Finding writing jobs online that pay can be a challenge. Today we’ll show you how to create writing jobs that continue to pay even after the work’s done.
We’ll also discuss how to write for your own website and what to do when you can’t.
Create Your Own Writing Jobs Online That Pay
So you’re looking for online writing jobs that pay? Maybe you heard it’s easy to make money as a writer online, and that the benefits are quite attractive.
Though this is true, it’s often difficult for beginners to tap into lucrative niches. It’s not so easy to find online businesses where people have enough money to pay premium rates for articles.
What ends up happening to a lot of people is that they are unable to find clients that are willing to pay premium rates.
Most writers end up settling for clients that have regular work but can’t afford high rates.
You get paid less, and your work load increases, making your life stressful and busy while the monetary rewards are not ideal.
That’s not how it should be…
You might be an excellent writer, and have decent knowledge of search engine optimization, but your clients don’t give you enough freedom to utilize those skills in their articles.
They might just need fluff articles that contain no real value, articles that no human would want to read.
Writing those kind of articles is not only bad for your client’s business, but it also diminishes your writing skills.
You see, you get accustomed to writing fluff articles, and you forget that your audience should be human readers.
Thus, what I recommend, is applying the skills as a writer on your own website.
Forget about writing jobs online that pay and focus on applying all your writing and marketing skills on your own website and projects.

Online Businesses Need A LOT of Content
There’s no way around it, to create an online business you need to create a lot of content, and the better the quality the content is, the more people will visit your website.
Forget about those content creation schemes, tools that steal content from other articles and claim that they’re unique articles.
Sit down and write, target keywords, and write, and continue writing until your website is filled with articles and the traffic is flowing in, sending cash to your bank account.
But that sounds like a lot of hard work…
It’s true, it is a lot of work and it takes time. How long you ask, check out this post to see how long it takes to make money with an online business.
If you work on your website day in and day out, focusing on publishing as many quality articles as possible and marketing all over social media, then you’ll see results sooner.
The more time you invest, the closer you’ll get to your financial goals…
What If You’re Not a Natural Writer:
Let’s face it, not everyone likes to write, and even people who love to write will get bored of writing after awhile, especially if the articles are all about the same niche or topic.
It can be draining; but there’s no way around it, Google needs fresh content to add to it’s index (search engine results page).
Additionally, if you have an audience, a fan base of people who love your articles, they’ll be expecting new content, and you can’t just let them down or they’ll find someone else to follow, thus damaging your fan base.
Not to mention time consuming!
Not everyone has the time to sit down and write articles on a daily basis!
These are all problems that could happen if you stop writing articles.
I admit, the world probably won’t end, and your business will still survive, but traffic and sales will take a nose-dive.
So, as someone who doesn’t want to write articles, how would you create an online business?
It’s simple, there’s a service that a good friend of mine has been providing for awhile, it’s called Human Proof Designs.
Human Proof Designs: They’ll Help You Get Started

Human Proof Design is a service designed to make it easier for people to create niche specific websites and build an online business.
Dom Wells, an experienced online marketer, noticed that most people want to create an online business but they don’t know where to start, so he created a service that sets up the foundation for them.
It’s really a cool service that I highly recommend, and even online business owners that have established websites can benefit from these features.
There are several services that you can choose from, the two most popular are niche website creation, and custom articles.
The Custom Niche Website Creation Service:
This is the perfect package for people who are not sure how to set up a website and all the little technical details that go into the process.
Dom Well’s and his team will take care of all of it for you, they’ll even do keyword research, and write the content for your website.
You can choose from “Ready-Made” or “Custom Built” websites.
The ready made ones, are, well, already made.
You just have to fill in the blanks with your affiliate links, and in a snap of the fingers, you’re the owner of a beautiful, keyword targeted, website.
How cool is that?!
The custom built service is also really cool, all you have to do is contact the team and let them know what type of website you have in mind, and they’ll see what they can do.
The custom built websites are mainly for people who want to make money from Amazon as affiliates, write a few reviews and create a review-based website and include affiliate links, a simple way to make money online.
But, of course, they’re flexible, and they can create almost any type of website that you have in mind.
What’s Included with a Pre-Made Niche Website?
The following will be included in the websites (the starter version):
- 2,500 Word Homepage
- 8,000 Words Total
- Premium Theme
- Premium Plugins
- On-Page SEO
- Domain Name
- Keyword Research
- Private FB Group
- Free Tech Support
- Email Support
- Video Training Library
It’s really easy to take these websites and turn them into cash machines with just a tiny bit of work!
But if you already have a website, that’s fine, the other (content writing) service has got your covered.
Article Writing:
We mentioned earlier that websites can’t survive without fresh content, and here’s where you can hire someone to write the articles you need for you.
It’s an awesome service for people who are feeling drained or don’t have time to write articles for their websites.
You can buy article packs, the cheapest package is 10 unique and well-written articles for $199!
Considering that each of these article is 1,000 words long and well-written and unique; it’s an excellent bargain!
10 keyword targeted articles could bring in traffic for years to come, and the traffic they bring in will pay for themselves, thus making it easier for you to re-invest and expand your business.
Here’s an article about the importance of writing quality articles (and how to rank!)!
Conclusion on Writing Jobs Online that Pay:
Instead of looking for online writing jobs that pay, consider writing articles for your own website, and applying all the skills that you learned.
And if you are tired of writing for your own website, hire someone to do the writing for you.
Human Proof Designs has cheap articles packs that you can purchase to build a nice foundation for your website.
You can also hire them to make an entire website for you, at bargain rates.
Alternatively, if you want to know how I made my online business, here’s the training I followed:
Got any other great ideas for online writing jobs that pay? Let us know in the comments section and we’ll get right back to you.
I see you really want to help people understand the pros and cons of starting an online business. People assume that because the business is online it should be a lot easier which is not true.
Starting an online business is the same as starting a shoe company, or a yoga mat company. it takes consistency and effort to see the fruit of your labor.
Yeah, that’s exactly correct King. With the exception that you don’t have nearly the same start up costs. An online business costs next to nothing to get rolling. Read this post to see how much it costs me to run this site.
But you’re absolutely correct that you’ve got to put in that intitial time and effort to get it started. Another cool thing is that once you’ve got your site established and have achieved good rankings and traffic, the site can somewhat run on autopilot.
I personally am always trying to grow my business, but if I leave it for a month, I’ll still make good money with it.
Thanks,
Todd
I really like this post on writing jobs online and your concept is great. Learning how to write for your own website is important, but it’s great to know that there’s solid resources out there to get original content.
I have no doubt it will appeal to a lot of people and I think you will have a lot of takers!
As someone who is starting out on their Wealthy Affiliate journey, I can definitely see the appeal. I might be in touch if I start to dry up for content ideas.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the great feedback. It’s nice to take the income you earn on your site and reinvest it into something like content creation. Especially as you get better at SEO and editing your content.
This allows you to also focus on other projects like email marketing or developing your social profiles. Human Proof Designs is a great option because the owner Dom learned how to do all this at Wealthy Affiliate.
So you know he knows his stuff. Keyword researched low competition posts to build your online business is a great investment. I might have already mentioned this, but I paid a Fiverr writer $10 to write a 1,000 word post.
I did the SEO and editing and a few months later the post has over 500 organic visitors per month to this post. That’s why I think writers have such an advantage by forgetting writing online jobs that pay and are better off to create their own niche based sites.
Best,
Todd
Hey, Todd,
Great article! I am starting now to build my website and after a few weeks of excitement putting together new content, I finally got a little tired and ran out of ideas. Though I know the keywords I must target, I am simply not inspired to write these days.
I do like writing, but having professional options out there is invaluable. I will definitely have a look in your suggestion as I totally agree that a website/blog can only have traffic if it is alive – that is, full of content, unique and up to date with frequent posts.
Eduardo.
Thanks Eduardo. Sounds like you’ve got the system down for ranking keywords and writing helpful content.
One thing you might do to switch it up is to work on Video Content. Instead of writing all the time, try your hand at video.
WA also teaches in their webinar section about how to rank videos in YouTube. So might be a new step for you. But if not, hire a content writer or try one of Human Proof Designs content packages and let someone else write original content for you. I’d still do the final edit though.
Thanks,
Todd
You’ve given some excellent tips for how to write for your own website for beginners or anyone looking to do this type of work from home.
I don’t think many know that this type of work exists and it is also totally legitimate. So many are scammy and you have to pay a ton of money.
Writing jobs are fine, but better to take your writing skills and build something. You post is very interesting and I learned a good deal for some alternative resources when I don’t want to write for my own site. Nicely done.
Thank you for your feedback. Everyone, I mean everyone get burned out writing online at some point in their online careers. Human Proof Designs is a great option for those that want to maintain quality content on their site as well as asure that their content is going to rank based on keyword research.
If your at that point and your site is making money, use Human Proof Designs bundle writing service and take advantage of a professional content creation service – all original – most important.
Cheers,
Todd
Hi Todd,
Content is something that I waste so much time on. In the past I have tried different content writers and while my sites made money google changed an algorithm and before I knew it my sites lost ranking and were not making money. I am interested in your Human Proof Design program. What if I am not happy with an article is there some sort of guarantee?
You know Keldyn, just go to Human Proof Designs and write Dom Wells. I’m not 100% sure on his policy so I don’t want to say something incorrect.
I think that at the minimum, you need to understand how to edit you content. This means understanding how to size images, optimize plugins, write quality content and know keyword research and usage.
I have a free eBook that covers the keyword research and usage that could possible be the most important aspect if you are going to be buying content.
You need to understand keyword phrases that your niche audience is researching to get in front of them – plain and simple. You do this with content for free or you pay for it. I’d recommend the first option to start.
Best,
Todd
Yes, I agree Todd. The best way to make a living writing is for yourself. No need for someone to work for someone else maybe writing about stuff they have no interest in.
Better to write and focus on what your passion is and to have your own business doing so.
Wealthy Affiliate is a great company who can help you do just that.
That’s how I got started and I recommend them to anyone who wants their own business in any field.
Best to you Todd and keep it going!
Awesome Timothy, thanks for your kind feedback on Wealthy Affiliate’s training center as well as our post.
It sounds like you know them really well.
I think their weekly webinars are equally important to their daily classes, it’s tough to absorb it all. But to get the basics to get started with your own online business is super fast and without too much time, anyone can get rolling online.
Thanks again Timothy, best of luck to you as well.
Todd
What do the weekly webinars entail? Where do you find them?
The weekly webinars are updated and live webinars happen every Friday. There are too many topics to discuss here, but basically everything related to online businesses. From local websites, to authoritative blogs, they’ve got a ton of info to digest.
Best,
Todd
I have earned money as a writer in the past. To be successful, you need to know which websites to write for. I tried writing articles for various freelancing sites, but I found that I would often lose out to people offering to write articles for 1 or 2 dollars per article. They must have been living somewhere with a lower cost of living, such as India. Anyway, the best site I found was Text Broker. The money I got from there was okay. But I do think that the best way to make money from your writing is to build your own affiliate marketing websites.
Great points Marcus. Writing jobs do have potential to earn decent money online. I’d have to agree with you, if you’ve got writing skills, why not build your own site based on something you are passionate about.
It will take the initial time to make money online, but you can do it with the right training. If you don’t have the time, that’s when Human Proof Designs can help you out if you want to spend a little money.
Great stuff Marcus,
Todd
You are right on that beginner writers earn a very minimum amount on the online marketplace. Which is why, I do both. I spend time building my own website last year with Wealthy Affiliate. I’m hoping to put more time into it now that I’ve starting to get the hang of it. You’ve got a nice website here where I have plenty to learn from.
Cool Kenny, good to hear and glad you’re getting the most out of Wealthy Affiliate’s training. I’d encourage you to check out WA’s webinar/online training. Each week is devoted to a new topic.
I was just reviewing them and it’s a bit overwhelming. I try to get as many as I can. Two posts that were inspired by their training that I’d recommend are..
How long does it take to make money online? Good Question
Learn how to get traffic for your website
Keep learning Kenny and don’t give up, online success is a reality, it just takes consistency and time. The rewards are worth it though, trust me 🙂
Todd
Human Proof Designs sound like a service that I would check out since I am actually sourcing for writers at the moment! Great recommendations there.
Anyway as for writings jobs online, I know there are so many scams out there that it makes it hard to find anything legit. Do you know of any sites that actually offer such jobs and are legit?
You could try Fiverr and FreeLancer. There are several sites that offer writers as well as graphic artists, etc. places to list their services. The service itself is free to join, but they take a cut off of everything you do.
It’s not for me personally. I don’t need another job, but just to keep building out my online businesses that produce income passively. That’s more my style.
Thanks for your feedback on our writing jobs online that pay post.
Todd
HI Todd, you are completely right when recommend people to write their own content.
Some people find it overwhelming and think it will be too hard to build a website. Not really, process is very simplified using WordPress, for example.
Others need urgent cash and cannot wait for the website to kick off in rankings. Yes, it is true… That’s why many people start writing as a freelancer. However, they should also build a website because it’s the best way to create residual income over time.
Having your own business is essential for those dreaming bigger.
Cheers
Exactly Stefan, dream big and make it happen. Writing jobs are fine while you’re getting started, but you want to dedicate the majority of your time to building your own brand. Anyone can do it if their willing to work for it, as well if you have a supportive community and education center, you’re way ahead of the competition.
Best,
Todd
I’m saved! I write my own article in my site but there are times when i lose all my motivation to write and end up being inactive for a few days. This Human Proof Design program would be a great help writing articles for my niche! I’m definitely trying this one out!
That’s a great idea and great way to free up several hours to your weekly schedule. And Human Proof Designs was created by Dom who also received his SEO and keyword research training through Wealthy Affiliate’s Training Center so you know you’re getting keyword based content that’s directed at targeting your niche.
This will ensure success for the long term with good rankings and quality content for your niche. Just remember to always have the last edit and make sure the post reflects your style of writing.
Best,
Todd
Writing jobs online seems to be a OK way to make some extra money, but if you can write, why not set up a blog and turn your skills into an online business.
I also think that it can become a challenge to find new content to write about and so I thank you for the Human Proof Designs referral, seems like some really good discounts for real and authentic content.
Hi HB, t’hanks for your feedback and I agree, if you can write, why not take your skills and make them work for you. It’s much more fun to be the boss than to always look for new writing assignments.
And as for Dom and Human Proof Designs, they’ve got several great resources to help online entrepreneurs including the keyword packs, the articles, and the niche website development.
Thanks,
Todd
Awesome articles on writing jobs online in general and using your skills as a writer to create an online business.
I had no clue that people can actually get paid to write articles online, that is cool. However I do love having my own website and love creating my own content from my niche chosen.
Wealthy Affiliates has helped me in so many ways. I knew I wanted to work from home and had no idea how to even get started. I have only been with Wealthy Affiliates for about one month now and I have learned more than I ever learned in the past five years of trying to make my way through other online business training programs!
Hi Natasha,
Glad you got connected with WA, I felt the same way too. And I also now find writing for my site a joy. But there was a time that I got so tired of writing for my niche that I hired a content writer. This allowed me to focus on my email marketing campaigns as well as focus on another profitable niche site.
As you continue to build your online business, you may want to start outsourcing and content writers are a plenty. You can find some really good ones on Fiverr for very reasonable prices, but I’d recommend Human Proof Designs for value and cost over any other freelance writing outfit.
Thanks,
Todd
