What is Wrike? Does it really make organizing tasks easier? Is it worth it?
I’ll do my best to answer those questions and more.
In this Wrike review we’ll take a look at the company and its platform and see if we can use it to our advantage.
Wrike is an online team management platform. You can use it to assign and organize tasks with your team.
Since outsourcing is vital to business growth, I decided to sign-up for a free Wrike trial to see how it works.

Who Can Benefit from Wrike?
Wrike is for small to enterprise size businesses, the more team members, the higher the monthly cost.
One cool thing about the Wrike membership is you can use a slider to select your ideal team-size, and the price adjusts accordingly.
This makes it easy for you to find a subscription that best suits your business; an excellent feature.
On the other hand, the minimum team size is five, which means this platform is not ideal for one-man teams.
In other words, if you’re a freelancer who works alone, and doesn’t outsource, this might not be the best platform for you.
However, if you are a freelance and you want to outsource different tasks, this tool will come in handy, and I’ll show you how later on in this article.
Essentially, Wrike is for anyone who wants to make it easier to track task assignments.
The Wrike APP:
Wrike has its own APP that you can download on Android and IOS devices.
I found it quite useful because it sends a notification to your phone whenever a task’s status has been changed.
For example, when you hire someone and assign them a task on Wrike, you will receive a notification on your phone when the task is completed.
And you can quickly review the tasks status as well when you’re not on your computer.
In short, the APP makes team management extremely efficient.
Similarly, if you are working for someone, the app will send you a notification and email when you are assigned a new task.
The app is free, too!

The app is really quite interesting and I highly recommend taking a look.
So how can this platform be used to expand your online business?
How to Use Wrike to Grow Your Business:
It’s quite simple, really!
Here’s one example:
If you have a website – like mine – and you need produce quality content to bring in traffic, hiring writers is important.
Lets say we want to hire a few writers to create content for our website, how would we manage them?
Most people take the email route and assign tasks via email and that can work fine.
But if you want to make things even easier, use Wrike!
Did I mention creating an account is free?
Well, it is…
And you can try a 14-day Business Account trial.
So here’s what you do…
Head over to Wrike and make a free account, it only takes a second.
Once in the member’s area, watch the intro videos to understand how the platform works.
Then, choose a project template or create a folder, I recommend creating a folder at first.
There are plenty of templates to choose from!
Choose a template, or click Continue Without a Template to make your own.
Now you can create a new task!
Hit the green plus icon in the top left corner of the screen.
This is where you can include task details and instructions.
Your writers will be able to see all the information, but they won’t be able to change the description.
From here you can Set a Date to the task, assign a worker, add a sub-task, add comments, and add files.
When you assign someone to a task, they’ll receive an email and a notification on their phone (if they have the app).
From there, they can begin working on the task, upload the file, and mark it as complete, which you can review later.
There’s even a timer your team can use to track their work hours.
So to organize writers for your site, create a new task for each article, and assign them to each writer.
Create a folder for content creation and move all the tasks into that folder, for easy access.
Take the new content and upload it to your site!
Easy!
That’s just one example, there are many more.
What I Like about Wrike:
Honestly, I liked quite a few things about this platform.
For starters, its free.
The only information they need is your name, email address, and password.
You can also sign-up through Google Plus in one click.
I also really like the Wrike app and how easy it is to track the status of your tasks.
There are also lots of different ways to view your tasks: Board, Table, List, Calendar, and more.
Personally, I like the Calendar option as you can see, at a glance, all the due dates and tasks in one place.
There’s also Stream section where you can see Live updates on your Team’s progress.
For example, if one of your team members hits the little play icon to track their time working on a task, the Stream will update and say, “So and So has started working on (Task)…”
The membership slider is cool too, and you can always upgrade as your team increases.
You can also make detailed reports of all the work completed – perfect for people that love tracking data!
What is Wrike? Our Conclusion:
So now you know what is Wrike, and how it can benefit your online business.
There is a small learning curve to the platform, but once you teach your team how to use it, it makes managing tasks extremely easy!

I think Wrike would be an awesome app for someone working an online business and also managing their website with multiple people. I like that there is a 2 week trial period…free! I like that the app is free and I never would have thought you could have as much organization for so many things all in one place. The notifications are great and the fact that it can track the hours people spend working on tasks is a super cool feature. This app seems like a no-brainer for someone with a team of people (small or large) working together towards one common goal
Yep, organization is always an issue with an online business. Thanks for your feedback on Wrike.
I definitely found Wrike useful!
I started using it with my small group and we love it. The features that they offer are amazing and it allows for so much organization and team communication.
I highly recommend anyone that is trying to organize a team to use Wrike. Their platform helped us achieve success as well!
Awesome Jake, thanks for the kind feedback on our Wrike review, much appreciated.
I am working on a couple business ideas that eventually I know will bloom into having employees. Wrike sounds like it will help with tasking my employees and getting feedback on the current task assigned as well. I have never heard of this app till now, but I know of a few companies that could use this right now as they have a problem with following up with current working tasks. Thank you.
Yeah Austin, it sounds like Wrike is perfect for your business as well as the companies you mentioned. It’s a great organization tool that can make your online life easier.
Thanks,
Todd
I have never heard of Wrike so this was very interesting to learn. I plan on hiring writers in the future so I am going to try it, so thanks for the information.
I love the training course Wealthy Affiliate that you offer here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to start there own online business.
The training is fantastic and teaches you everything you need to know with a great community on hand to help you out whenever you get stuck.
Thanks again
Hi Stefanie,
Thanks for your feedback on Wrike as well as Wealthy Affiliate. I think WA is the service for those that want to learn to start, run and grow an online business while Wrike is an ancillary service that can help when your online business is ready for it, after a certain maturity level.
Hi there very interesting review. I’ve never heard of Wrike before but I’m definitely going to check it out. Have you done a review or used smartsheet? I’d be very interested to hear how the two products compare. I think smartsheet has free and premium versions as well. Thanks for sharing, cheers Karen
Hey Karen, thanks for your feedback on our Wrike review, we have not checked out smartsheet yet but will have to and see which is the better service.
Thanks, Todd
