What is Power Seller’s Center?
The purpose of this product is to teach people how to expand their eBay businesses and become a power seller on eBay as fast as possible.
The coaches are supposed to call you about 4 times a week to assist you with your training and make sure that you’re making progress. Unfortunately, each call is only about 5 minutes.
Taking a look at their website, I noticed that there were a lot of pages that I couldn’t access.
Every-time I click on a link I received a “This webpage is not available” error. It seems like whoever is behind this company decided to stop maintaining the website.
So I took to the internet to find more information. According to their BBB page, this company has been around since 2011 and has not received any negative reviews or complaints. But there are plenty of other websites that have published negative reviews.
Let’s take a closer look…
Power Seller’s Center Features:
- List of product suppliers (over 7,000)
- Lifetime eBay consultations
- Over 4 Marketing Tools
- In-depth Power Seller Curriculum
- Free SEO Analysis
- Free Search Engine and Article Directory Submission
The above features are advertised on the website’s homepage, the idea is to make it easier to link distributors with product suppliers.
As it turns out, there are plenty of free ways to do this, and there is really no need to invest thousands of dollars to access training material that you can find online for free.
This product claims to provide you with a database of over 7,000 wholesale product suppliers, but most of the companies are already on Alibaba.

All you have to do is head over to Alibaba and you will be able to find suppliers for pretty much everything that is being sold on eBay.
It’s also free to use.
You can also find similar manufacturer websites from a simple Google search.
So, in my opinion, this aspect of Power Seller’s Center is not worth it, all of the information can be found online for free.
Even YouTube has plenty of in-depth videos about how to create a successful online eCommerce business.

Power Seller’s Center has two main courses:
- Marketing and Advertising
- eBay a Web Business.
When I clicked on the links for more details I was hit with a “Page not found” error. There doesn’t seem to be much information about these courses online, it seems like the website is a little outdated and inactive.
Still, I don’t think it’s necessary to fork over cash for training material that is abundant and free on other websites. Even eBay has guides dedicated to becoming a Power Seller, so there is no lack of information regarding this topic.
What I Didn’t Like:
There’s a lot of complaints about this company, there are plenty of people who claim that they lost thousands of dollars to this company and never managed to receive a refund.
Check out this court case, where a user was suing Power Seller Center for false promises.
I also personally had a friend from Learn To Grow Wealth Online’s Facebook page that asked me to expose these guys.
Here were his exact words to me about Power Sellers Center….
Hey Todd, I got talked into Power Sellers Center and that’s one you should get the word out on your site, talk about a scam. They have changed there name many times and once you sign up you can’t get your money back no matter what, they got me for 9,000 dollars. Please inform your readers of this scam before they screw over other unsuspecting people.
So in addition to the poorly made website, the numerous fraud complaints, and the fact that they’re charging an arm and a leg for information that can easily be found for free, what else is wrong with this product?
I would say that the coaching system needs improvement, five minutes is not long enough to discuss important issues or create a strategy for the future.
When you hand over the payment, the company promises that you will make it all back within a month, and of course, that rarely happens, and refunds are practically impossible.

Conclusion on Power Seller’s Center:
All in all, I seriously suggest that you keep your distance from this company, don’t let their sales team convince you to sign-up with false promises.
If you want a structured program to learn how to create a business with eBay or Amazon, there’s one program I do recommend, Amazing Selling Machine (click the link to read my review of his program).
This program has been creating power sellers on Amazon for years.
They’ve created so much helpful information that’s given to the students systematically.
Plus, they’ve got excellent community support and videos to walk you through every move.
You’re chances of success are much better.
I know that e-commerce businesses can be very profitable, but you have to be cautious, and don’t throw all your money at a product right off the bat, keep it slow.
Find what sells, then invest in stock.
Alternatively, affiliate marketing is another route you can take, it’s easier, and you don’t need to worry about dealing with suppliers, buying inventory or shipping products.

Affiliate marketing is a great long term business model with huge passive income potential.
You need to put in some initial effort, but you can create a sustainable online business.

Dear Todd,
thank you for your honest assessment of Power Seller’s Center. Unfortunately, I was naive and committed most of my saving to this program. I am on a monthly payment plan. I read about a woman who closed her bank account to stop them from withdrawing money from her account. I want to do this too. What are the chances that they would try to sue me? We are talking about $3000.00 (not counting the drop shipper and the LLC that they made me apply for)
Hi Pam,
I’m sorry to hear of your situation. I think you need to ask a lawyer, that of which I am not.
I would think they could come after you in small claims court but who know if they would. I would think that Power Sellers Center would have a heart and just let it go, but I’d ask an attorney. Spend the extra $50 to ask a professional.
I’m sure if you call around you can find the right attorney and see what they say. I’ve done this with real estate, but never online businesses.
In a year with Wealthy Affiliate, you would have spent 360 usd’s on their membership and could have a fully functional online business.
You have to build it out and work your niche, but that’s the same in any online business. The big difference for me is my online buiness cost under $3/day and makes fulltime income. You can do it too.
If you still have online ambitions, come back, forget the past or reconcile and start building.

I was taken by Power Sellers Center as well. I’m not one to just “sign up” for anything…..they are pretty good on the phone in getting you to commit right away by such tactics as “you are a entrepreneur, right? Well then you know a good thing when you see it” People who are smart know right away what they want, etc.
I’m on the verge of retirement and sunk a good chunk of my retirement into this business, thinking it would help provide funds in retirement.
When on coaching calls I would tell her my concerns and she would come back saying I didn’t want to work; which is not the case at all. Thanks for getting the word out on Power Sellers Center. I just wish the BBB would uncover them; that was one of the sites I checked while talking with this guy and they have no bad rap on them.
Hi Kathy,
Thanks for your feedback on your experience with Power Sellers Center, and it’s great to know our review is helping others avoid this online trap. Your comment will help this too!
If you’re willing to work at it, Wealthy Affiliate has all the tools and resources to teach you to be successful online, and if you want a boost on your site from the start, meaning someone who can professionally set up your site, write content, add photos, do all the SEO, then check out our review of Human Proof Designs.
I’d still go through Wealthy Affiliate’s educational program so that you will understand SEO, editing, writing sales based content. I hire out content at times, but I always have the final edit and market my content.
Best of luck to you and I’m sorry to hear about your losses from working with Power Sellers Center. At least you now know where to go if you are serious about building a true online business, one that makes me passive income every day and groes monthly as I continue to build content.
And if you want to know how long it takes, READ THIS POST!!!
Cheers,
Todd
The fact that Power Seller’s ads always rank higher in eBay’s search results, indeed, can entice some people like me to open an account with them.
Thank you for your highly informative review of Power Sellers Center. Also, for pointing out that there are plenty of free ways to create ads. Considering, nowadays, there are so many scam programs out there, it’s actually refreshing to know I can access the same training material for free online.
Hi Zegu,
Yeah, you want to stay away Power Sellers Center. There is free training for most anything online. But most of can be a complete waste of time.
I think programs that streamline the process and shorten the learning curve really make the difference in online success versus online failure and frustration.
If you want to put up a successful low risk niche based websites that can grow into a incredibly successful long term online business, this is the training for you.
If you want to import products and sell them on Amazon or eBay, then this is the top recommended training in terms of cost and value.
Thanks,
Todd
Thanks for the review man. I probably wouldn’t have signed up for the power sellers center or whatever (just because I don’t really have any money LOL) but its nice to know people like you are exposing them.
Ill have to read your review on wealthy affiliate when I get a chance. Have you had any success with it?
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your feedback on Power Sellers Center, good to hear.
I’ve had a ton of success working with Wealthy Affiliate. And as every day goes by, my online business grows in terms of revenue, traffic, and it’s a really awesome thing.
Any business, online or offline, is going to take the investment of time. But with an online business, you have very little financial investment (maybe $70/mo). It will require you to gain skills and learn new things, but that’s a good thing, right…
If you’re serious about putting together a successful (long term) online business that can eventually turn into a passive income source, you’re going to want to check out Wealthy Affiliate. I’ve been learning from them for almost 2 years now. They’re just such a great resource for anyone who works online.
Thanks,
Todd
Hi Todd, nice work on the Power Sellers Center review. Looks like you’ve uncovered a scam business to stay away from. Seems as though affiliate marketing is a much better option than buying to resell on Ebay or etc. Too much price competition and exposure. Please continue to stay on top of this as people need your services. Thanks.
Hi Bill,
Thanks for your feedback on Power Sellers Center. You also make some good points about low margins selling on eBay or Amazon.
Affiliate marketing and niche websites can be incredibly successful if you can take the time and build your online business. If you can do this, there’s amazing income potential in affiliate marketing. It’s the old saying, work smarter not harder.
There’s nothing like getting paid time and time again for the work your did yesterday.
Best,
Todd
Rather interesting review on the Power Sellers Center program. It certainly sounds like they get the membership fee and then do not deliver as promised. I really cannot see how a 5-minute phone call could provide any actual training.
How much is the membership fee? Is it a one time fee or by subscription. Certainly sounds like a program I would stay a long ways away from.
Hi Ellen, there are many programs like power sellers center that teach some aspects of Internet marketing. But when looking at online educational programs that help you create an online business, I’d stick to a proven system.
That system is Wealthy Affiliate, if you really are determined to build a successful (long-term) online business, then go with these guys.
My goal was to find a way to make passive income through on my business, and that’s what Wealthy Affiliate teaches.
Thanks,
Todd
I have seen Power Sellers Center come up in my own searches for info on making money online. Interesting. It is so scary and sad to think so many lost money. And that’s not pocket change!
I love sites like yours that expose crooks for what they are! It is such and important message to be careful who you trust with your money.
In my experience, most credible online companies will let try them out on a free trial membership or money back guarantee.
Great read on Power Sellers Center, very thorough! Thank you!
You bet Heather, and thanks for your feedback on our site and our Power Sellers Center review. Much appreciated.
And yes, if you really look at most online companies or services, there’s a free trial usually. This is a hallmark sign of scams versus real companies.
Best,
Todd
Great post on Power Sellers Center. I remember buying from eBay back in the early days when it was new. I also liked to sell odd things from time to time. The trust profile that you built up made it easier to sell for a good price because buyers could see (and they still can) that you are trustworthy.
I do think now though that eBay is all about finding a way to wholesale items. If you are looking at buying stuff in today’s market, it’s unlikely that you will be able to sell it at retail. It’s become so competitive!
I also would say that you don’t need the training from Power Sellers Center, I used Skip McGrath’s training’s, that you recommend, from time to time when I needed help and they worked great.
Thanks Doug for your feedback on our Power Sellers Center review, hopefully we’ll get our message out to more readers so they don’t get taken advantage by this scam. And thank you for your testimony about the work of Skip McGrath, I used his site too when I drop-shipped on Amazon.
I also completely agree that one needs to set up a strong profile with lots of positive feedback. That can really make or break your online business selling on eBay or Amazon/Etsy/etc.
Thanks,
Todd
Hi Todd,
I think your Facebook friend was right to bring Power Sellers Center to your attention. He says he lost $9000 to this program and I had a look at the court case you mentioned and she lost $10,500. I just wonder what they were promised for an equivalent amount of money. I suppose they were tricked by a phone salesman to part with these sums. People shouldn’t give their phone number when they sign up to a make money online program.
A program that provides information you can find for free and that has many links to pages that don’t exist, can’t really be taken seriously.
You give a good alternative for anyone who wants to become a Power Seller, although like you I prefer affiliate marketing.
Great post as always, and thanks for the warning.
All the best,
Peter
Hi Peter, thanks for your kind feedback on our Power Sellers Center Review. I really think that the biggest value to these reviews is to expose scams and inadequate training programs.
People want to learn how to make real money online either from selling products on eBay/Amazon or on their own site and I hope that this post will at least reach those that want the facts.
Power Sellers Center is just another online scam that hopefully won’t take advantage of other people like my Facebook friend. It was nice though, after I posted the review, he sent me an email thanking me for getting the word out on Power Sellers Center – so that’s cool.
Cheers,
Todd
Excellent post on “Power Sellers Center!” Todd you’ve done a good job exposing this program’s weakness. The fact that they offer pages which you cannot access is a red flag for me. By comparison, Wealthy Affiliate’s is an excellent program with no high powered selling techniques.
Just honest straight forward answers with the ability to make money online. All the tools you need to build your business is at your disposal at Wealthy Affiliate University! Again, thank you Todd for a most excellent read!
God bless,
Edward Mijarez
Thanks Ed, I’m glad you enjoyed our Power Sellers Center review. Just trying to guide people who are serious about making money online to an appropriate source to learn those skills.
It can be difficult in this day in age with so many shabby training programs and down right scams.
Take care and thanks for your comment.
Todd
Excellent post on Power sellers center Todd!
I have to say that you do a great job with your research and exposing these products for what they are… scams!
The first red light while reading this was about all the pages that come up with the “this website is not available error”.
That would be a huge warning for me!
It sounds like there are a lot of complaints about this one as well.
Power sellers center sure sounds like a scam to me, and I certainly won’t be wasting my time with it!
~John
Good day John,
Thanks for your feedback on our Power Sellers Center review. It’s not too hard to figure out that these guys are up to no good. I normally wouldn’t write a review on such a product that has had so many customer complaints, but I had a request to help others avoid this online pitfall, so hopefully it helps others who are looking for a real education to learn how to make money online.
Time and time again, people believe there is some fast track-push button system to make money online. But we know this isn’t the case. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you have to offer people something of value if you’re gong to make money online.
Whether that be a service, skill, product, if information, it’s no different than in the offline world, business is business.
For those that are serious about learning to build an online business, I recommend the Wealthy Affiliate Training Center to get started on the right path.
Thanks again John and have a great day,
Todd
