonus caps at 20% for each day.
If you didn't ask a question the next day, the bonus goes down by 4% but if you ask a question again, you will earn back the 4% you’ve lost.

As to why they give this bonus out when an expert asks a question is beyond me. I don’t see the purpose at all.
Daily Bonus:
This bonus is given for the first chat that an expert answers each day. This is given daily and will only apply to the first chat of a given day, as long as 24 hours has already passed since your last daily bonus. For example, you got your first chat at 11am. The next daily bonus will be given for your first chat at 11am the next day.

Working With Heysphere:
Desperate to know how other experts are doing, I researched for employee reviews and though there are a bunch of good reviews, the few bad reviews that I found are troubling.

Complaints ranging from not getting their pay to not being able to get enough opportunity to earn through the app makes me want to step away from this “money-making opportunity”.

In my experience, it is not easy to get a chat request because I was always being outranked by other experts. There was a time where I got a chat only to be out-clicked by experts who are using auto-click programs to make sure they get it immediately when it pops up.
Heysphere has very few opportunities to earn coupled with the platforms steep learning curve made my journey as an expert a very frustrating one.

Heysphere PROS:
1. Earning Potential:
Earning a decent amount of income is possible if you're fast enough and patient enough to stay in the system.
2. Job Flexibility:
They offer flexibility. You can work any time you want, how often you want.
3. Work from Anywhere:
The app adds provides accessibility. You can work using your phone, anywhere.
Basically these are all the same benefits of starting your own online business.
The CONS:
1. Really Long Time to Earn:
Though there is a possibility of earning a decent amount of cash with this app, it will take you a long time to do so.
2. Unpaid Work:
Reports of experts being let go without cause and not paying them what is due.
3. Inconsistent Income:
An unstable way of earning money.
Is Heysphere a Scam?
No, Heyshpere is not a scam. It is a legitimate way of earning money. Though I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
What they're trying to do is great. They have the vision to make information that is already available to everyone, more available by delivering the information in a personalized manner with the help of their experts.
The earning potential of being an expert is so small that you could make more money selling balloons than waiting for hours just to get a chat.
You can work with them but let me tell you this, you will burn countless hours before you even get a decent earning. Decent. Not ample.
If you love helping and talking to different people everyday, then I've got a much better idea for you.

this application works yet ??
Hi Beatriz,
Check out our Heysphere Review one more time. It’s not a lack of working per se, it’s a lack of information. Heysphere only pays you commissions if you bring traffic to the products you write reviews about. So if you don’t have traffic, it’s not going to help. If you do have traffic, I think you could monitize it better than what you’ll earn from Heyshpere. But it’s always best to compare commissions and the affiliate partner you choose to work with. You want an affiliate that’s reputable and pays you well. The product you promote reflects on your business too.

Thanks for sharing this review, it saves me a lot of time and also money, that I can use for better programs and tools than this one. I use wealthy affiliate now, but I’m always looking for good opportunities as well. But this one doesn’t seems to be one for me. So thanks again, I will pass on Heysphere.
Just stick with Wealthy Affiliate Emmanuel and you’ll do great. That’s who I got started with years ago and I couldn’t be happier with the results. If you just stay consistent to the training and work hard it won’t be long till you have your own niche website that’s bringing traffic and daily sales.
Thanks for your feedback on Heysphere.
Cheers
Thanks for explaining clearly what the Heysphere platform is all about and how we can monetize it. I had not heard of this site so while navigating around your website a bit decided to read more as the name and your post title caught my eye. This does seem like a legitimate tool, if somewhat limited in regards to income potential it offers, at first glance.
Drilling down a bit more as you have done, the ex-employees and current employees comments are alarming indeed. It seems that there is some discomfort from within the ranks as to how people can earn money and even on getting paid out for your work.
Add to that the problems of getting a chat that you can earn from, and I have to say, this is not something I would get myself involved with. There are just too many other ways that you can earn without these kinds of hassles. Although not a scam, I do not think it is something I would recommend to anyone else either.
Thanks Dave for your thoughts on Heysphere. Interesting concept but not my cup of tea either.
Thanks for the detailed review. On the surface it looks like a nice way to make a little bit extra but some of the reviews are really troubling. It’s easy to see how they can take advantage of the system and never pay the money people deserve as there will always be more people to fill the gaps when needed. It’s a scary thought to spend so much time to level up your reputation in order to start gaining anything significant only to be banned for unknown reasons. Basically it strips all control from you which is not something I would like to do.
Thanks Stratos for your take on Heysphere. Cheers, Todd
Spere looks like a great idea in Theory and lacks a bit in practice. I honestly don’t have time to sit around and wait for chats and could think of a million ways that my time would be spent more wisely and even earn more in the same amount of time.
Having to rely on others to make an income has never appealed to me. Especially here where you have to get answers or likes or comments in order to earn.
Thanks for a great review and hope that there are some that are successful on this platform.
You bet Michel. Thanks for your comment on the review.
Just read your review and am not sure why anyone would want to sign up for that company. If you get enough chats coming in so you can work steadily, you are still making only $6.00 per hour. That’s hardly worth the time it would take you to make it!
Heysphere’s “experts” leave much to be desired. How can you answer questions that are completely out of your experience? Even with Google. Sometimes you have to know which question to ask to get the right answer. I prefer Quora, even though you make no money. You can participate when you want to, and don’t have to wait around for chat calls.
Awesome Fran, thanks for the feedback on Heysphere, seems lacking to me as well.
Hi Todd,
I have read many reviews about apps that can help you in making money. However, the way this heysphere use to pay their experts is not worth for the real experts. As you said, you can spend a significant amount of time on a chat with a person that doesn’t understand anything. I relate to this as I get bonuses based on the review I get from my customers, even if I did a great job, they can get confused with the survey and mark an answer they don’t want to.
Anyway, I appreciate the time you take on creating this Heysphere review, I will make sure that if I ever read or hear about this app again I won’t use it as it is a waste of time that you can invest doing a more reliable business online.
Thanks for the article.
You bet Andres and I appreciate your feedback.
