What is MineNaira?
MineNaira "Time is Money" is a free platform that pays members for a wide variety of tasks, but mostly remaining active on the site and watching advertisements. It's one of those auto-surf websites that pay a few cents for each watched ad or interaction.
Here's what you need to know:
MineNaira is based in Nigera, meaning their currency is Nigerian Dollars.
$1 USD = 360 Nigerian Dollars (at the current exchange rate).
They claim all you have to is leave the window open on you computer and you'll be paid for every minute of active time. But does it really work?
It's probably obvious you won't be able to make much money with MineNaira. Could you make a few dollars here and there, though?
The great thing about this platform is it's free, so there's no harm in trying it out. Just use a separate email address because they're likely to send you a lot of offers. I went ahead and made an account, to save you the hassle.
Let's take a look.
Making Money with MineNaira:
As soon as you create a free account, you're rewarded with 500 Nigerian Dollars which is about $1.38 USD. Once inside, there are a number of ways to earn cash, but the most popular one is a big red button labeled "Start Mining Cash".
Mining Cash:

Once you click the button, a new window will open, and some sites will be displayed for a certain amount of time, and then the page will redirect to a new site. Basically simulating traffic on a website. All you have to do is wait for the countdown to finish and collect your reward.
I let the browser run for a bit, and earned a few Nigerian Dollars. Just keep in mind, as mentioned earlier, this is a Nigeria-based website, therefore the rewards are considerably low because the cost of living is lower too.
One Nigerian Dollar (NGN) is equal to about $0.0028 U.S dollars. That's not even a cent. But I do like how the balance is automatically added to your account and you don't have to jump through hoops and sign-up to other sites to get paid.
So it does, actually, work as promised. You click "Start Mining" and the browser takes over, and you earn a 1 NGN for each website your browser visits. It's not much money, but it does work, so no issues there.
At least it's not one of those Forex Trading scams where you have to deposit hundreds of dollars to "Activate" their free bot.
Completing Jobs with MineNaira:
Another way to make money with MineNaira is by completing jobs which are essentially small tasks, similar to the ones found on other survey platform sites. These jobs pay much higher than auto-surfing but they require more effort on your part. Most are fairly simple.
The following are some examples of tasks you can complete:
- Subscribe to a YouTube Channel - $300 NGN
- Download and Install an App - $500 NGN
- Promote MineNaira (Discussed Below)
As far as tasks go, MineNaira does not offer a lot of tasks or surveys to complete. Maybe it's different depending on your country, but I only had 3 offers in the Jobs section.

Marketing MineNaira:
If you want to make a bit more cash, then you can choose to follow MineNaira's promotion tasks.
These tasks are simple marketing techniques, such as: make a promo-video for MineNaira and upload it to YouTube, write a blog-post, or share a promo-image on your Facebook profile. You're rewarded with VIP membership if you choose to complete these tasks.

Naturally, MineNaira offers an affiliate program, where you can make money by collecting referrals. The platform is free and the sign-up requirements are low, so collecting referrals is not too hard.
Affiliate marketing is awesome! Read this post to learn how affiliate marketing works for anyone.
You can earn 5% of your referrals earnings, if they have a regular membership. If they sign-up to VIP you earn 10% of their earnings.
For example, if someone signs up under you and starts the "Cash Mining" feature you will earn 5% of 1 NGN which is 0.2 NGN for each website they visit. Convert that to USD and you get 0.00055 USD. These are fractions of a cent we're talking about.
But still, if you have 100 referrals, and they all do a bit of browsing everyday, that can be a few extra dollars for you. The requirements are low, so it's not hard to refer friends.
Hang on a second.
Withdrawing Cash:
MineNaira offers a couple pay-out options: Direct Bank Transfer and PayPal. The Bank Transfer option is only for local Nigerians, while PayPal is for international users. While on this page, I noticed a couple of alarming red-flags.

For one, the withdrawal fee is 60% of your earnings. Really? They already pay in fractions of cents, and now they want to charge more than half of my earnings as a fee?
That's quite a lot. I assume PayPal has their own transaction fees too, so the total you get in your account is much less than what you earned on the site.
Secondly, the minimum withdrawal amount is 20,000 NGN ($55 USD) but remember 60% of this will be cut out as a fee. So if you earn 20,000 you'll only receive about 12,000 NGN ($33 USD). Keep that in mind.
Payment processing time varies too, they give a window of 1 to 30 days. There's no saying for sure when the payment will be processed.
Though the auto-surf thing is easy and you can leave it on all day, the withdrawal fees and payment processing time are not great.
MineNaira Pros:
1. Auto-Surfing:
I like the auto-surfing - it's not an original idea - but it works as promised. You leave the site open, it visits pages for you, and you earn some cash. Simple and easy. Granted the amount you earn is really low but it does work.
2. It's Free:
As mentioned before, it's a free platform, and the requirements to join are only an email and password. Very easy to create an account. Therefore, it would be easy to promote as an affiliate as well.
The Cons with MineNaira:
So of course we've got some cons with this company.
1. Crazy-High Withdrawal Fees:
I know most companies need to charge some sort of withdrawal fee, but more than half my earnings is far too much.
It must be a huge disappointment for people who are excited about how much they earned only to have more than half taken away. That's why it's always a good idea to research these things before you start working for a platform!

2. Crazy-Low Earnings:
Yes, the cost of living in Nigeria is much lower than United States, but the rewards are still low for Nigerian standards. It's not even pocket change.
To me, the only way to make any kind of cash is to mass-promote the site, and collect hundreds of referrals so you can earn from their earnings. But that takes time, and I'm not sure if the result is worth the effort.

Is MineNaira a Scam?
If you read this far, chances are you know what I'm going to say here. I think MineNaira is not a scam. They do reward members for work or auto-surfing and they do process payments, though it can take up to 30 days.
Overall, I know Nigeria is the land of the Nigerian prince and his uncollected inheritance, but overall I don't think MineNaira falls under the scam category. It does work. Just don't expect any significant earnings.
A Much Better Alternative:
Generally, I don't recommend these kind of sites unless the pay is reasonable. Most of them only offers cents for small-tasks; not even enough to buy a coffee once a week. From my experience, there are three major ways to make money online, but my number one recommended program is below. Hit the link to learn more.
Thanks for taking the time to read this MineNaira review. Hopefully now you know what is MineNaira and their cash mining feature. Leave a comment if you have any questions.
Thanks for this review, please which site can you recommend for me to make money online that really pay
I like Survey Junkie Mko. But the reality is that if you want to make good money online, you’re better off creating your own niche website or online business.
Task based sites will only leave you disappointed. OH, here’s a new site that we reviewed that you could look at called Fun X.
But if you’re serious about building a long term online business that pays you ever single day, then you can sign up to our Free Affiliate Marketing Training Series and see what it’s all about before spending any money.
Best,
Todd
