Wondering What is Solo Build It? Is Solo Build It a scam or one of the best place to learn online business?
In this review, I’ll do my best to answer those questions as honestly as I can.
Remember, this is an unbiased review, and completely opinion based.
Solo Build It is an all-in one online business training course that has been around for more than twenty years.
I have been hearing a lot of positive things about the company, so I grabbed their course (since they do offer 90 day money-back guarantee).
Once inside, I spotted a few things I loved (and also some I didn’t) and decided to write this Solo Build It review.
Solo Build It Review
Product Name: Solo Build It
Product Type: Online Business Training
Price: $29.99/month with a 90 day money-back guarantee.
Best For: Those looking to start an online business.
Rating: 90/100
Summary: Solo Build It is not a scam. It’s a solid internet marketing training course and contains a lot of value for the cost. Some of the cons we experienced are more user experience related (see below).
All in all, it’s a great course, but not the best training out there to create your own online business (in my opinion).
Recommended: Yes.

Although I recommend Solo Build It, it’s not My Top Recommended Training Program. Feel free to take a look at both recommendations and see which one is best for you.
What is Solo Build It?
Solo Build It (SBI) is a full online training course that takes you from niche selection to website design and earning cash online.
Essentially, its a membership site that walks you through all the steps needed to build a successful online business.
Once you create an account you’ll start your training from Day One…
This is the snapshot from the beginning of the training material. The lessons span a course of ten days, the first five are dedicated to building the foundation of your business.
There is a progress meter at the top of each page so you know where you are in the training course.
Before you begin, there is the option to watch the training or read it.
When you choose to read the material, the lessons will be in one single-page, and you’ll need to scroll down.
At the end of each lesson there is a check-list that you should complete before proceeding to the next lesson.
I liked the formula.
Solo Build It Recommends: CTPM:
- C for Content
- T for Traffic
- P for Pre-Sale
- M for Monetize
Its an interesting formula that you only see with top ranked internet marketing programs.
Basically, the idea is to build your site on quality content, target keywords for traffic, collect leads, and finally monetize.
This is an excellent online business model and a proven marketing strategy for online success.
One thing I liked about the Solo Build It training is that it doesn’t push you to monetize your website as soon as possible.
I think a lot of beginners become obsessed with making money online they rush right into trying to make sales, and that rarely works out.
Solo Build It recommends the opposite; build the site on a solid foundation and have people visit the site, but don’t sell anything to them yet.
The selling comes later, once you have more people invested in your site.
SBI’s Interesting Recommendation:
Solo Build It suggests that you invite your family members to track your business progress.
This will be your first “Group” which can turn into sales later on down the line. In previous reviews, I don’t like it when programs recommend inviting friends and family members, but this program is a little different.
See, Solo Build It doesn’t want you to sell anything to your friends and family members.
You are just asking for their feedback and support – that is all.
Gotta Love It!
Solo Build It Training’s Easy to Follow:
The further you progress in the training the longer and more detailed each lesson becomes.
At the time of this writing I went through Day 1 and Day 8 of the training material. I can say its quite well-written and the advice is spot-on, though not perfect.
One of the aspects of the training I loved is the focus on building a solid foundation.
And I couldn’t agree more!
Solo Build It Tools:
There are two tools inside the member’s area: a site builder and a keyword research tool.
The keyword research tool generates a massive list of keywords based on a seed keyword. The tool is called Brainstorm It (BI) and the site builder is drag-and-drop based.
There are also some other tools and services, including custom services:
Custom work spans a wide range of categories, and I think it is quite a useful – but expensive – feature.
One of their services allows you to request share-ability feedback from one of their professional website designers.
Basically, they’ll take a look at your site, and let you know which areas need to be improved.
Brainstorm It, the keyword tool, was a bit difficult to use, and I found myself feeling a bit overwhelmed with the data.
It doesn’t use the regular labels such as “Traffic” or “Competition” but rather new ones: “Value Demand”, “Real Supply”, and “Profitability”.
To me, the labels and data are a bit confusing and the user interface is difficult to use as well.
I much prefer my favorite keyword research tool, the user interface is so much easier to use and understand. This makes the difference in learning how to rank content organically to target your niche audience.
But members do use Brainstorm It to find decent keywords; there’s just a bit of a learning curve. Essentially, Solo Build It provides you with all the services and tools you need – including custom services – to build a business online.
A Few Cons with Solo Build It:
But there were a few things I didn’t like about the program.
For starters, the website navigation needs some work.
I accidentally closed the lesson I was on and had a hard time getting back into the site.
There’s no login area on the main website (or at least I couldn’t find it) so I had to do a lot of digging to find a way to gain access to the product.
I had to go all the way back to my inbox and click on the login confirmation link from there to return to the course.
But once I got back in, I had to skim through all the lessons I completed.
Its a bit of a hassle. Even in the forum I had a hard time finding a “Back” button to go back to my training lesson.
One button took me back to the main homepage of the site (where there’s no login area!) so I had to do it all over again.
Its a bit irritating to have to go back to your email inbox and click the login link from there every time you leave the site. X-(
I also found the training includes a lot of new terms that are rather confusing to beginners.
Take a look at the picture below:
Out of context, that paragraph wouldn’t make much sense, right?
There are also a lot of other terms in the training that made me feel a bit confused.
I feel the user-interface needs some work and some of the training lessons should use more simple terms.
Other than those issues, I think Solo Build It is a decent course that teaches you how to really make a business.
Conclusion on Solo Build It..
Solo Build It is not a scam. It’s a rather useful course, and it doesn’t cost much either. In fact – in my opinion – the cost is well worth it.
It costs $29.99/month and there’s a 90 day money-back guarantee. If you don’t mind a more technical approach to making money online, Solo Build It might be for you.

Have you tried Solo Build It, what is Solo Build It to you?
Please leave a comment below and let me know what you think.
Thanks again for some good info Todd. I did sign-up for your “Learn To Grow Wealth Online” eBook.
So here’s a question for you-
What about http://www.ClickFunnels.com?
Have or do you use them and/or if you are familiar with where that program and system does that fit in … or does it in internet marketing? IS it just another albeit good one, another option for building an on-line business and presence?
Hi Jeff,
Check out our ClickFunnels Review right here. It’s a great system to build an email list by building landing pages that act as funnels to get the user to the buying stage in the purchase cycle.
OR.. Get them to opt into your email marketing system (Aweber for me). Then you send helpful emails with occasional sales recommendations.
This is your niche audience user and these systems are used to get them to a buying decision. Either selling actual or digital products. This can be done through affiliate marketing or building your own product for direct sales.
So this is a great approach that you can use with niche websites or just by building the landing pages through Lead Pages or ClickFunnels.
I put links to our reviews in this response.
I used to use Lead Pages. Now I use Thrive Architect (Much more cost effective and better quality!) for my sites in conjunction with Aweber. I buy yearly for the best discounts.
Hope that helps,
Todd
Thank you for your article on Solo Build It.
I read it with interest and all the steps that you chart to be successful.
I think that for me what matters the most is that I am not technical minded.
It would be good to actually include that fact in the beginning because there are businesses out there geared for the technically challenged.
i enjoyed the article and learned few important details.
Cheers
Orion
Good point Orion. I think newbies could still benefit from Solo Build It, but I get your point.
I love programs like Solo Build It simply because they have a lot of value.
For newbies and experienced marketers, I’d encourage you to try our Free Internet Marketing Training eCourse.
It’s a simple set of emails to guide you down the IM path, to see if online business is for you, and to give you the best value in resources while keeping a budget in mind.
Thanks,
Todd
I’ve been looking to turn my online blog into something that can be monetised, and this is the first time I’ve come across Solo Build It. I have to agree with the earlier comments though – the keyword tool seems very confusing to me.
I have come across the website Jaaxy, do you think SBI’s keyword tool is easier than this?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Mindful Mantra, thanks for your feedback and input. I think Jaaxy is the easiest and most efficient keyword tool that I’ve ever used.
I think most keyword tools offer unnecessary information or complicate the process. When I started using Jaaxy about 3 years ago I started seeing a big difference in my rankings and traffic.
I’d encourage you to get our Free Targeted Traffic eBook.
This gives you a breakdown of the entire process and includes a guide to how you target keyword phrases as well as post publishing steps that will allow you to rank faster and higher than the competition.
Best,
Todd
This is great post on Solo Build It. I think that this is a pretty solid program, but I feel for now I’m in the right place over at Wealthy Affiliate.
Based on your review, I think both products are solid training materials for those that want to create an online business based on affiliate marketing and niche websites.
Really good to know that there are other real training programs out there besides Wealthy Affiliate as well.
Thanks
You bet Austin, happy to help and thanks for your feedback on our Solo Build It review as well as your experience with Wealthy Affiliate.
I think both a great programs and will work fine for those that want to build a long term successful online business.
Great post! This is a detailed review of Solo Build It. This is the first time I’ve heard about this program and learned a lot. The SBI platform is clean, I like the walk through on the process. And although I think this would be a good program to attend to, it’s just too much if you already have a really solid training program like I have. It’s Wealthy Affiliate. Solo Build It would be something I would have considered prior to finding WA. Regardless, it’s nice to see other good companies out there in this sea of internet scams and poor training programs.
Thanks Candice for your perspective.
Hi Tim,
Nice write up about Solo Build It! I am searching for the right online business to start up, I have zero knowledge about online marketing and hope to find one that is great for starters.
Will you recmmend Solo Build It, or you have any other that is more suitable for me you would recommend?
Cheers!
Wilson
Hey Wilson, we recommend all beginners to check out our Free Internet Marketing Training eCourse.
This way you can get all the knowledge to decide if online business is the right path for you.
As well, we recommend a couple of essential training resources and tools that are perfect for beginners to advanced.
Thanks,
Todd
This was a very interesting read. I’m hearing about Solo Build for the first time and from the look of things, this seems like a cool program. I like the 90-day guarantee for this training which to me appears very intensive and detailed. The cost of $29 seems alright and worth compared to what you gonna reap from this program.
Something that has really kept me off is the keyword tool which looks so complicated and uses a very difficult system to understand.
I think they need to simplify their terminologies and sentences too. Just one question about this program, do they have a support team that would come to my aid on time?
If I become a member, can they allow me to use other keyword tools like Jaaxy? Would you recommend it to a newbie?
Great questions and thanks for your feedback on our Solo Build It review. I think for a newbie to internet marketing I’d encourage you to take our Free Internet Marketing eCourse Training Series.
This will help you understand if this internet marketing thingy is really the path for you as well as give you the best resources you need to get going.
I’m always looking for the least expensive way to get the job done correctly and most efficiently, so I think this eCourse is the way to go. Plus it comes with a free eBook on Targeting Traffic for your niche audience, so a lot of value.
Solo Build It’s does have a good support system in place if you want to give them a try, but I don’t think they are the most newbie friendly place in the world.
Jaaxy is one of my top recommendations and it’s because it’s so simple to use. I get keyword competition and know which phrases I can target that will bring in steady traffic for my niche sites.
I also can check rank, affiliate programs, domain names, and store my keyword phrases so it’s simplicity is what makes this the best keyword tool around in my opinion.
Thanks,
Todd
Making money online has become so popular that almost everyone wants to give it a try. There are a lot of training programs on making money online that are genuine where you can succeed as long as you put in some work.
But there are also a lot of scams that promise you success. We have to be wise so for Solo Build It to offer a 90-day money-back guarantee is worth checking out. Not many programs offer this and so instead, they will let you join in for free to check it out for yourself first and if you are convinced it’s going to work then you have the option to upgrade.
Offering a money-back guarantee means the company is confident that their product is really good and worth trying.
With Solo Build It, I find it a bit complicated because I’m not a “techie” person, I’m not good with technology although I maybe able to play around with WordPress.
One thing I like though is that they do not focus on making money right away. Instead, they will teach you what you need to know to establish your authority online.
Thanks for this review, great job!
Thanks Alice for your insightful feedback.
This is great. I’ve been looking to get into online marketing, but I just didn’t know where to start. There is so many parts that play into which path to take and I just get lost on it all.
Plus, with there being so many scams on the internet nowadays, it’s hard to tell the real from the fake. I’m glad you broken this down for me, gave me a lot of new ideas to build upon.
Do you know where I can learn the basics of online marketing?
Hey Garrett,
Thanks for your feedback on our review of Solo Build It. It’s a really solid program.
I would recommend you start with our Free Internet Marketing Training eCourse.
It’s simple lessons that are sent to your email and give you a pretty all inclusive view point of what online marketing is all about.
Different strategies, the right mindset, realistic expectations, etc.
Click the link and check it out, I think this will get you off to an amazing start.
Best,
Todd
This looks like something I may want to try — especially the Brainstorm It keyword tool — I am always having difficulty choosing appropriate keywords, but overall this platform seems like something that would fit for my needs. The price is right, too. So glad I stumbled upon this post in my search. Thanks!
Hey Amy, thanks for your feedback on Solo Build It.
You might also want to try Jaaxy’s 30 Free Searches.
Ever since I started using Jaaxy about 2 years ago, I never run out of content ideas because of their brainstorm function.
Whichever you go with, I think a good keyword tool makes the difference in ranking content organically. And this will make all the difference in the success of your online business.
Hi Tim!
I think Solo Build It’s recomendations are spot on: “build a sight on solid foundations and have the people visit the site, but don’t sell them anything yet”.
This resonates so much with my online endeavors. I have been building my website piece by piece, following the training program from Wealthy Affiliate, lessons to the letter.
I confess that sometimes I get frustrated with how slow its going, but, like your article says, its about setting solid foundations first.
Once you have people “invested” on your site, then you can consider selling to them.
Awesome stuff and oh so very true! Asking feedback from your friends and family to track your progress I think is a brilliant idea.
Accountability is an excellent motivator! It’s a bit of a shame that such excellent ideas are bit tarnished by navigational difficulties on their website.
But at 29.99 US/month (including a 90 day money-back guarantee), I feel these are just small challenges easily dealt with. In exchange you receive a legitimate way to make money online.
With so many scams out in the internet, Solo Build It seems like a good, reputable option.
Hey Luis,
We appreciate your feedback working with Wealthy Affiliate as well as Solo Build It. Much appreciated.
Thanks for your review. I had heard that Solo Build It’s navigation was difficult and that their training was geared to more technical savvy users. I’m new to all this so I think I’m going to learn the basics at Wealthy Affiliate and then take another looks at Solo Build It down the line. Thanks again!
Marc
You bet Marc and probably the wiser choice. I’ve been a member of WA for over 3 years and there’s always something new to learn, but they have got me from point A to point Z with my online business and I think they’re the best value out there.
And that’s so important.
See ya inside WA,
Todd
