February 6, 2018 by Todd

What is ID Watchdog Review Image

People want to know.. What is ID Watchdog? and will this service keep your identity safe?

As well, they want to learn more about the business opportunity that allows ID Watchdog members to make money online.

Identity theft, is unfortunately quite a common occurrence. Not only that, the crime can have some serious consequences.

If you become a victim of identity theft, then your credit, financial security, and personal information will be compromised.

So, how do you protect yourself?

Thankfully, there are many services out there that protect you from this type of fraudulent activity.

Companies like Legal Shield, Identity Force, and ID Watchdog are some of the better known companies to provide protection from identity theft.

In this article, we will talk about ID Watchdog. We’ll discuss what it’s services are and how they can benefit you.

What is ID Watchdog?

In short, ID Watchdog is a company that offers a variety of services that are designed to protect your identity.

They offer decent credit monitoring options that can help prevent identity theft.

However, probably the most unique thing that set’s ID Watchdog apart from it’s competitors is that it offers full recovery programs.

This means if your personal, financial information has already been compromised, then ID Watchdog can lead you through the steps to full recovery.

You can make use of this service even if you haven’t signed up before!

Qualified professionals will work on your records to correct any false information.

ID Watchdog specialists will lead you carefully through the aftermath of an identity theft to full recovery.

Few other companies offer this type of service.

The trade-off is that their services are less affordable.

There are also a few other things about ID Watchdog that customers tend to complain about.

ID Watchdog Complaints

There are a lot of ID Watchdog reviews that do not give the whole picture.

So, that’s why I compiled some of the issues people have found with this company.

Even though ID Watchdog offers great identity protection and recovery services, they still have some disadvantages.

Compared to other similar companies, ID Watchdog doesn’t offer a lot of services.

Yes, you can use it to repair damage from an identity theft.

But as for monitor services, ID Watchdog is seriously lacking.

It offers no:

  • Financial lost wallet assistance.
  • Antivirus software.
  • Criminal recovery.
  • Tax identity recovery, among other things.

Users have also been known to complain about the ID Watchdog app. They often say that the interface is hard to navigate.

It isn’t user friendly.

Expect to be calling customer support a lot for help with your legal work.

You can also expect mediocre customer services.

In addition, customer support isn’t available 24/7 either.

Advantages of ID Watchdog

Here are the features you can expect from it’s services:

  • Internet monitoring
  • Monitoring of your social security number (Make’s sure it isn’t being used fraudulently).
  • Credit monitoring from the three main bureaus: Experian, TransUnion, Equifax.
  • Scans of malicious and black market websites for your information.
  • Credit alerts so you are notified of any unexpected changes.
  • If the service thinks that your identity has been stolen, then you are immediately notified.
  • It offers insurance reimbursement to it’s clients. You can get up to $1 million in reimbursements if ID Watchdog fails to prevent your identity from being stolen.
  • Full restoration of identity.
  • Family service. This means you can include your children in your plans with ID Watchdog.

ID Watchdog Pricing?

ID Watchdog offers two types of plans: Plus and Platinum.

The Plus version offers almost all of the same features as the Platinum version. However, you won’t have the credit monitoring feature. Only Platinum has this feature.

Basically, if you get the Plus version, you will have to do a little more work checking your credit scores manually.

On the other hand, if you use the Platinum plan, all of that information is delivered conveniently to you.

If you can manage without the extra features from Platinum, then you can save $50 annually.

Here is a comparison of the two plans side by side:

The Bottom Line on ID Watchdog:

While ID Watchdog is a great product, it simply isn’t the best.

Instead I recommend Legalshield/ID Shield.

Why is that?

Well, ID Shield not only offers protection services against identity theft, but also protection against a large number of other legal issues as well.

With Legal Shield you can get professional help for legal issues related to a wide variety of things.

For instance, you can get help with estate planning, traffic tickets, consumer finance, landlord/tenants, and much more.

Legal Shield’s division that handles identity theft is called ID Shield.

ID Shield is considered to be the top of the line identity protection services in the industry.

ID Shield offers very competitive prices, individual plans start off at only $9.95 per month.

You can also choose to include your spouse and up to eight children in the Family Plan. The family plan costs $19.95 each month.

So ID Shield simply offers more and better features than ID Watchdog.

For one, you can get up to a $5 million reimbursement if your identity was stolen under their protection.

Remember, ID Watchdog only offers a $1 million reimbursement insurance.

Also, Legalshield is a network marketing company, and ID Watchdog is not.

This means that you can make money online through Legalshield.

How do you earn money with Legal Shield?

Basically you become an associate with Legal Shield and sell their legal plans to others. If you make sales then you get commissions.

In addition, you can earn money if your customers want to become associates. You earn a commission from the sales they make also.

Building a team is the best way to make money through this type of program.

Conclusion on ID Watchdog:

While ID Watchdog offers decent identity protection services, Legalshield/ID Shield is simply better.

Check out our in-depth review of Legal Shield right here!

You have better features and service with ID Shield, all at a better price.

Finally, you will also be able to make money from Legal Shield if you want to go that route.
