If you’re wondering, “What is Reverse Commissions?” then you came to the right place.
We’ll take a close look at this product and see if it’s worth your time.
Reverse Commissions is a membership website that contains a collection of internet marketing training eBooks.
There’s also an affiliate program, which is the main reason people sign-up in the first place.
The product promises that you can earn up to $10,000 within a week if you participate in the tier-based referral system.
Is it possible, or just a bunch of hype?

So What Is Reverse Commissions?
To put it plainly, Reverse Commissions will NOT teach you how to make a business from scratch.
There are no secret exclusive strategies within the training material.
I’m sorry, but that’s the truth.
The product-line is very weak.
The main reason this product is so popular is because it promises members that they’ll be able to earn thousands of dollars with minimal effort.
That’s the real reason for its popularity!
How Does Reverse Commissions Work?
The system works much like any other multi-level marketing system but it’s based on exchanging cash gifts.
For example, to join the system, members can choose the amount they want to gift their sponsor, and the higher the amount, the more features are unlocked.
But this is basically another way of saying that you’re paying for membership!
For instance, if you choose to buy the Starter Package ($25/month) the cash will be sent directly to your sponsor and you’ll be able to access the products.
You’ll also need to “Pass Up” the second and fourth sale.

Low Value and Dependent On a Down-line..
Reverse Commissions products are simple courses on marketing and how to brand your website online.
In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re PLR eBooks that anyone can buy from a database.
The membership and commission system is based on Tiers, and you have to purchase membership for each tier in order to earn from people in those tiers.
For example, Tier 1 is the first membership (Starter Package) and you can choose to promote this package as an affiliate.
But if you recruit someone and they want to upgrade their account, to receive the commission for the upgrade, the same membership is required.
In other words, I need to be Tier 4 (the most expensive package, Elite $500/month) to unlock commissions from every tier.
Supposedly, there’s an unlimited income opportunity because your referrals will pass their second and fourth sale up the line to your account.
On the other hand, these systems rarely deliver on what they promise, and there are a lot of complications.
And as a promoter, that means you miss out on two sales, and that can be quite discouraging!
Reverse Commissions Memberships:
- Starter Package ($25/month)
- Basic ($110/month)
- Advanced ($275/month)
- Elite ($500/month)
Once again, the product line is rather weak, and there aren’t any products within these memberships that caught my attention. They all seem rather generic.
For example, the Starter Package includes a book called “Attraction Marketing” which sounds rather basic.
I don’t doubt that there is some useful information in these books, at least information that complete beginners will find useful, but I don’t think it’s worth handing over hundreds of dollars.
The same information can be found for free elsewhere, or if you really want to learn more about marketing there are some awesome books on Amazon for a few dollars.
Reverse Commissions is Basically a MLM Scheme
So as I mentioned, there are some products within the member’s area, but they’re really weak and lack real value.
Basically, Reverse Commissions is a MLM money-making scheme, and people sign-up only to participate in the scheme.
You’re told to buy a membership and then recruit as many people as possible so that you earn commissions.
In a short, tell them that they can make thousands of dollars with the system if only they hurry up and buy the most expensive membership!
On paper, the income plan is quite simple; all that is needed is to reach a certain amount of sales a week, and hope that they’ll recruit more for you.
If your referrals continue to steadily recruit people for you then you can be a millionaire in a few months. Maybe.
But things rarely work out so wonderfully, and chances are there will be more people leaving your team than people who are recruiting for you.
And most of the people that you recruit won’t know the first thing about marketing these opportunities.
That means you’ll have to teach them, and that takes time.
So on the surface, it looks like a solid program as long as you continue to recruit people and those people continue to recruit people too.

But it’s Really not that Simple..
For starters, most people can’t afford to spend $500/month on a questionable investment opportunity.
There are far too many scams out there, and people are catching on quick.
Most people will research the opportunity prior to creating an account as they should. Then they’ll find a lot of articles and videos claiming this system is a scam.
Do you really want to promote a system that everyone is saying is a scam?
It’s fighting an uphill battle.
Too much effort for too few results with Reverse Commissions.
Our Conclusion on Reverse Commissions:
Though a lot of companies do use the multi-level marketing system to promote their products, I think it’s better to avoid these systems, especially if you’re new to the scene.
Find a strategy that has been proven to work and follow it until you see results.
You will see results if you keep at it.
There’s no need to try and cut corners with these weak income opportunities like Reverse Commissions.

That’s not too complicated.
That’s a very simple online business template that so many people use to make money online.
It works.
It might seem a little daunting for people who never built a site before or haven’t the faintest clue how to drive traffic.
But actually creating a website is quite easy!

Please comment and socially share this post to help others prevent this oh so ordinary mlm scheme.
You have confused this for high-ticket-offers.
I’m not attached to these in anyway but this is actually a mid tier offer which the big marketers promote. They give genuine results as I know some people who are successful on it, who make others successful.
Hi Ash,
People can be successful selling anything, the question is does the product over value for what you pay for it. This where Revere Commissions and similar tiered system get caught up with other unethical programs.
The training is nothing special, but what you pay for the product is considered by most to be a ripoff.
Thanks,
Todd
Joined at the start, last December and support is horrible. They are quick to try to get you to go to the $500 level,, but when I had questions (after I signed up) nothing,, from no one. My upline who was SO eager to get me to go to the $500 level. would NOT respond to my texts, phone calls, Facebook messages, nothing. I posted my questions on multiple Facebook reverse commissions groups and no answer. I have not made a penny. My experience. Good luck
Your review was very informative on Multi-Level Marketing. It explained well how Reverse Commission restricts the amount of commission an affiliate can earn but it’s model depends too much on getting referrals rather than selling a quality training e book.
I almost signed up for something similar once but I am glad I looked up some reviews from people who did purchase these subscription plans.
It’s always good to take a few minutes and read reviews of any online program. There are so many poor quality training programs or outright scams.
Reverse Commissions is just another crappy mlm and I wouldn’t waste any time there.
Base your online training programs on what sort of value they provide. For that reason, I encourage you to read my review of my #1 ranked training program.
They are loaded with value that saves you time and money and shortens the process to make money online.
Best,
Todd
Thanks for the review on reverse commissions. There are so many scams out there which I have also unfortunately experienced so it is really helpful to understand how it works. I have been involved in wealthy affiliate though and definitely agree that it is a great community that will teach you so much to build a business. Cheers.
Thanks Daniel,
That’s great feedback on reverse commissions as well as Wealthy Affiliate.
As you explore Wealthy Affiliate more, you’ll realize it’s a pretty amazing resource.
I’ve been working with them for almost 3 years and it’s great to always have a place where you can learn new things that directly (and positively) affect your online business.
There’s no excuse not to succeed if you are willing to learn and take action.
It’s all in the education…
Best,
Todd
Hi there,
Thanks for pointing out this rather evident scam! for me so called training at $500/month is very questionable as is the “franchise” must buy product before you get the rights to sell it is a very huge turn off for me.
Can you tell me more about WA as I am eager and motivated to start an online business.
Hi Derek,
Thanks for your feedback on reverse commissions. It is pretty obvious, but still amazing that people are searching this company out as a way to make money online.
As for wealthy affiliate, they are my number one recommendation for a good reason. Any online entrepreneur, regardless of skill level, should be working with wealthy affiliate.
Not only do they have a simple system that anyone can follow to build an online business, they are constantly updating their educational system to improve your long-term online success.
From search engine optimization, keyword research, website development, social media, to email marketing, etc., these guys have got a one stop shop for online business.

Whenever I see a two-up system like this, I immediately assume it’s a pyramid scheme. Couple that with the high membership fees, lack of a quality product, and the focus on recruiting, and reverse commissions is clearly a scam you want to stay far, far away from.
Thanks for the review, and thanks for helping keep people away from this junk.
Absolutely Joshua,
Great points and it’s clear that when you evaluate an online training program that you need to focus on a few of these points you mention.
There are some internet marketing training programs that teach genuine IM skills, but many of them do have up-sells and these also should be evaluated based on this criteria.
Reverse Commissions is obviously a poor choice and I hope I help those out that are looking for real online income.
The best internet marketing training program where the focus is on training and there is NO UPSELLS is Wealthy Affiliate.
For those who are serious about online business, for whatever you want to promote online, Wealthy Affiliate is the way to go.
Best,
Todd
Hi Todd, This “Reverse Commissions” thing sure has “that smell” to it. These sorts of “gifting” schemes have been around for decades. Not too far removed from the $5 pyramid schemes. The only thing that’s changed is technology.
These scams thrive because people just want to get rich quick and not put in real work!
There are so many legitimate ways to earn a good income online. One just has to be willing to do the work and be patient with it.
Best, Oren
That couldn’t be better stated Oren. Patience and hard work are virtues that can create mountains. I love my online business. It was hard for me personally to work at something and not see rewards.
But that’s just how any real education and career is, it takes time. Go through 4 – 12 years of college or work at on an online business for a year and then start seeing consistent income.
I think it’s a really awesome option for people. It’s an open field in my mind, only dependent on your imagination and thoughts.
Thanks for your feedback on Reverse Commissions as well. Yeah, pretty week product. Those that are serious about creating residual online income, get connected with WA.
That’s what I did, worked like a charm. You just got to be willing to learn and work at it.
Best,
Todd
Hello Todd,
The basic principle of having a real, genuine value has to be in any business. The reason I give this remark is because I am against the statement you made on the product being less valuable. Well, we are on the same side, having the same opinion. It seems like the concept here does not give the importance of customers, rather, prioritizing the buyer’s personal interest as a starter as a Tier 4 member.
Hi Tar,
Maybe you misread a part of my reverse Commissions review or misunderstood my vernacular.
Either way, I don’t think there is any value in this program, and the push is to have every member start out at the highest tier.
Reverse Commissions is like most mlm’s in the fact that the push is on buying as much product and then selling others on the system.
I’ve only see a few mlm’s that offer real value in the form of products or services, and reverse commissions isn’t one of them.
Thanks for your feedback,
Todd
