What is the Best Hosting Company for WordPress Image

Looking for the best hosting company for WordPress can be a headache inducing process.

Not only are there countless providers, but many of them are unreliable. It goes without saying that there are hosting sites that are simply better than others.

How does one sift through the multitudes of unworthy hosting companies to find the best hosting company for WordPress?

The best way is to try out the different hosting providers one by one. Test them to see whether or not they are ideal for your website.

Obviously this is quite impractical, especially for solo website builders or small companies that do not have a lot of manpower.

Thankfully, our team did the research in order to find the cream of the crop when it comes to hosting companies ideal for WordPress.

Discover what hosting companies are especially popular at the moment, and which of ones are the best.

What is the Best Hosting Company for WordPress?

I know for this site, LearntoGrowWealthOnline.com, there’s some extra perks to “White Hat” SEO that I believe creates the best value in a hosting provider.

Most providers don’t offer much in terms of on-site Search Engine Optimization as well as personal feedback.

Something that is critical to have if you’re new to online business in my opinion.

I find that this, as well as, how my site performs makes my hosting decision all that much easier.

I’m a bit partial to Site Rubix since I’ve been able to eliminate a bunch of Speed & Compression plugins, plus I get FREE SSL Certification and can host up to 25 sites on their platform.

And lastly, I get social comments from these guys which improves my site trust and arguably improves my individual post ranking’s as well.

Remember, your online business should have an organic ranking system in place.

GoDaddy Website Hosting:

Don’t be tricked by the provider’s peculiar name, this company offers surprisingly great services. Using their services will give you lightning fast response time at around 450 ms, more or less.

The basic plan is quite affordable also, costing $8.60 a month if you choose the 12 month plan. However, if if you go with the 36 month plan their hosting services will only cost you $4.90 per month.

Sounds great right?

However, there is one issue that GoDaddy has.

If there are 25 or above users using the website from the same IP, GoDaddy’s security system causes the website to become unresponsive and starts eliminating connections.

The reason behind this is that their security system has very “safe” settings, so that even 25 users logging in on the same IP is seen as a DDOS attack.

What does this mean for you?

Well this problem will only affect you if you have a small company that uses the same IP. If you have 25 or more users logging in to the same page, then the website could go under for a few minutes.

Nevertheless, despite its drawbacks GoDaddy is still one of the biggest website hosting firms out there.

SiteGround Website Hosting Rocks!

If you’ve been in the website building business for awhile, you will have most certainly heard of this top performing website hosting company.

Especially in the WordPress community, SiteGround has been steadily increasing in popularity.A picture of SiteGround's logo, one of the best hosting companies for WordPress.

Why is this hosting service so amazing?

Well first of all, their pricing is “out of this world” competitively.

You only have to pay $3.95 (startup package) each month regardless of how long you plan to use their hosting services. In fact, you will most likely not find a hosting service of this quality at such a low price.

It is no wonder that WordPress.org officially recommends SiteGround to be your hosting provider. Furthermore, their services are optimized for WordPress users.

Also if you are looking for the best customer support, then this hosting provider is the one for you.

Why is that?

Well support agents from SiteGround are not only capable of fixing your account issues, but they also have in depth knowledge of WordPress.

This means that they could probably help you with other stuff that are not exactly related to website hosting.

  1. Hi Todd,
An interesting post, which reinforces my opinion about the best WordPress hosting platforms. For WordPress hosting SiteGround seems to be really good especially when compared to GoDaddy and their problems if you have more than 25 visitors on your website.
SiteGround seem to be gaining domains from some of the big players and you don’t find many negative reviews about their services.
Wealthy Affiliate/SiteRubix offer managed WordPress hosting which means they look after security, backups and speed related issues. They offer a great service and you can host up to 25 of your own domains. Most other equivalent hosting costs more and you can’t host as many sites. Add to this the training, outstanding support and other advantages you mention and you have a complete service that gives unmatched value for money.
For a beginner SiteRubix is certainly the best choice, a little help setting up your site and learning how WordPress works is necessary. But for someone who knows what they are doing SiteGround looks like an excellent alternative.

    1. Very good feedback Peter and much appreciated. I’d agree with your conclusion. Both services have their place within the online world.

Wishing you an awesome 2018 Peter!

  2. Hi Todd. What an awesome overview!

I’m still new to the online business and have often wondered what are the differences between the various hosting services.

I’m currently using Wealthy Affiliate, which is ideal for a ‘newbie’ and represents by far the best value for money in my humble opinion. I have the option to build 25 domains and have access to all of their amazing training and a super friendly and helpful community of like-minded people.

I can see the attraction to SiteGround though, especially for experienced website builders, their pricing is certainly very competitive. It might be something for me to consider in the future, but right now I’m happy where I am.

    1. Hi Abdusalam,

I’m with your sentiments completely. I think Site Rubix is the best hosting company for WordPress for these reasons as well.

If you get to that point, see what Site Ground will charge for SSL certification. With that and all the other ‘White Hat’ SEO features built into Site Rubix, it makes them tough to compete againts.

  3. Hey there, thanks for sharing the points and features of some of the hosting platforms out there.

Now, they may be okay for those who have in depth knowledge of SEO and how to build a website, but unless you really know your stuff you will struggle.

I did, when I joined Go Daddy a few years ago, in fact I struggled so much that I just gave up. I needed step by step instructions from SCRATCH, and that’s what you get on Wealthy Affiliate.

On this platform I have been able to build out my own business to an extent that I never dreamed of before, and this is 100% because of the easy to follow training, and the community of people who will help you any time you need it.

    1. Absolutely Stefanie, this is the same issue I had and I used and still use Wealthy Affiliate’s educational program for a multitude of reasons.

Not only for the continued education, but all the bonus features that their Site Rubix website builder contains.

I think their free SSL certs, Site Speed, and Site Comments give me an advantage over other hosting companies and my competition within my niche.

  4. Hi, Todd. In reading your review in which you compared several different hosting companies I was struck by the issue that GoDaddy, (supposedly among the cream of the crop when it comes to domain name purchases) has been unable to solve regarding the case when more than 25 users are at a specific url website address and the company’s hosting program incorrectly reads it as a DDOS attack. No problem for a small company, but a large one being hosted by GoDaddy? Really, they need to do something to alleviate that problem.

I was also interested when you stated that SiteGround and Wealthy Affiliate had, in your opinion, the two best hosting platforms. Being a member of WA, I know that the company now has SSL certification available for the sites that they host. However, even going to the other review of this company, linked within this article’s content I could not see where SiteGround offers the same service. If not, then in my opinion Wealthy Affiliate’s hosting service would be superior to the other company’s service.

I’ve discovered that converting my website over to the SSL https:// prefix gives me a peace of mind whereas before WA began offering this feature this level of security was not truly possible. Add that to the fact that WA offers free hosting for premium level members, well in my opinion no other program where you’d have to pay to receive the same service, (and perhaps without the SSL certification) cannot be beat!

    1. Yeah Jeff, and the great thing about WA’s hosting is that they continue to improve upon their hosting platform.

SSL is great, but I love site speed and site comments to improve my on site SEO. My site is faster, protected and I’ve gone from 11 plugins to 5.

Thanks for your feedback and sharing your GoDaddy story.

  5. Hi there,
It seems like most hosts these days are “optimized for WP’ or offer quick 1 click installs to entice users to buy.
But how good are they? And a lot are certainly not for the inexperienced.
There are a lot of hidden, unspoken terms, that can have your site handcuffed and held hostage unless you upgrade.
I find Support and Customer Service are a huge factor.
I am using Site Rubix now and find both to be amazing.
Three sites, all humming away perfectly!
I had a problem that was fixed (Technical) in under 3 mins.
Downtime is really minimized when you have service like that. (Site Rubix)

    1. Hi EJ,

I’ve had more than one similar experience with Site Rubix’s support and it’s stellar to say the least.

For that reason plus all the white hat SEO attributes that Site Rubix has built into it makes me think that they are easily the best hosting company for WordPress.

If you don’t have a WordPress site, you might want to look into SiteGround Hosting.

Still, there’s so many benefits for online businesses to use Site Rubix that it makes them easily the best hosting platform.

  6. Are you familiar with WP Engine? Apparently, this is WordPress’s own site hosting. It is clearly more expensive than other site hosting platforms at about 30-50 dollars a month compared to GoDaddy or SiteGround.

The benefit is that your site is less hack-able because of the layers of security measures they take.

That’s what I have used in the past, but how would something like this compare to another hosting platform like Wealthy Affiliate?

    1. Really good question and I’m not sure how to compare WP Engine with WA’s Site Rubix hosting.

I haven’t used and we haven’t reviewed wp engine but might have to take a look in the future.

We actually get a number of hosting companies requesting us to review them right now.

I can tell you that this last year I completely dropped any WP security plugin because of Site Rubix’s hosting security features and I’ve had zero issues with spam or security.

I’ve done this with their Site Speed feature that has really improved my website speed as well. Check out this post to learn how to check your sites speed and some other great ways to speed up your website.

Basically with Site Rubix, I’ve gone from 11 plugins to 5 and my site is super fast and security isn’t an issue.

The other factor with hosting is user friendliness and site performance. The better these factors are, the better search engines like you.

So better rankings = more traffic = more sales.

      Thanks for your insight,

  7. Very important information. I am a newbie at affiliate marketing and upon visiting your site I feel like I have more of an understanding to how to get started.

It can be a little intimidating when jumping into a whole new world like this but with the help of your site and places like this I’ve found ways to supplement my own income online

    1. Nice Jax, thanks for your feedback on our Hosting Post. Glad it could help out and come on back anytime.

Good to hear you’re having success online.

  8. Hello! Thanks for this great breakdown. I have been looking into transferring some of my domains to a new host. Your pros and cons of each hosting service was definitely helpful. I guess I’m fairly new to this whole thing because I hadn’t heard of SiteGround, but it sounds like a great option.

I’m actually currently using SiteRubix. After reading your reviews on the other host options, I think I’ll stick with SiteRubix as I really do like all the added features and community support it offers. Thanks for affirming my use of this great host company.

    1. You bet Jasmine and thanks for your feedback. Site Rubix is pretty awesome and you’re with a great company.

I just transferred my 4th domain to Site Rubix and it’s super easy and affordable.
