1. Sell Items on eBay!

In my opinion, the easiest way to make money online is selling something on eBay, Amazon, orCraigslist.

This is by far the easiest and fastest way to make money online!

You only have to find something in your house that’s in decent condition and then take some pictures and fill out an online listing for the item.

It can be done in a few minutes!

This is what most people resort to when they are short on cash. It’s also a great way to enter the online business realm.

Many people, including myself, caught the bug to make money online by selling on platforms like eBay.

eBay’s fun because the auction style bidding is fun for both buyers and sellers.

eBay makes it easy for people to list their products for sale, but if you don’t want to use eBay, there are many alternatives, such as Amazon (click here to learn how to sell on Amazon) or Craigslist (our guide to sell on Craigslist).

In fact, sometimes there are Facebook groups in your city dedicated to selling products!

Of course, if you’re don’t really have anything that you can sell for fast cash, there are other alternatives to making easy money online.

2. Complete Tasks & Surveys for Cash:

What is the easiest way to make money online? Completing tasks is pretty easy!

There are a lot of websites out there that will let you complete small tasks for cash, like fill out surveys, leave a comment, write a review, and much more.

I’m not such an advocate of these types of websites because there are a lot of scams out there, but there are some decent websites too.

One website that comes to mind is Amazon’s Mechanical Turk.

The tasks are mostly available for people who live in English-speaking countries and there aren’t enough tasks for you to earn a full-time income.

Nevertheless, if you want some pocket change, it’s worth a look and it’s also free.

Taking Surveys for Cash:

Our favorite survey site that pays on the higher end is Survey Junkie (read our Survey Junkie review for more info).

With Survey Junkie you can complete a wide range of surveys for some cash. The pay is better than any other survey site we’ve reviewed.

The downsides, like most survey sites, is location limitations and the amount of surveys to complete. Honest survey sites that pay well become competitive.

It’s definitely worth a look but just no the pros and cons before you invest you time. Of course, don’t limit yourself to these two websites, there are a lot more online earning options out there that are worth a look.

There are also quite a few websites where people pay for social media shares and Likes!

3. Offer an Online Service!

The third easiest way to make money online is to offer a service. There are a number of services that you can offer which don’t require much expertise.

Here are a list of some simple services you can offer to make some fast cash:

Offering a service is one way to build an online income, but it’s an instant solution because you still have to look for work and clients.

Take a look at some freelance marketplace websites and try to find some work. In most cases you’ll need to build a portfolio and collect some feedback before you can earn consistent work, but it can be worth it.

Remember, it’s always better to specialize, if you’re offering a general service like article writing it will be more difficult to find clients because there’s a lot of competition.

Check out Fiverr Gigs to get an idea of what type of service you can offer in the marketplace. You’ll be amazed at how many crazy things people do to make a buck online.

Here’s an Idea.. Narrow it down to one topic and you’re golden!

To conclude, in my opinion, the easiest way to make money online is to sell something on eBay or Craigslist. You just have to create an account and list the item for sell and that’s it.

The second easiest would be completing simple tasks online for cash, like filling out surveys, visiting websites, leaving reviews, and other tasks.

I was playing around with one of those websites and made around 0.20$ in a couple minutes, so there’s potential to make some pocket change.

Just don’t expect to be able to quit your job and do it full-time, because there are always limits in place to prevent people from completing too many tasks in one day.

Nevertheless, making money online is not that complicated, sure getting traffic and building an online affiliate marketing business sounds complicated.

But in reality, it’s just a matter of doing a few tasks every day!

  1. Hi Todd, I so enjoyed your blog titled “What Is The Easiest Way to Make Money Online?” Pretty accurate title btw. I did not realize all of these opportunities were online to make a few bucks. I have sold on eBay and done very well. I am going to check out Amazon’s Mechanical Turk and Micro Workers. Thanks for an awesome post!

    With Kind Regards,

    1. You bet Linda, and thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. Selling online is fun and you can make quick cash with services. You just have to think about what you want for the long haul.

I’m a fan of passive income through affiliate marketing. It takes that initial time, but is really worth for long term success.

  2. I can definitely see where you can make some cash by selling on Amazon, Ebay or Craigslist. I have and do all three to this day. I have also tried completing simple tasks online for cash such as with surveys, etc. I found this to be a total waste of my time. I never made any money and just ended up with an inbox full of junk mail and more surveys then I knew what to do with. Plus a lot of them get you started in the survey, only to be told halfway thru or at the end, that you don’t qualify. I have a bitter taste for this way of “making money”.

    1. Hey Matt’s Mom,

I’m not a fan of surveys either, there are only an handful of legit survey sites and most of them offer poor income. And you are not the first to be annoyed for not qualifing for surveys.

Selling services and products is the easiest way to make money online, but unless you learn importation, you’re limiting your long term success.

That’s why I like niche based affiliate sites, you can build them however large you want them to be and bring in consistent income. The size of that income is based on your niche, quality of content, and marketing skills.

If you need any help with this stuff, go with the Wealthy Affiliate training center, they have structured courses to guide you along the way.

  3. Very interesting post, these are some great ideas to make fast cash online. I think selling stuff on eBay or selling services is great, but it’s a job. Granted, one online, but not a true business.

The best way I’ve found to make a successful long-term business is using the training program you recommend here, Wealthy Affiliate.

It’s an incredible resource and offers so much for so little.

I think if you’re really into making money online, I’d go with their training and just work at it. The cool thing about a website is that things can always be changed and improved to create better results.

    1. Thanks Fernando, much appreciated and right on the money. If you are passionate about something then absolutely, turn it into an online business. Work at it and make it happen, eventually it will work for you. It’s been one of the best things I’v ever done for myself.

Take it like a college education and you’ll do great.

  4. It’s funny how people miss the simplest but some of the most effective methods to make money online.

After reading this I was literally like.. I’m surrounded by things I don’t need and should probably post on craigslist lol.

Thanks for these few nice quick tips – really informative. What is the difference between selling on Amazon and selling on Ebay ?

    1. Hi Jerry, thanks for your feedback on the post, happy to help. Amazon sees much more traffic than eBay. But eBay is fun when you get people bidding on your products.

I personally would look at both, but not at the same time. Get to know one, then branch out to the other, even Etsy, depending on what you’re selling.

When I finished off with my importation career, I had several hundred iPhone 5 cases that sold really well (like 20 pieces/day) on Amazon and then they fizzled out, later I took them to eBay and was able to consistly sell them off.

So having both is a benefit, you have 2 markets to sell products. If it’s just used stuff, go with eBay. Here’s a post on how to do this.

  5. Great article and awesome tips.

When it comes to earning money online, there are not a lot of legit articles or programs that offers people a genuine method to make money. Instead people, most of the time, fall in the trap of scammers. This article will help people learn how to make money without loosing their saving. Keep posting.

    1. Thanks Artware for your kind remarks. People want to make fast cash online and that’s normal, there are a few methods available and this is article details those that work. To make consistent online income, you should do what I did.

  6. Your post came in a really good time cause I know a few people who needs more money and have no clue what to do, I’ll definitively share it with them and I’m sure it’s gonna be very helpful. You showed some pretty easy ways to make money that anybody can do, it’s never as hard as it seems. I’ll be coming back to your website, I really enjoyed it.

    1. Awesome Ryan, happy to help and thanks for your kind feedback. To make some fast cash, you can easily do it with some of the resources in this post. If you want to make the long term passive income, then I recommend niche based affiliate sites that are dedicated to helping people.

If you’ve got a passion, special skill set, or unique knowledge, take it to the next level and start creating something of value.

This works time and time again if you can work at it consistently.
