What is IQ Life and IQ Konnect? And yeah, it’s Konnect with a K.
If you’ve been on Facebook lately, it seems that there is a bombardment of Facebook friends promoting this program called IQ Life as the next holly grail of investment opportunities.
I continually hear IQ Life messages of “time is limited”, “invitation only”, and “don’t miss your opportunity to get in on the ground floor”.
All messages which I associate with scams, some form of MLM’s (Multilevel Marketing), or pyramid schemes.
Now, first off, I’m not here to knock MLM’s or pyramid systems by any means.
I’m just here to take a look at what is IQ Life/IQ Konnect and give you my honest opinion of what I think about it.
And in my opinion, the IQ Life company promoting the IQ Konnect social network is just another MLM system that is a grand waste of your time and money.

What Is IQ Life, IQ Konnect, and Level 9 Marketing
Level 9 Marketing LLC launched it’s (MLM) Quality of Life App in December 2012.
After less than a year of promoting the Level 9 Marketing App, there was a drop in sales and Level 9 was unable to break into the retail side of the App Market.
In August, 2013. According to the Level 9 website, two branch partners bought out the company.
Then a couple of months later, they relaunched themselves as another company called IQ Life.
They abandoned the App world to bring you the same (MLM) system into the Social world.
Now, IQ Life (formally Level 9 Marketing) is the parent company and they are offering their marketing investment in the form of a new social platform called IQ Konnect.
Confusing I know.
But what does this say about the company?
Some reorganization perhaps, or just a poor track record in the multilevel marketing industry and possibly trying to hide their past failures.
You make the call.

What’s the IQ Life/IQ Konnect Concept?
So this is probably the coolest aspect about IQ Life/IQ Konnect.
They sell you on the concept of getting in on the ground floor to create a social site like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, etc.
Watch their sales pitch and you’ll see what I mean.
The guy’s got this kind of folksy way of talking, makes some gosh darn common sense statements.
Ahh, I’m starting to sound like him, sorry about that.
But give it a watch to get an idea as to how grabbing the IQ Konnect sales pitch is.
Video Removed: It Expired or was Removed from YouTube.
IQ Konnect is presented as a way for you, the little guy, to get involved into sharing the profits by helping launch this new social network.
The concept is, we all helped make social networks big and profitable, so we should all get our part in the profits.
And like I said, it’s a cool concept.
I’d be in hog heaven if Google or Facebook were cutting me a million dollar check every month.
Who wouldn’t.
IQ LIfe presents you an affiliate program to promote their social network IQ Konnect.
The goal is to build your network with new affiliates.
And your new affiliates will in turn, promote IQ Konnect as well.
And of course, they have a pyramid system. It compensates you on 9 levels (sounds like Level 9 Marketing, aye).
Here’s the pay structure they offer. Level 1 is the people that you recruit directly into IQ Konnect. Level 2 would be the people that are recruited from your Level 1 recruits, and so forth.
- Level 1: 10 cents per affiliate
- Level 2: $1.10 per affiliate
- Level 3 through Level 6: 15 cents per affiliate
- Level 7: $1.15 per affiliate
- Level 8: 65 cents per affiliate
- Level 9: $1.00 per affiliate
There are extra matching bonuses offered by IQ Konnect for keeping so many active paid affiliates in your down-line.
- 25% matching bonus for all those IQ Konnect affiliates that you directly enroll – if you have 3 active affiliates in your down-line
- And a 50% matching bonus – if you have six active affiliates in your down-line.
The luring aspect about IQ Konnect for most marketers or entrepreneurs is that you can look at this as a small investment opportunity. The cost is a mere $9.95/mo to be an affiliate.
So it seems like a nobrainer to get in on the ground floor of this new social platform. And there in lies the beauty of the scam. Kidding, but seriously it’s a scam. š

What’s Wrong With The IQ Connect Opportunity?
Well, there’s several things…
First off, it’s a Multi-Level Marketing program
I’m not saying MLM’s can’t work.
But for the majority of people who enter into MLM’s, DO NOT make much money at all.
They all have an extremely low success rate.
Here is the most prominent statement that you can find from the IQ Life Income Disclaimer.
If you watched the video earlier, the Presenter clearly states that IQ Konnect is NOT a Multilevel Marketing program.
But here in the IQ Life Income Disclaimer they refer to themselves as Network Marketing.
News Flash Friends:Ā Network Marketing is Multilevel Marketing and Pyramid Systems. (source)
Second, No Established Time to Launch
The launch for the IQ Konnect platform has already been delayed once to my knowledge. And there is no set date when it is expected to launch.
I assume they are waiting for enough people to sign up and pay Ā $9.95 so that they can fund the website construction, hire engineers, etc.
You’d hope that they would already have this done by now, wouldn’t you?
Or at least provide some sort of business plan as to when certain aspects of the social platform will be completed.
Either way, why would anyone invest in a company without a good business plan or a set schedule?
Because they’ve already sold you on the idea of earning huge dividends by getting into a “Facebook” like social platform. And all for the low investment price of $9.95/mo.
Third, What are You Investing In?
The only thing we know is that IQ Konnect comes from IQ Life which originally came from a failing MLM App company called Level 9 Marketing.
They have a website called IQKonnect.com that is a landing page.
There is no useful information about the company, social network structure, or website designs.
All you hear from those that promote IQ Konnect is that it’s going to be the next Facebook.
Come on, please, that is an unfounded statement that is impossible to say. The reality is we don’t know anything about the social platform or if anyone will even like it.
Lastly, Don’t Assume IQ Konnect Will be Successful:
We’re assuming IQ Konnect is going to be successful, right? That it will attain success as Facebook and other giant moguls in the social industry have.
But it may take as long as 5 years.
That’s 5 years that IQ Life will get their marketers to pay their affiliate marketing payments.
You can rationalize this due to the low cost of the program.
$600 dollars over 5 years for an investment that could pay off big time.
I don’t think so.
People love their social networks, but the social network has to provide something of value in order to join them. And again, we don’t know anything about what IQ Konnect offers. Back to the third negative reason.
Here’s a better question.
Would Facebook have been successful if it was run as a multilevel marketing social network?
I can almost guarantee that it would have failed. People enter social networks for social reasons, not for multilevel marketing. If you agree or disagree, please let me know in the comments section below.
Break Free From The 9-5 & Live Life On Your Terms: Here’s How >>
Summary Of IQ Konnect:
IQ Life is supposedly launching IQ Konnect, a social site that we know nothing about.
They use a MLM strategy to bring people into this system to promote the social network. Something that is very unsocial and comes off as unnatural.
We have no clue as to when, if ever, this website will launch.
IQ Life comes from a company called Level 9 Marketing, a multilevel marketing company that failed within their first year to brake into the App Industry.
And, MLM’s in general are just a lot of work for very little money.
You’d be better off investing in a real affiliate marketing or niche website business that can make substantial monthly income as well as turn into a long term business.
So if you really want to invest in something, invest in yourself.
Don’t just throw it away on IQ Life’s MLM social platform.
It will never happen in my opinion.
I hope for those that have spent hours and money on this program that it will pay off for you. But it’s not for me.
Personally, I think most people use social networks for social reasons.
Obviously marketers use social networks to market their products and advertise.
But most people just want to be able to keep in touch with friends and family.
The other thing is that once people find social networks that they like or are comfortable with, they don’t want to change to a new social network.
It’s like finding a good bank to work with or an email company.
Once you’re happy using them, there’s no reason to change.
If you want to really make money online, learn to create an online business that has the potential to really launch.
And you can learn how to do by clicking the link below!
Where are the stats for all business? You show stats on how many fail in the MLM world. I would ask how many of those maintained focus and dedicated themselves to growing the business. 90 to 95% of restaurants fail in the first year as well. But new successful ones pop up every day. How many affiliates start and fail and how many millions of blogs never make it? This article claims over 90%.
I can tell you I joined 6 Network Marketing companies and I didn’t try hard at all. I would be lumped into the failure rate. Not because it doesn’t work but because I didn’t put forth effort. So many that join network marketing don’t put forth the effort. They start with friend and family and then it ends. Most successful business if they had listened to their friends and family would never have made it. Most friends and family say you are crazy you should get a job.
Well that is the exact reason many of them are not good prospects for network marketing and why you should not stop there when starting any business. That is where most people stop. You also know that that majority of the world cannot take a “No”. You also know when they don’t make money if the first month they drop anything.
You also know it took Facebook 6 years before it made any money. I mean these facts need to be presented. Amway is the largest I think and its a 12 billion dollars company. You got any affiliates companies earning that kind of money just off their affiliates? Sorry I think we this article is being a little general and not admitting to the failure of all industries car sales, insurance and so on. I’ve done both and failed at them as well. This is something I found that needs shared as well. 70% of the people that join an MLM Drop out that is different than failing. So that means the failure rate is actually 25%. Along with that most MLM’s offer you money back guarantees. So try it for a few months and then get your money back. Most legit ones offer that. For more details check this article out that breaks down these flawed statistics. LINK REMOVED
You make some excellent points Brian and most people do quit if they don’t get that financial reward right away.
I’ll admit, I’m not the biggest fan of MLM’s because usually their products aren’t good, they hype everyone up on how easy it is to make money with them, and they never work for most people. But you make some good points as to why they don’t work for most people.
At the same time, any business, offline or online requires a good amount of work, especially when you are just getting started. The reason I promote affiliate marketing, building websites, eCommerce, selling on sites like Amazon, or even building your own digital products is because they are based on selling something of value or building a business around something that one is passionate about.
If the MLM has awesome products, then that’s great, if their products help people, even better.
Thanks for your feedback and experience,
Todd
I wanted to figure out what is IQ Life and IQ Konnect and I found out. Another MLM that promotes it’s own social network. I read your review and I would agree that nobody wants to sign up for social networks under the guise of multilevel marketing.
What a crock. People go to Facebook and Twitter to meet friends, hook up with the girls/guys, not to market crap products to each other.
Anyways, great review on IQ Konnect, what a wast of $10 dollars/mo. What won’t desperate people believe in?
Murray
Hey Murray,
I would agree that the driving force behind social networks is the social aspect. I also think that once sites become full of advertisements is when they start loosing popularity.
I would never join a MLM social network site like IQ Konnect and I don’t think the background of IQ Life is financially stable. But hey, you got to love the effort and creativity they put into their sales video.
Best of luck to you Murray and thanks for your take on my review.
Todd
Simply put, your review seems dead on to me. Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest take off for a reason and it’s not for multi-level marketing.
Enjoyed reading your review and I wouldn’t waste my 10 dollars a month on IQ Life or IQ Konnect either.
Thanks for the review.
Hi Modesta,
Thanks for you comment on my review of IQ Life/IQ Konnect. There’s several of these multi-level marketing/social sites going around. My guess is that they’ll never get very far and in a year nobody will have ever remembered them. Maybe they won’t even worry about the 120/year loss.
But for the same amount of money, you could get 4 months of the best education on internet marketing and have a website that is starting to produce you some income. And as you continue to work on your niche affiliate site, you will see your dividends grow.
How large? Well, that depends on how much work and effort you’re willing to put into it.
Personally, I would rather rely on myself to build online income than hope for a social site to take off that is based on MLM concepts.
Have a great day and thanks for your comment,
Todd
Think what you like… but the social site is real… I’m currently using it and it’s pretty cool. You can’t see it, or use it until you join. Scams are defined as taking your money and offering nothing but promises, but I can tell you that I use the IQ site every day… and it’s unlike nothing you have seen yet. It offers many options that are just not a part of other social sites. So, although a release date to the public, has not yet been determined, it will be released fairy soon. The site is being tested by all of us that have joined, and it’s pretty stable, with few problems…. and they are working on bringing in several new features before it’s released to the public. When that happens, it will be FREE TO IT’S USERS. So before you judge, you should join and EXPERIENCE it first hand. You can quite at any time.
Hi Mike,
Thanks for your comment and you make some great points. If IQ Konnect is a real program that is going to make it, that’s awesome. The idea is super cool I must say. At the same time, I’ve seen so many online scams that make me question the integrity of the company.
They have already failed in the app world, there’s little information besides the infomercial that sells you. I’m playing devils advocate as always. And I don’t believe that people want to sign up to social sites like Facebook if there’s an underlining multi-level marketing theme behind it.
There are a lot of these types of sites already, they have the same sales pitch. And most fail. Sites that create value succeed. And if IQ Konnect has value, it will do great and I’ll be kicking myself for not joining.
But what is really going to be your share of profits for investing 10 bucks a month. It’s a scam Mike, you can keep believing in it or you can really create your own online business. Something that you have control over. What’s your choice? Believe in a company that doesn’t provide much info besides an infomercial, or be proactive and build your own business?
If you believe in IQ Life/IQ Konnect, then do both. Get a proper online education on internet marketing and website development and invest your $10 dollars per month in IQ Life and in two years come back and tell me what was a better investment.
You can get started for free and check out the program right here. Work, dedication, and passion win out in the long run, but are never popular to start. Easy money, making big profits off of multi-level marketing programs, etc is not my thing. I hope you’re right and I wish the best success in whatever you do.
Thanks,
Todd
Coolest thing I have came across for some time, where have I been?
iQLife must be an awsome start up company because they are getting a lot of publicity! This is got to be the next big phase in social media. Remember these other social media company’s came along after facebook and did well. I’m pretty sure when they launched there was a lot of criticizers. Why not iQLife/iQKonnect? They can do it too!!!!
If they do it, great. My hat goes off to them. But I would need more information than what IQ Life/IQ Konnect provide before I go investing in their company. The thing that puts me off most about IQ Life is that it’s a MLM. And I don’t feel anyone wants to join a social network that is based on MLM principles. It just screams scam to me. We all want to believe in hope, and I think that’s awesome. But look at the facts. This program has gained momentum based on their infomercial, not on facts. Thanks for your comment dwightbaseball.
Best,
Todd
Is anyone here actually a member of iQLife? Hype aside, from a practical perspective, ANY “startup” will take a long time. Imagine how long it would take someone to build an international platform such as this. It took Mark Zuckerberg five years to gain recognition. I mean really, people, think about this for a minute before you dis them.
Hi Yeshe,
Thanks for your feedback on IQ Konnect and IQ Life. You are right, it does take a long time to develop and it does take tons of resources to launch a website like Facebook, Pinterest, etc. But you also have to trust the people who are building it and they are relying on you (as investor/marketers) to bring in users and your money. And we’ll see, maybe in 5 years IQ Konnect will be the next rave. But it has to offer something different and there is no information as to what it’s going to offer. So why would anyone want to invest in this. It’s all hype like you say.
Also, many of these social sites fail within the first year. So what happens after 5 years, and the owners of IQ Life/ IQ Konnect decide they don’t have the capital to make this work. All the investors/marketers will loose all the money they’ve put into the program.
The last point is the most important point about programs like IQ Konnect. They are relying on marketers to get others social site users to sign up underneath them. And this is just counter intuitive to people who use social sites for social purposes. Also, people don’t like to change social sites that much. They find something the like Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram and they stay with it.
Most people only want to have one site like Facebook, because it allows them to connect with old friends or current friends/family. After they find a site they are comfortable with, they stick with that site alone. People get feed up with constantly joining new social sites.
I hope I’m wrong and that you have all the success in the world. I’m sure if IQ Life/ IQ Konnect are real, you patience will be tried year after year. And hopefully the IQ Konnect site has something new and special to offer the world, otherwise it’s going down like most start-ups do.
Best,
Todd
This IQ life and konnect is unheard of to me since there are far too many programs that exist on the net today and it’s hard to keep track.
I also agree that money invested in ourselves is money well spent as long as we put into action what we are tought and work very hard.
Thanks for your views on this program, Todd.
I look forward to reading more from you š
Neil
P.S – Affiliate marketing and Wealthy Affiliate is the way to go š
Hi Neil,
Thanks for your feedback on my IQ Life/IQ Konnect review. I know what you mean with the vast amount of online programs out there. Everyone has the next greatest product out there.
My point is that rather than investing your time in a social media platform that doesn’t even exist, invest your time in creating a real online businesses. And I agree with you 100%, Wealthy Affiliate is the place to get your education in affiliate marketing and niche website creation.
Invest in something that has the chance to grow. I don’t believe people will join IQ Konnect as a social media platform. Not unless they have something to add to the social media world that isn’t already being dominated by…Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, Twitter, etc.
Have a great week and thanks for your comment.
Todd
I have always had a distaste for MLM schemes, and don’t trust any who bully you by suggesting that time is limited. Time is not limited and we must realize – if we don’t already – that most people and their websites are desperate to sell you something. Once bitten, actually dozens of times bitten = very shy about most offers!
Interesting article Todd, thanks!
Hi Rob,
Thanks for your feedback on my IQ Life review. It seems to be a constant truth that most of the online programs out there are scams.
That people can make money online and do it honestly. But you need to have a plan and an education. You can check out my Guide To Making Money Online to get a true understanding of how wealth is created online.
Take care,
Todd
I was just reminded of all the MLM companies and “business” opportunities like this and lets me know how grateful I am for affiliate marketing. I used to think MLM was the only way for me to work from home and be my own boss, but thank God for the internet, we now have more options. Thanks for sharing some valuable information, especially affiliate marketing.
– John
Hi John,
Thanks for your feedback. I feel the same with MLM’s for the most part. I think the problem with most people who want to seriously make money online just don’t know how to go about it. They don’t know about affiliate marketing or how to set up websites properly.
That’s where you just need to get a good education. Universities are starting to teach Internet Marketing and Affiliate Marketing, but the issues with Universities is the cost, and how well do you know who is teaching you. Are the university teachers also skilled successful online marketers. I would highly doubt it.
Wealthy Affiliate offers a university level course for affiliate marketing, website creation, and online business development for a fraction of what universities charge.
Plus you get successful marketers that are teaching the courses.
Thanks again John for your feedback on the review.
Take care,
Todd
I Agree with your review Todd. To many companies launch before they have a product available and people buy into the hype.
Thanks James for your comment. Yes, maybe that’s the strategy of IQ Life/IQ Konnect. Build up the hype, sell people on the idea, and never provide a plan. That way no one can critique your business plan.
I like companies that show you how they are going to improve your life, and then they do it. People who want to make money online or an online business need training that the can full see and experience. That’s why support and recommend Wealthy Affiliate. I think of them as an extremely affordable (thank God) education.
Want to make money online, stop playing with the scams and get an education and build your business.
Cheers,
Todd

This happened with Organo Gold. At least this was one of the testimonial that was given how they began.
Hi Termius,
I hadn’t heard of the comparison of Organo Gold with IQ Life or IQ Konnect, but I did a quick search and found nothing but complaints against Orango Gold with in about 2 seconds.
Regarding IQ Life/IQ Konnect or any other these MLM social marketing launches that are taking place, they just don’t make much sense to me. Sure the ideas is cool and appealing, but when it comes down to it, nobody joins social sites for marketing purposes and most people (once the find a socials site or two) don’t really want to change because they have their established friends there and so forth.
Cool idea, but not going to work in my opinion. For those that are interested in creating online income on a consistent basis, I recommend working with Wealthy Affiliate or Clickbank University (depending on what kind of online biz you want to start).
Thanks for your feedback on my review of IQ Life/IQ Konnect.
Cheers,
Todd
I’m not a fan of MLM at all. I’m really not a fan of just launched online business opportunities. I agree when you said, you don’t know what you’re really getting yourself into. The concept seems fun and nice, but I personally feel a lot of people haven’t bought into this concept because they use a social platform. A lot people don’t like to mix their personal life with their business life. One good point is that it’s not very expensive, but you never know what will happen down the road. Great Review!
Hi Evelyn,
Yeah, the concept that IQ Life presents is a fun and entertaining idea. But I’m with you, I just don’t think that people want to mix their social lives with their business.
I was reading an article the other day about social sites. And out of all the sites, the site used most for personal relationships was still Facebook. My issue with IQ Life and IQ Connect is that they have not supplied “investors” or their marketers with any information on what the site is going to be like.
Is they’re going to be IQ games, or are people going to be matched up by their IQ, maybe interests. What special features do they bring to the table. So far, they haven’t told their sales reps or marketers (whatever you want to call them) about their plan. Which makes me believe it’s a drawn out scam just getting as much money as they can before the jump ship.
Thanks for your kind remarks and I appreciate your point of view.
Todd
And this is how YOU do business; bash one company to promote your own. I don’t think so. I didn’t even click on your link. By the way, I joined “IQLife” fully aware of all of your “fine points”. Anyone with half a brain knows getting involved in any start-up is a huge risk. I liked the concept then and I like it now. What’s $9.95 a month; one meal at a fast food restaurant that I don’t need.
Hi Linda,
The purpose of this site, Learn To Grow Wealth Online, is to help educate people on a number of things – how to build online businesses, websites, understand affiliate marketing principles, and how to make money online and offline.
Part of this site functions as a review site to help people decipher honest online educational programs and online scams.
The point of this review is to show several flaws that I see as warning signs to the IQ Life/IQ Konnect investment opportunity.
And those flaws mostly revolve around not having enough information about the company or their business model, the fact that they recently changed their company name after failing in the App world with Level 9, and that I don’t believe social media and Multi=level marketing work together.
Linda, you are correct when you say that every business start-up is a risk. But that’s why people need to do their research. If a company goes into a bank for a loan, they have to show that bank their business plan. I’m guessing you haven’t received a business plan from IQ Life yet. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
The investment fee is small, and that’s what sells everyone. Who can’t afford skipping a fast food meal to invest in a potential social media giant? But if IQ Konnect doesn’t succeed and people don’t want to join the social site, what happens to your money? Food for thought.
I believe in investing in organizations that I can fully investigate, and IQ Life is not one of them.
Best,
Todd
